Same with Paul Williams, Motown is a shady place lol ... Read into the Temptations, Watch the movie, read the book (Both written by Otis, so it is one side of a five sided story), it is captivating. I was a year or 2 younger then you when I first got into the tempts, and they are still my favorite band ever. (especially David Ruffin)

Too bad the audience was a bunch of white folks sitting in their seats. ( And I'm a WASP) This is a classic of the time then and now. The dance moves may be practiced but hey sure are in sync and the emotional delivery is real. @jweezy777 david didnt die very young. He played with the temptations in the early 90's at a reunion show and demanded to be payed in cash. A few days later, someone dropped his body of in front of a philadelphia hospital. He is an amazing artist, and it is a shame that his crack habits got the best of him. The temptations will always epitomize true motor city class.

@trw1501 actually I did further reading to know that the original song writer wrote this song about his wife cheating on him. He committed suicide a week after this song came out. This song has such deep, feeling and such a powerful message we have ll been there in life. So sad and yet so true.
