Honestly are people blind? Resistance 2 has HORRID textures and the game's lack of detail amazes me, Gears 2 is so much more detailed and is a honed and more explained version of Resistance 2's story, plus in R1 Nathan Hale didn't even speak, now he says few words and is just generic. Marcus from GoW feels like a real character instead of some tool used by the army who does as he is told. Hale is treated like shit and takes it, Marcus has the balls to speak up, he is more believable.

Gears 2 clearly kills Resistance 2's blurry as fuck textures, in gameplay they cannot be directly compared, but for an FPS resistance 2 is slow and has awkward controls and is technologically and generally inferior to FC2 or COD4 or COD:WaW. Gears 2 has better animations, sounds, graphics, smoother framerate and better gameplay for its genre, as well as one of the best TPS cover systems and great guns, its an instant classic with its chracters and compellingly great campaign. Just my opinon.

I have played both games and to me resistance is like a upgrade version of gears of wars.

im sorry guys but to me gears of war 1s story beat the heck out of the 2. For one thing, the boss fights in gears of war 1 was alot better than 2. like the berserkers, it was more free, you could move around. gow 2 was straight forward, like advance the enemy is in front of you. not to mention all the boss fights were repeated patterns, beating skorge was not as fun as killing raam on insane. to me i liked resistances boss fights.i wouldve rated the story on resistance 10 if gow deserves a 10.

resistance 2 is good. the online isnt that hard if your concerned about getting killed. just play on skirmish mode or team death match and you wont die as much. and the 60 player online is awesome. its like a huge war every were you go.

HALO 3 was relieased after GOW and resistance was relieased before RESISTANCE before GOW and HALO so R1 hasnt rip of anything from HALO3 and neither R2 does.
