  • ya, dat tenor guy with crooked nose and medieval hairstyle is indeed "camera friendly", lol

  • hm bin so lieb

  • What year is it please?

  • @coleoptere218 The year is 2011. (Oh, you mean the setting for the film.)

  • This was written originally for all male choristers with boy sopranos and male altos

  • Yes, they're camera friendly, but can you really find fault with any of their voices? Young choral talent like this is pretty scarce in the good ol' USA.

  • The soloists seem to be suspiciously "camera-friendly" in the looks department. I hope no talented singer was pushed into the choir background because of the presence of cameras.

  • Love the counter tenor ...

  • that choir is really good.

  • Muy bonita composición.

  • This is just wonderful! Such a talented group of performers...

  • piękny

  • they are focused in so much on that one girl... I mean sure she is pretty no doubt but it's just kind of funny.

  • can anybody tell me what te deum means? i want to know why they sing non nobis and te deum at the end of henry v.

  • @Jaythedoors Te Deum are the two first words of a latin prayer sang during special occasions celebrating a victory over the enemies and thanking God. Te Deum means "you God...(we praise)"

  • @cyparris3 cheers pal i wanted to

know as they sing it at the end of

    henry v thanks again

  • I like to listen and watch everything that Clare College does - what a fantastic, superbly talented group of artists.

  • questo brano lo cantai da giovane, con le parole del vexilla regis e il veni creator

    che bei ricordi

  • perfect voices and musicians...

    5☆

  • I also like the version done in plainchant , with hand-bells.

  • What a pity that Purcell died so young. Think of the music that he might have written, had he lived.

    A most beautiful performance.

  • I think the same of Mozart, their music continued to improve up to their deaths. Yes indeed, just imagine!

  • @lichtbroeder : We are all called to the next world before we know it !

  • @lichtbroeder : The span of a man's life is set before a man is born : "We acknowledge Thee to be the Lord."

  • @MusicPredominates Yes, true, but we still lament the death of certain people who die young. The fact that that span is "set" by the Lord changes nothing in that regard.

  • @lichtbroeder : The most important thing is that we enjoy the music. David (Australia).

  • Magnificent; I just want to listen to it over and over. What a great collection of musicians and singers.

  • Magnifique! Je trouve toute les voix sont magnifiquement bien présenter ici! Bravo AV

  • my favorite part is 1:26 to 2:03. This Te Deum is brillant.

  • I wish they wouldn't sing vibrato; this music is written for plain voice.

  • I didn't know Geddy Lee sang in Clare Choir

  • A highly commendable performance of virtuosi! Use of a large Venetian style theorbo adds swell onto figured bass. Admired tradition of Cambridge. Notes from theorbo, from organ and trumpets harmonise so smoothly to the extent that you do not even hear the sonorous cross over point between different instrument.

  • This has really inspired me. The countertenor is particularly sublime. Shame about the philistines who don't get it....

  • What a countertenor! I dream of getting tone, flexibility, precision and enunciation like that. Simply wonderful.

  • To date : over 17 thousand views. Can't be as boring as that. You might think these "dudes" are "nerds" but I'd be surprised if you could do better otherwise you wouldn't say such a thing. A great piece and very well performed in my opinion.

  • UR BORING UR ANTI-INTELLECTUAL gb2/b/

  • If you say so .you are not so good at choirmusic. This Choir is Extremely good

  • is that liev schreiber playing the trumpet???!!!

  • Great Natural Trumpet playing. Well done Michael :)

  • Henry Purcell and G F Handel, the greatest composers that ever lived and grace this earth. Forgive me, but Bach and Beethoven pale in comparison

  • thanks for sharing =]

  • Merveilleux choeur, merveilleuse musique et très bonne prise de vue. Merci

  • lovely countertenor solo at 2:30 !!

  • I was a part of a choir that visited this choir in Cambridge and heard them sing something in Latinand English, vague memories from 5 years ago when I was 13-14.
