  • lol those fish are all stressed out!!!really they are swimming so fast *(sign of stress)*

  • @TigerAlbino1800 actually. my male betta and 6 danios have been living fine for the last 2 years together..

  • That betta is soooooooo stressed out hes trying to look at the danios going every which way. Don't get a fish if you know nothing about them but i'm glad your smart enough to put him in a 10 gallon tank.

  • please watch

  • @ReptileLuver729 you should always cycle a tank but you add fish in while cycling if u want to, betta and dainos are hardy fish and are ideal for using as live fish cycling as they don't produce much waste and can handle the water parameters. most people will avoid using fish to cycle tanks, but not me.

  • That betta fish looks really stressed out :/

  • Awesome looking betta!

  • don't mean to be a smartass here but white "chin" on a betta means stress or cold water. how's the betta doing?

  • bahhh

i wish my betta would utilize the tank as much as yours. Hes in a 10 gallon, alone with a heater and filter but he only swims around about 70% of the time. He rests on the suction cups attatched to the tank wall and just lounges, has his bursts of energy that last around 3 minutes then he goes back. sigh.

  • i wish my betta would be that active

  • ur tank looks awesome but do the zebra danios nip at the Betta's fins

  • wouldnt the betta fish kill the other's ?

  • It'll try but it cant

  • haha ur betta seems hyper

  • Could 3 black mollies live with a male betta in a 5 gallon flat back (half hex) tank? Or would a 10 gallon tank better.

  • a 10 gallon would be better and they can live with eachother

  • i have a 10 gallon tank with a betta, (and some african dwarf frogs) but i wish he had the beuatiful cloers like urs :'( lol

  • Beautifull Red betta , looks similar to mine!

Only if i had a tank as big as that to put my betta in, he would probabaly alot happier ahaha.

  • aw he looks so happy :)

  • What kind of Algae eater was the fish at 0:23 ?

  • looks like a loach

  • its a suck mouth catfish.

  • @sajeevan1 I don't think there is a different much, people says that when plecos gets older, their eating habit changes. I housed both and there is no differences except pleco has a bigger mouth and can eat more algae. Oto are favorable to smaller thanks.

  • @andmat757 Trust me it was not a loach. It was an otocinclus. A peaceful catfish that poses no threat to you unless you're a strand of algae

  • @andmat757 oto cat

  • my king betta lives in a 30 gal tank with tank mates and they all do just fine.

  • Good vid. But to the guys below, i did a lil bit of resarch and it aays betas should be able to get along with danios.

  • i hate idiots who got no brains! danios are fast moving fish that creates stress for a betta. By the way danios are known for their fin-nipping. why in the world would u put a betta with some danios?

  • you're a real piece of shit you know that? you obviously know nothing about bettas. keep your mouth shut if you have nothing smart to say.

  • @skimstr OUCH!

  • @skimstr dude please u dont have to curse at him but he just needs to learn what the meaning of compatibility is

  • @skimstr I do agree Dainos are known for there fin nipping :/ Thats why i only keep them with barbs or tetras. Just keep an eye out for any fin nipping and if they do, Move the betta or the dainos out fast before your beautiful bettas gets his fins nipped :( (Unless you already have because this video is old lol!)

  • @skimstr I agree with skimstr it's people like you who only read book and doesn't know much about them. Yes dainos moves fast but that doesn't mean it create enough water current to stress bettas. I think your ideal of betta is in on of those 1pint bettas. I would worry more about filter/air pumper current than dainos.

  • @skimstr LOLUMADD?

  • @skimstr Granted his initial comment wasn't nice but he's right that betta is stressed out the jumpy swimming alone can tell me that. So you shouldn't take your own advice and learn about all the fish in your tank before saying anything.

  • @skimstr um no hes right he could have said it nicer but those are all true facts and if its only a ten gallon all u should really have is the betta and maybe like a snail or small pleco

  • @TigerAlbino1800 please watch view i need some advice

  • @TigerAlbino1800 i have a betta with 5 giant danios but the tiger barbs are the problem the betta even schooles with the danios but all fish r diffrent but mine gets along with them

  • hey

one quick question, i have a male betta also and wanted to switch him to my 10 gallon tank does the 10 gallon need a heater?

  • You need a heater regardless of what you keep your betta in. He needs warm water to be healthy & happy.

  • you should remove the danios they are too fast swimmers and will distress your betta better to replace them with penguin tetras as they stay closer to the middle/lower part of your tank

  • Yes, zebra danios use the gill method. They use it pretty much like a shark, they always have to move to get oxygen through the water. Unless you want them in a cramped tank to get carbon dioxide poisoning, and look at them lying on there backs motionless.

  • you shoudl remove the zebra dainos lol...

  • why is that funny? fucking hate people that say lol in the stupidists moments

  • hmm i don't know why.... maybe cause your the stupid guy who puts danios with a fucking betta? fucking hate ppl who don't know how to raise a fish

  • . i have like 4 fish tanks in my room, and i had the for a year now. Dont tell me that i dont know how to raise fish, because clearly, I can. look at my channel.

  • lol the fact that you have danions with a betta proves you have no fish caring skills....

  • what the hell are you talking about. I DONT HAVE ANY DANIOS.

  • dainos... maybe if you use that lil brain sometimes you would know whats a typo

  • i didnt spell anything wrong you dipshit. im done talking to you, you mindless sack of shit

  • lol wow you really are stupide... i said use your brain a lil never said you did a typo... i typed danios(dainos)*typo!!!*......wow srsyl use your brain a lil......go back to school?

  • you need to learn how to shut up dude, quit making up all of these stupid little "challenges" to spot typos and crap. Fuck off. fuckk off fuck off fuck off. you have a small penis you stupid god damn canadian pussy. grow some balls because your boyfriend sucked them all off.

  • lol canadian? i live in canada but im not white, so next time you want to try to insult me try something thats at least a lil insulting?

and whats with all the swearing? calm down not my fault if you were born stupide!

  • let me guess, you're gonna say something stupid like, hhaha you didnt correct me on my spelling of the word stupid "stupide" and im in all high classes, stop saying things that you cant prove.

  • lol all high classes.....and how can you prove that?

But i can prove you are stupid....coming into a conversation that you know nothing about is being stupid so next time instead you going into others peoples business go find some friend to take to!

  • i am the same person wamjamjeff and jeffadamspetchannel are both mine, again you are saying things you cant prove

  • lol i can't prove it? so? your stupid!!!! end of story !!!!!can you prove im Canadian? no! so don't try coming up with this random sht about prove this and that!

  • how big should the minimum size be of the tank???

  • nice tank man the fish seem to love it nice betta fish too!

  • I did not cycle my tank before adding the beta but I added a pack of BioSpira the day before i put the fish in. You should always cycle your tank before adding fish...

  • how old is the betta?

  • he is about a year old now

  • you also shouldn't have to vacuum the gravel that aggressively, since there is a lot of beneficial bacteria underneath the substrate. gently stirring the top layer is all you need to do, plants will utilize the waste that goes beneath the surface of the substrate as food.

  • Cool, very nice little community, i have 2 tanks, each 5 gal, with 1 betta in them each, and one tank has 9 neons, and the other 2 albino corys. Nice tank, is it ok to keep danios in tropical water? Like they dont mind it. LOL I know you have probably heard this before, but a couple of live plants in there wouldn't go amiss, just a suggestion.

  • Thanks for the comments. Dainos can live in water up to 82 degrees as far as i know. My tank is temp is set to 80F. I had some plants in there before but everytime I would do a gravel vacuum I would knock them lose and have to replant them. got sick of doing that so i got rid of them.

  • Oh lol i can understand that, i have live plants in my tanks though, but i dont mind moving them when i clean the gravel. :)

  • is 80F good temp to Oto Cats?
