You aim and keep shooting at the right side of the screen before the scene changes, actually you dont have to guard these three red locks. Make sure you have reloaded before the scene changes.

nice play~i nvr get the kraken down so fast,the purple light always let me guard earlier b4 the attack.

When the screen shows "DANGER", count 4 shots then release the foot panel. It is the right timing to guard the purple laser.
