This video could use a little editing to make it shorter. I love GB rally stages; there's something about racing in the forest, hearing engines roaring in the distance. And the nice soft dirt tracks, great for sliding and flinging dirt on corners. A rally car looks best when it's spattered in muck, like a 4:15. Is the bottom of the engine bay open, or did all that mud get on the engine through the vents? I would love to own this car, or at least his old Alfa Ferrari. Both mechanical miracles.

Don't think he has the same engine in it now, believe it's now a new 2.9 Litre V6 Cosworth engine, which offer more tourque but less BHP. Still sounds good!

The engine in this car is an Opel-Cosworth KF V6. 2.5 litre but absolutely miniscule in size, weighs in at 90kg all up which is light weight for a 400+ hp engine. When being used in the ITC (DTM as it is now)it ran pneumatic valve springs and was pushing out 500hp from 2.5 litres at 14,000rpm. Now with wire valve springs and a sensible low rev limit of only 11,000 revs they still push out around 400hp with a nice torque spread as well.

i worked on the diff an gearbox for this car its meant to be limited to 300bhp for stage rallys but my estimate would be 350-400 judging on the mess it made of the rear diff

I don't perfectly know mate!! All i can tell u is that it is a Mid-mounted naturally aspirated 2.5 litre, 24 valve, V6 Cosworth DFV(originally from an Opel German Touring Car). But i will ask Andy next time i see him!! If u want me 2??
