I'm sorry for the late reply. I don't check my mail often. You're probably done with the exhibit by now. Anyways, sure you can if you can figure out how to remove the background noise from the shop.
I am setting up an art exhibition and was wondering if you would allow us to use the sound in your clip? It's perfect for the kind of atmosphere we want. Permission would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
@kowloon89 I'm sorry my first reply got disconnected from your comment. You'll have to return to the video to see it. If it isn't too late and you haven't already done the exhibit, you can go ahead.
@e510275 You're entitled to your dislike. Though I'm sort of puzzled what you were expecting and what you wanted out of this video when you hit the play button. Some feedback on what could be made better would be helpful.
I am going to try my hand at stain glass windchimes as well. I agree though that they are annoying, especially if put on a windy side of the house. The only way that our neighbors can hear a chime here is if they are trespassing.
@sxr951 Ha yeah, They're the assholes...What would be better is if people who look for ANY opportunity to complain about the slightest things and express their discontent about their miserable lives without a trace of humor would have their vocal chords removed...Now that I could get behind ;)

Irritating noise used to drive neighbours insane. Unsociable and should be banned. The only people that appreciate this kind of noise are those insecure people who can't stand to listen to their own thoughts
@waroftheworldseu I find it hilarious that you actively sought out a YouTube video of wind chimes so you could complain about the sound of..wind chimes XD.. Cantankerous people like you are why I love living in the countr, at a good distance from neighbors.
@kenrben well at the time my neighbours windchimes was driving me crazy- i live in an apartment block. And yet you still found to need to come back to rebuttle my comment- it's irrony at a base level but I like it.
@waroftheworldseu I do have great sympathy. windchimes were actually considered noise pollution in the U.K, and councils could order their removal. It was hellish here when chimes were 'fashionable'..the sound soon grated, and now I cannot bear them! The sound of the wind in the trees is beautiful, no need for twinlkle twankle tinkle DONK DONK twink every time it gets windy. Luckily no one has them now, as passé! Wind in trees is so much nicer.
Odd my first comment didn't go through. It was sold at our local conservatory. I don't remember the brand name but I believe it may be Music of the Spheres, likely either the Chinese or Japanese series. It's probably the "alto", whatever has a dragonfly symbol painted on it.
If you look it up, there is a site that has some pretty awesome samples from chimes in that series.
from what i've searched i deffinitely think it's a soprano, just not sure if it is the chinese or japanese series. i really like the one in this video lol.
hmm, the one in this video sounds a little more high pitched where the one in the music of the spheres website sounds more deeper. thanks for showing me the website though, maybe i can keep searching for it from there.
Okay I went to the conservatory today and saw one for sale. It's not this one, but I got the info.
It's from a brand called Evergreen. They have a series of chimes called Melodia and this particular one is "Whisper" Odd I can't seem to find it on google anywehere...
I don't think you could change the pitch or the tune. They were after all just a regular wind chime (with an inflated price tag). I just happened to like that particular model they had to offer. It was the only one that I thought played a tune in pitch. The others just sounded like regular old wind chimes...
love the tone. really uhm...i dont know how to describe it...it sounds like music

Nice tone. It's too bad it's only 17 seconds
DeeSwizzle 2 years ago 5
yea it is a nice sound, where was this taken from?
metaxas10 3 years ago
The "music" wasn't taken from anywhere except the sound the chimes produced when I swung the cord. That's part of the beauty of it.

i meant where was this store?

Okay I think I found a pretty good match with their Music of the Spheres Balinese Wind Chime series. See if their Mezzo-Soprano matches this one.

the one in this video is called whisper from evergreen? ok i will deffinitely remember that. thanks a bunch, you didn't have to look it up for me..
metaxas10 3 years ago
Well it was easy to do since I go to the conservatory pretty regularly and the gift shop isn't hard to find.
BugFolk 3 years ago
wow. they play a tune...
they are in pitch.
can you get them tuned to what ever scales or chords you want?
say Amaj7 or Dminor?
bugsycline 3 years ago

BugFolk 3 years ago
actualy there are some (I found out) that are tuned. you can get custom made ones that will play a chord of your choice....
after watching this video, I purchased a cmaj an am7 and a d9...
I hang them at oposite ends of my porch and when the wind goes by, it plays a song....
