  • Another part owner of the horse here, nothing fixed about it & you can all stop slagging Adrian lane off now cause that's not called for!! She wasn't at all tired & Adrian had ridden her lots and won in her before & his words were someone in the crowd had caught her attention and if that's what he said then I believe him. Sadly the mare was injured but is now is foal :)

  • maxtudor, my comment is not Pure Tosh it is my honest opinion expressed after over fifty years of watching steeplechasing and having regularly visited Towcester over the years. A horse can easily empty out over the climb to the line there because it its so stiff between 3 out (the last ditch) and the back of 2 out. They might have been galloping ok on the flat but jumping a 4ft 6in fence is a different matter entirely. They were probably too knackered to jump which caused the problem

  • @arkleno1 Don't agree with you on this1.Iv'e been to Towcester a few times & have seen plenty of horses empty aftet seemingly travelling well. This though for me is a clear case of jockey error! the jockey almost falls of the horse b4 the horse has even readied itself for the fence.Your right about Towcester though it is a stiff track & takes some getting.

  • further, in greyhound racing , there is no human on him, the lure has nothing to do with the outcome(been upstairs where they operate it(a track idiot operates the lure and has no clue), when they enter the paddock, they sit there(i was a lead out, before working my way up on the racing side of the business(2 seperate identities)..u cant make a dog faster either..proven...but it is too unpredictable(bumping)..u cant win. Horsracing is a dying currupt sport..you cannot freakin win.

  • pure proof that jockeys and trainors fix races

  • @amzingjourney how the fuck was that fixed, the first horse refused and the 2nd horse was brought down by the 1st,so no its not proof that jockeys and trainers fix races,am sure they do but not going on this!!

  • @samtheeltican well i see your comment back to me was flagged as spam, how can you take delight in this sport "dying" do you know how many jobs would be lost if you got your way,a few weeks ago we seen racing at its best with Kauto Star winning a 5th King George, yes there is a small rouge element in racing, thats widely known, but its one of the worlds greatest sports in the world..and if you dont like it thats fair enough but al continue to follow my horses,

  • @samtheeltican a small rouge element? I was a trainor at wonderland greyhound park..you cant cheat with dogs.....the only thing a trainor knows is when a layoff is ready...that info is not in the program....morning school a grade b pup with the best dog in your kennell. if he wins, then he is ready..there is no cheating in pup racing..i suppose u can dope a dog...never happens. but thoroughbred racing....please stop betting on it..currupt and officials look the other way. give up$

  • Okay, but I do think that by using the word fixed you do imply skulduggery that was not there. Now I am sure that you did not mean anything by it, but there are enough people who have a down on our great sport to believe it is a fiddle when it is not

  • The video title is a contradiction.. How can a void race be fixed?? doh!

  • Why would it be fixed? No-one would win any money.

  • What a ridiculous statement to say it is fixed. You show complete ignorance of racing. It was a novice chase at one of the stiffest tracks in the country. You cannot nor would want to make a horse fall like that. It is obvious that the leader is out on his feet at the last and tries to refuse the other horse has no chance of staying on his feet. No remounting allowed, so race void. That's horses for you get over it.

  • @arkleno1 The leader wasn't out on its feet lol it was running on fine and whilst the race clearly was no fix the jockey on the leader should never have sat up on the leader.Jockey error cost the horse if it was so knacered it wouldn't have got over the final fence at all.The commentater saved the jockey by claiming it refused the jockey shouln't have eased of so much.

  • @arkleno1 Pure Tosh, both horses were travelling fine. A jockey looking between his legs coming to the take off for a fence should get a life ban, the jockey in red had plenty of time to steer right to advoid the striken horse too. Not sure how they could fix this but looks dodgy.

  • Get your own footage of it, mine has 2400 views. :p

And course it's not fixed you prat.

  • @JamieCobbler ur footage was from attheraces as well

  • All I can say speaking as a part owner of the horse that was in the lead at the last is that it wasn't fixed. That cost us the best part of £4k in prize money.

As the horse is ok I can sort of see the funny side to it!

  • @kittochsider what i don't understand is why can't they remount? i so hope that dumb stupid rule dosen't still exist

  • @MYBIGKINDHEART

This is a recent rule and it was brought in with the best of intentions to ensure that a horse who is injured in a fall is not subjected to undue stress before being checked by a vet. I am basically in favour of it, but it will lead to situations like this in a small field on a stiff old track like Towcester.

  • @MYBIGKINDHEART Well they can remount if they don't have another fence to jump but if they have more fences to jump they are not allowed remount! Silly rule really as Jockies wouldnt not put horses welfare at risk.

You should look up the race at Southwell, Mccoy was riding the favourite and he fell early, but everything else fell, Mccoy remounted and on the race!
