@mikeyzeov mike man, thank you for these vids. Ive been looking into these newer iMacs for the past couple weeks. I've been debating whether or not this machine (21.5" 2.8 ghz i7 with the radeon 6770m 512mb) would be good for college and a bit of gaming (just wow). Well, thanks to your video, I am convinced. Thanks again man, appreciated :)
I noticed that you said your graphics card is an "AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 512MB". I was wondering if you thought it would be worth purchasing the iMac with the AMD Radeon HD 6970M with 1GB? Or if anyone thought it would really make a difference and be worth the extra money.
@MrNormanw2 i did absolutely nothing other than installing the games and run it.. not even changing the operating system! :-) so that means this is totally how it came from the Apple store :)
@GKK47GAMER theres an ingame screen recorder built in World of Warcraft for mac users, so all i have to do is bind a button and it will record everything i do :-) and thanks a lot :)
If anyone knows of a video showing WoW on a 21.5" iMac. Let me know, cuz that's the one i ordered. I hope its good. and i'm talking about $1,199 iMac. Not the $1,499 iMac
Do you get a considerably lower picture quality if you change the resolution to say, 1920x1080?
I know that it is always better to play in the native resolution, but it would be great to have the option to play in lower resolutions on the more demanding games. I just don't want to lose to much "picture quality".
It would also be great if you could upload another WoW video when you run around a populated server with the 1920x1080 resolution.
@FredrikJansson1 Hey man, i just tried it real quick on kazzak with 1920x1080, i got 130FPS some places, and around 25-40 FPS average in orgrimmar, the quality was still great, and still looks nice, i'll most likely be playing on that resolution if i ever start playing again :-)
About SC2, the problem is, i don't play it, but i have a few IRL friends who does, so i have to get them to play it on my machine, so it will most likely take a while, but i'll see what i can do :)
lol, even my macbook pro that i got from my school can play WOW =P

Thank you for making this video! It was very helpful and you are AWESOME!
I have been thinking about purchasing and iMac lately and I was wondering how well games would run on it since I am sick of xbox live XD
I was just wondering if you added anything to your iMac to make it run this good or if you are using it the way it came from the apple store?

Best to play WoW in bootcamp with DX11 GPUs. Still wont be great on ultra though, unless you take down shadows.

I5 quad core 3.1ghz
1TB hdd
4GB DDR3 ram (will upgrade later on)
6970 1GB m

And do you play wow on windows (dual boot) or mac itself

Awesome, I had planned on buying the 2000 iMac with the Radeon 6970. Howerver, it looks like the 6770 will fit my needs quite right!
