Well if you think about it, when Shadow fell to Earth after using Chaos Control to teleport the Ark to its original space orbiting Earth, wasnt he still in his Super form? So basically wherever he landed he was still super and therefore invulnerable, so maybe Eggman captured him, erased his memory and made him believe he was a clone?
....just thought of something...where the part that says we all danced in fire and the part where it says as the eggman watches..makes me think something like, we all dance in fire as the devil watches O.o....awesome XD

@scotb6 I don't consider this band famous when we talk about Music in general. The band has been around quite a while but when I talk to people about music and say I like Crush 40 or any other band that does Video Game Music, most of the time, people reply to me like I am insane or something. So I wouldn't get my hopes up when we talk about bands like these.
Everyone SHOULD know that Shadow was created 50 years ago by Professor Gerald Robotnik, whose grandson is Doctor Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik. Robotnik is the family name. Eggman is Ivo's nickname, due to his egg shape, his apparent obsession with creating things in the shape of an egg and also including 'egg' in the names of these creations.
I know what Shadow and Rouge do alone together. =) Also, if anybody thinks the Shadow from Sonic Heros is a robot, SPOILER ALERT, he's not. There are a lot of details that show that he's the original.

@TheMasterZero19 his name is, has been, and will always will be. dr. ivo robotnik, everyone just calls him eggman, maybe its cause he's fat, or maybe its cause everything he used to build was shaped like an egg, or the fact that all of his inventions have EGG in the title. i think it started as a fat joke personally. sonic saying witty one liners before the fight n all. as for the REAL truth, more research is required, be im certain its one or a combination of what ive listed.
@garmo1968 actually he was known as eggman in japan since the first game, and robotnik everywhere else but when sonic adventure came they started calling him eggman in all other countries too.
it was a translation error in sonic adventure. Robotnik's japanese name is doctor eggman and the translators must gotten confused and thought it was a nickname.

Rouge wanted Eggman's secret treasure. Shadow wanted his memory back. And Omega wanted his revenge on Eggman for sealing him in the room where Rouge found them both.

@scotb6 I don't consider this band famous when we talk about Music in general. The band has been around quite a while but when I talk to people about music and say I like Crush 40 or any other band that does Video Game Music, most of the time, people reply to me like I am insane or something. So I wouldn't get my hopes up when we talk about bands like these.

Everyone SHOULD know that Shadow was created 50 years ago by Professor Gerald Robotnik, whose grandson is Doctor Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik. Robotnik is the family name. Eggman is Ivo's nickname, due to his egg shape, his apparent obsession with creating things in the shape of an egg and also including 'egg' in the names of these creations.

@ ALL the people who are asking why his name is Eggman and not Robotnik: Eggman is the ENGLISH name for Robotnik. Robotnik's the japanese name for the Doctor. Look it up on Wikipedia if you don't believe me. :)

@TheMasterZero19 his name is, has been, and will always will be. dr. ivo robotnik, everyone just calls him eggman, maybe its cause he's fat, or maybe its cause everything he used to build was shaped like an egg, or the fact that all of his inventions have EGG in the title. i think it started as a fat joke personally. sonic saying witty one liners before the fight n all. as for the REAL truth, more research is required, be im certain its one or a combination of what ive listed.

it was a translation error in sonic adventure. Robotnik's japanese name is doctor eggman and the translators must gotten confused and thought it was a nickname.
