The idea that a book, any book, contains nothing valuable merely because it is very old is sophomoric, at best.
Also, though I haven't seen the video you're responding to and so don't know its tone, I would mention (because you, if you are going to discuss religion, should know) that Christian doctrine actually doesn't preach that man should morally judge man. It denounces such behavior, in fact. The thought is that man should acknowledge that God will judge all. And there is a vast difference.

ummm the idea of something being old is not right is wrong. What we use this as something is in a way that says something wrote 2000 years old cant always be right and should not say what we should do for everything. Your logic is as flawless as your sentence construction. That is, your response is more or less unreadable, but I did pick up two things: firstly, you include me in the "you guys" (Christian) category. That is incorrect. Secondly, the Bible still has every bit of truth today it ever has had. What exactly you consider that truth to be is up to you, but to discount it due to its age is silly. If I had space I would discuss its history to make that point. Should I discount Aristotle's philosophies?

I dont mean as in since its old, thus its wrong. What I mean is saying it is true no matter what is just crazy. As in one part it talks about how to bet your slave and what not. You did imply that the age of the text is a major factor. Recall your multiple references to its being "2000 years old" and also the direct connection made between this number and the book's truth. But that is merely incidental. I don't care. The point is that religion is in these videos misrepresented and misunderstood.

Well, I am not catholic (just to clarify...) but it's if you die with sins still on your conscience... If you don't have final rights or a chance to pray before you die or whatever, you go to purgatory because you're still "sinful" and therefore not ready to go to heaven... then you must wait for the second coming of Christ to go to heaven... but I think all that is just silly.. which is why I am not catholic...

- If you reject the cop-out story of Babylon, apply a little science, and acknowledge the possibility of evolution, you can see how the different tribes (races) of humans changed characteristics by migrating through different terrain. Plus you get a perspective on how long we must have been around.
- Of course, this requires you to accept some basic scientific principals, acknowledge some very valid non-white history, and reject the lame excuse for history provided by religion.

I have to say though that a lot of people think Christians make decisions because they are afraid of hell, but they are the same as everyone else in most things.
