  • hey! i was wondering if you HAVE to ride the rides? like manta? i would really like to do this, but i hate rides! please help !! :)

  • @AuntJoMama24 You most certainly don't! (: There will always be at least one counselor that doesn't go on the ride, so you can always stay with them. Though I've never opted out of a ride, I do believe that they will go to another attraction of some sort. On the last night at SeaWorld, you have to option to ride Kraken and Journey to Atlantis, but if you don't want to, there are plenty of other games around, as well as exhibits such as the Penguin Encounter. So in short, no, you don't have to(:

  • @estelle497 thanks so much for answering! i have two more questions, if you dont mind answering. :)

1.) do you do a lot of things with the beluga whales? they're my favorite animal ever and i would love to interact with them often!

2.)i know you drove, but if you take a plane, do you have to have transportation from the airport to seaworld?

  • @AuntJoMama24 No problem! Absolutely! (: (1. It sort of depends on which camp you do. As far as the camp I went to, I'll be honest when I say you don't. But there's a Beluga Interaction Program you can do on the day your camp ends (you and your family get free admission to the park!). You do have to pay for it, but it's an absolutely phenomenal experience! (2. Nope! I've flown to camp before, and if you do it with your family, you can go with them to SeaWorld. It's totally up to you. (:

  • @estelle497 also, the first day ive heard that you play some 'ice breakers' what are those exactly ? (;

  • @estelle497 im sorry if im bothering you. but im really interested in going. (; what kind of clothes did you bring ?

  • @AuntJoMama24 No worries (: The ice breakers just include games like Pterodactyl (which is pretty hilarious!) and just stuff where you sit around in a circle and get to know the other campers. And as far as clothes, mainly shorts and t-shirts. Bring some hoodies or sweatshirts as well, especially for the night in Wild Arctic. Otherwise, it's Florida weather, so it'll be hot in general. You will do a lot of walking though, so tennis shoes are a must!

  • Okay screw San Diego camp lol. I've done Res Camp in SWC since 4th or 5th grade, I'm doing Orlando this next year hah :3

  • This is a amazing camp :) ive already gone to the younger camp while going into grade 7 but now im going back to this one for the grade 10-12 camp soon so cant wait, it will be amazzing :)

  • im going to the 10-12 grade camp in orlando jun 13-18 it looks fun

  • I NEED to do this. Did you get to swim in the medical pool even after the incident with Dawn? Also, did u get to interact with the whales in any way? Underwater viewing?

  • did u get to touch or interact with the killer whales?

  • OMG I did the exact same camp!!! I went in July!!!! Who were ur councilors??? :D I totally agree: best week of my life!!!!!

  • soo what hotel did you stay at in orlando?

  • i can honestly back u up and say it IS the best week of any animal lover's LIFE!!! you miss it every single day with all your heart and u love every second you are there!!! it is pricy but 10000% WORTH IT!!1!!! DO IT adventure camp could change you're life

  • Oh I hope I can do the camp this summer:D I miss SeaWorld so much:)

    **Narnia**HP**SeaWorld**4ever!!!

  • Do u get to have interactions with the orcas?

  • Awh love your video! :D Looks like SO much fun!!I wanna go to the grade 10-12, 2011 camp so bad! :D If u can could u tell me a lil more about the camp??

  • @MirandaLynnzie Thank you! Very much so! The camp is a little on the more pricey side, but you have to take it all into consideration - you're spending a week at a world class theme park with food, hotel, and experiences included. You get to spend a week (or more, if you want to!) working with hundreds of amazing animals, and you get a feeling of what it's like to work at SeaWorld. It's incredibly educational, and SO much fun! And the friends and memories you make last a lifetime. :)

  • Was this the grades 10-12 career camp? that's what I'm doing next year. can't wait!

  • @LSGxTryan Hey!Omg i wanna go to that one 2! :D

  • @LSGxTryan This was the 7-9 camp - the 10-12 camp does similar activities, except they get to participate in parts of the SeaWorld swim test in the Whale and Dolphin show pool! So have fun!

  • @estelle497 You forsure get to do the swin tests? Bc thats what i wanna do when old (Train Orcas)

  • Thats where im goin next summer woooo!! looks so funn!!!:D

  • I'm doing the Marine Zoological Carrers camp in SWT next summer. It' s gonna be so awesome

  • That looks ace looked like you had a really good time! :D

  • @Lucatheking16 I truly did! :)

  • "participate in a sea lion training session", wow what did you get to do? :D

Lovely photos! It's interesting seeing how our camp experiences differ, and it shows you never know exactly what'll be included, which is great!

  • @incrediblexthings For the training session, there was a young sea lion that had just been transferred from Pacific Point, and they had to get him desensitized to loud noises for shows, so they acted out several scenes with him while we had to be as loud as possible. (Which wasn't that hard..(;) And thank you! Very much so!
