That's a brain buster not a DDT. If you'll think that's sick look at Koko B. Ware's brain busters when he was in the WWF/WWE. Even Bobby Heenan once said beating a guy with that move was unnecessary, after Ware had hit them with the drop kick off the top rope. Very underated wrestler. FU VINCE.
Sweet chocolate cup is going into my vocabulary for an expression of great shock and excitement. HOLY SWEET CHOCOLATE CUP! WHAT A TERRIBLE CAR ACCIDENT!
I read on the wikipedia to find out more on Mitsuharu Misawa's death they said moves like this are gonna come to a stop. But I think it was just talk. (R.I.P. Mitsuharu Misawa)
They will be cut down on, most likely, but they won't be stopped completely. The Backdrop Suplex hasn't been cut out of the picture at all, and that's got arguably the biggest stigma among wrestling moves in Japan right now.
i'm not even so sure on the cut down idea... NOAH has been working stiffer and stiffer matches over the last 6 months and Misawa's death changed nothing in my opinion. you only need to look at the matches involving Shiozaki especially.. he obliterated Aoki at times in their recent match.. forget what he and KENTA did to each other. any death is a tragedy, but to me a bigger tragedy would be seeing puroresu soften down :(
here is the thing though, despite the fact that the move was the one used on Misawa when he died it is just a move. you can be crippled or killed from any move, he took the move and both men took the proper precautions. The fact that misawa's spine separated was due to one simple fact, he wrestled for a long time taking huge bumbs(burning hammer, kawada driver, brainbusters, back drop drivers, german suplexes) Misawa wreslted for a long time,he had an incredible career and died doing what he loved
the commentator says (in my best attempt to write in romaji) 'suichokuraka'... which roughly translates as vertical drop... you hear it quite a lot e.g. 'suichokurakashiki burainobusta' (vertical drop system brainbuster)
It looks amazing, but I have no clue why someone would agree to let them do that. After I saw the first guy take it, I think I'd have to pass. "Can't you just, you know, set me on fire or something?"

Personally, I ended a lot of matches with this move on the n64 and psx. Career spanned from World Tour through No Mercy. Miss them days.

Suichoku: Vertical or Sheerdrop.
NoahFan114 2 years ago
dont you need 落下 (raka) for it to be 'drop/fall'? 垂直 (suichoku) just means vertical/perpendicular ... or so i thought! =)
