  • This is why America is great! Good for Tommy DeCarlo!

  • When brad died so did boston, i saw them many times and that is the way i will remember them. it is all about the money. they should have done what queen did, the band said when freddy died so did queen.

  • Get rid of decarlo or put him behind the stage singing haromy and backup. He has no place on stage. He dresses like a slop and looks very out of place onstage.

  • man tom scholz has perfect teeth

  • I'm not the biggest fan, but I really love this band. I'm amazed at the hatred directed toward Boston and bands like Ac-DC or Alice-in-Chains; bands that have lost their lead singer but want to continue on. I say go for it Boston! Go for it like Alice in Chains has done. Go for it and fuck the whiners who want you to sit home on your coach and watch some bullshit reality show. I have never had the pleasure of seeing Boston live BUT if I get the chance I'll be there! You gotta keep on living.

  • @oceans20113 Hey man I have a great idea to get out some of your frustration with Boston. If you ever have the opportunity to see a Boston show, bring a big bag of shlt with you and take mouthful after mouthful and blow it up on stage.

  • Michael Sweet rocked here .....Tommy ....go back to your day job !!!

  • What did you do to the sound?

  • i think the new lead singer for journey was found on the internet too.

  • Tom Scholz has turned the Awesome band Boston into a horrible joke.

  • Sorry you feel that way....did you see them on tour in 2008 ? Have you ever seen them period , live ? When the new CD is finished and hopefully a tour ensues , go see them , it will change your mind .

  • @bahashawa

No way another CD or Tour is gonna happen ..

    Boston is finished !!!!! Tommy ????? a Joke !!

A legend in his own Home Depot mind brutha

    Peace

  • @oceans20113 I am a hard core BOSTON fan , from day one . This guy Tommy Decarlo has the heart and soul , he just needs a little professional guidance . He has the music in him , he needs to let it out professionally . This is rare what he has . The CD is almost done , a tour will follow , I will be there....will you ?

  • @bahashawa1

no .............. I won't waste money on any more Boston crap ...

The last CD had 1 good song on it .... Scholz tried to re-do it ....Yikes

They are DONE as a band .... unless Scholz brings back some of the original members...(Goudreau) etc That will not happen ..... The next CD will fail as well !!

  • @BrianMorrison71

    IMPOSSIBLE!

  • that's weird, I wonder if my guy knows your guy who knows this guy who knows this dude. lol Probably.

  • who's the greatest rock and roll band ever???

    yeah...Boston

    Keep rockin guys (and gal)...

    4rest

  • he is performing at my music store streetwise music dec 2nd 2009!

  • It's a sad thing to see legendary bands reduce to this. Sad.

  • What? Giving a big fan a chance to play in his favorite band.

  • No, this guy is a karaoke singer who looks like a guy working at home depot onstage...

  • This is a great story. Guy can SING too. Very cool. Good luck fellas.

  • this guy is the real deal, im so glad they found him

new album coming out sometime in 2009

    CANT WAIT!

  • Yes I have heared just before new years! I cant wait also!!! BOSTON FOREVER!

  • Dude, grow your hair out or get some extensions, too clean cut lookin! But a great replacement, I still like Mike Sweet though. Cheers Tom.

  • He sings very good, Its nice that he is singing with boston he looks like a cool guy I like him but...Im looking at a karoake guy on stage with a super band and makes me laugh!!!! Rock stars need certain kind of attitude and singer is the image of a band im sorry Tommy I would have to replace you with Michael Sweet

  • Maybe ill get a job at walmart and join led zepplin

  • lol.

  • I grew up with Tommy and jammed with him for a bit during our high school days. He's a very cool guy. Cheers from North Utica, N.Y. !!!!

  • My Mom Dated Him and my guitar teacher knows him well haha

  • bull crap

  • Good for you, Tommy! You've got a shockingly steep learning curve, but you're in great hands. The music of Boston must continue to be shared! It may be a dream come true for you, but it's a genuine service to those of us who would no longer be able to appreciate this band live (and Sweet may be the nicest guy in the world, but, imho, not Boston-y).

  • If you went to a show from the last tour you would soon realize what a "mistake" it was to have DeCarlo sing with the band..... Michael Sweet (an actual musician) with talent sang half the songs anyway....

Until DeCarlo develops a better stage presence he should just stay on the sidelines.... Tom Scholz should have held back until Tommy was better prepared......

  • you suck thats my uncle and you have no right to say that he sounds better than your uncle

  • Oh, and RIP, Brad. We love you.

  • I feel a tinge of jealousy......but mostly I'm proud of the guy!!! He'll get taught some stage presence eventually, but it's about the music anyway.....isn't it? Hey, it's a regular guy singing like our man Brad. That's pretty cool, wouldn't you say? Sing it Tom!!!

  • aLL the best to Tommy and congrats to Boston!

  • First Kurt Warner, now Tommy DeCarlo. Ain't America great? Damn, you gotta love it.... Tommy looks like on stage that he's on break from Home Depot! He doesn't fit the mold but that's what makes it so great.

  • @jrock2264

No ..... guess you are happy with listening to second best rock ....

If you saw the tour you would agree that Michael Sweet stole the show bro.

All Tommy did was look lost and bang on that stupid tambourine that Scholz gave him. Maybe Scholz was hoping to band that cutie on bass!! LOL

  • Heard this guy live in concert this summer and let me tell you, he was awewsome! He has the pipes. What a terrific thing to happen to the guy. It keeps the rest of us little people going.

  • amen dude. it's the most inspirational thing ever for myself who loves jammin' in bands. along with arnel the new journey singer. almost anything can happen now with the internet

  • He does sound like Brad but doesn't seem to have the sheer passion of an Arnel Pineada. I hope they continue to groom this guy and turn him into a better performer. You got to love these internet success stories.

  • Great story, but please don't make comparissons.

  • I'm kind of struck at how much Scholz looks like Karen Carpenter in this interview.

  • hahHAAAHAAAAAAAAA

  • Great story and he sounds great. Funny though, I went to a video of Brad singing Amanda after this and almost cried though!

  • wow, sounds great and what a great story. brad never be replaced but at least we can still listen to boston great music live!

reminds me of new journey's lead vocalist ( the phillipino guy)

  • he sounds like Brad. wow.

  • LOVE Tommy's voice

    but still miss Brad

    like crazy.

    RIP Brad

    Thanks for the gift

    you gave all of us.

  • Will Mark Wahlberg play him in the movie?

    ;-)

(Just a little joke for those who've seen "Rock Star". No offense whatsoever intended to anybody; I think this is very cool.)

  • Be very cool if they did a new studio LP with Tommy as a tribute to Brad. Also, really love to have some new Boston music, could be huge!

  • nice!

  • this is such a great story, rock on Tommy! Thank you for keeping Boston alive!

  • get on tommy!!! delp im sure your happy from where you are right now... peace!!

  • Great story : )

  • Boston has a strange history and this is the latest chapter. If it has not been done already, a book should be written.

  • ~amazing~ !!

  • Thanks for the video clip. We saw Boston last night and it was uncanny how close to Brad's voice he is. He hit *everything* perfectly. The good news is that he definitely loosened up, becoming a performer later in the night after just standing there belting out the tunes earlier. Great talent.

  • My husband went to school with Tommy! This is amazing - what a dream come true for him.

  • What a country that we live in. I love this.

  • Yea North Carolina!!!! We're proud of you. This is unbelievable. First Arnel Pineda, then this guy......thank goodness for the internet.

  • I get to see them perform tomorrow, yay

  • Nice video btw

  • Thanks, Andrew. Take care of your grandma and listen to your dad. I hope to see you guys very soon...

  • Will do

  • Hi Uncle BILLY! This is Andrew, your nephiew :P
