  • was the qb the coach that went crazy in that interview a few years ago lol

  • best footwork and precision to ever bless the game

  • Runnin through cowboys

  • That, in my opinion, is one of the best college play by play calls. It has the excitement to match the run itself.

  • BEAST

  • I always wonder what barry could have done in the nfl with some blockers, maby its what couldin't he do wich some blockers....

  • Well... if he made pro look as easy as he did. College had to be a fun time in his life.

  • Im trying to find out what song it is in the NFL Films video Barry Sanders gone. Its played at the end when Barry is running and stats are overlayed showing his acheivements in glowing letters. It slow music, kind of like a march, starts with trumpets, and at the end its just a snare drum for a short while. Its like a inspirational marching sound. Any one got any ideas?

  • it could be salute to courage by sam spence

  • awnsome

  • Why does Sanders have "Cowboys" on the back of his helmet?

  • oklahoma state cowboys

  • osu cowboys.

  • man this nigga is tha best mane hands down if he woulda stayed in the league then he would of been the nfl rushing leader of all time 4 sho but all well it is what it is i still think he is the best back of all tyme

  • @whistler059 hey dumbass.. try some common sense grammar.. this isnt the ghetto.

  • @itsmarkwtf n0, 7h15 15 7h3 internet.

  • Badass.

  • the greatest

  • Flawless!!!!

  • As a rookie he ran a 4:27

  • wow

  • he averaged 7.6 yards per carry in his junior year of college.

  • God, this guy was so damn good

  • thats why he went to OSU

  • HE'S SPECIAL!!!!!!!

  • i got his pro and college jerey

  • watching this rrun reminds me of classic Secretariat thorughbred victory by 26 lengths - Barry is Superior. The perfectly designed RB low center of gravity amazing balance and proprioception and not just flat out speed but afterburner acceleration - unbeleiveable still so glad i could see him play - thanks for posting this vid

  • barry sanders played for 10 seasons. He holds almost all of the running back records. Their listed at the nfl hof

  • You can argue that Barry is the best ever, but if he would have kept on playing, there would have been no doubt.

Either way, he's still one of the best ever. No one can deny that when you think of great running backs, he comes to mind.

  • yup...a couple more seasons and there may have been no doubt.

  • 230 yards avg rushing? wtf u kiddin me?

  • "Greatest college player I've ever seen."

Fa Sure! The NFL is a possible toss up with about 3 or 4 other guys at RB, but NCAA, no one comes close check the stat sheet. It's SICK!

  • does anyone know his 40 time?

  • 1.9 seconds.

  • funny, lmao

  • 4.3-I'm sure.

  • He ran a 4.37

  • not just the teams fault, wayne fontes and his brother lenny can take some blame too, thats 4 sure

  • 230 yards average rushing! WOW! Best EVER! Damn Lions were a bunch of idiots for not building a team around such greatness!

  • Greatest college player I've ever seen.

  • Barry Sanders would have broke every running back record if the Lousy Losing Lions front office gave a shit. Barry quit because at the time of his contract renewal, the front office said "just because you are the best, doesn't mean we will pay you the most"

  • barry was the best when he retired, he was tired of losing. can you imagine hime with an offense like dallas had w/ troy and irvin. think what he could have done with that offensive line and firepower.

  • Barry is the best RB any of you will ever see, bar NONE. He retired because the Lions wouldnt spend to make the team a SB contender.

  • Nope, Barry was one of the three best - Sanders, Walter Payton and Bo Jackson - but you can't tell me any of those guys were the best ever bar none.

  • Talk about a unanimous Heisman winner. Jeez.

  • My other comment was slightly wrong, ignore it, lol

  • barry sanders is one of the best.I wonder why he retired

  • he didnt wanna beat his heros record which he would of

  • He would have broken his hero's record, but that is not why he left.

  • That the reason why. Iam Glad you posted it man.

  • he was tired of being so good on the lions but always loosing

  • And there was no showboating on Barry's part. A real humble guy!

  • As an OSU alum; you got that right! Always have loved Barry's humble nature.

  • His speed was insane in college, add that to his natural talent, his strength and his humbleness and you got a legend.

  • the one man machine

  • 2nd greatest ever

  • best ever

  • i dunno walter payton al around a better player but we all know walter and no moves like barry nobody does

  • best offense ever, worst defense ever.

  • As soon as the QB would call hike! The o line would like fall over and then all these guys would come after him and try to tackle him, but he has the power to knock their asses on the ground. Good job Barry Sanders, you are indeed a legend.

  • Greatest ever.

  • one of the best backs in college and in the nfl and hes not cocky reggie i think u should take notes on this guy

  • I don't care what any sportscasters, historians, fans say: Barry Sanders hands down is the greatest running back to play the game PERIOD. He thrived on a one back four receiver set, run and shoot offense which is pretty much extinct in the NFL today with no fullbacks and usually no blocking tight end just the five linemen in front of him..Imagine if he trade places with Emmitt...Scary...The lions front office and GM should be shot to this day for holding back a Legend...

  • youtube is amazing, im looking at barry sanders in college, thanks doafhat, your the man

  • walter payton was a douche. not as bad as emmitt... but still a douche.

  • I think Barry's greatest attribute is that he's humble. More than any athlete today.

  • i like walter payton better

  • Barry sanders was the best in college

  • A man among boys.

  • Does Any 1 Pay attention to the quarterback. Mr Mike Gundy. Barry Sanders not the rest running back? THATS NOT TRUE!!!!

  • "I'm a MAN, I'm 40!"

  • what a fucking monster

  • Barry, by far the greatest running back of all time period!

  • As John Randall once said it...Barry runs like something out of a cartoon. Un...flippin...believable. The greatest part about these clips...his humility. That's the thing I miss most about him not playing anymore. And him playing a mammoth O-line in the NFL...scary prospect.

  • did see that guy (11 i believe) miss a block

  • barry sander can bench press 300+ lbs

  • More than that. I've heard he could bench 450+. He could also squat 600+.

  • People underestimate just how strong and powerful Sanders was. Go ask defenders how hard he it was to bring him down and how it felt like hitting his legs.

  • I also heard he can dunk the basketball. Pretty impressive given his height but, when you think about it, it's not that surprising. He has such an explosive lower body.

  • ALL TIME FAVORITE, hes my idol. i look up yo him. i jus wish he didnt retire so early y'know. i mean he jus did it rite out the blue wit no reason at all, well not that i know of

  • how tall was berry and how much did he weigh?

  • 5 ft. 8, 205 lbs.

  • out of all the great athletes ive watched through their prime (rice, jordan, bird, magic, lebron, kobe, wade, garnett, irvin, brady, manning, moss, taylor, tomlinson, bush, gretzky, lemieux, ortiz, shaq, dream, dr j, duncan, drexler, 'nique, emmitt smith, and many many many more) i am still most in awe and amazed by barry sanders. and truthfully its still not even close, all the others are amazing, but just dont even to compare to how amazing barry really really was.

  • thats pretty tough to argue. Barry and Bo are my favorites, i wish Bo could have played longer

  • hes nasty

  • Barry was the most talented back ever. His yards per carry is the biggest stat that jumps out. Only Jim Brown had as good of a ypc. And he did this on a crappy team. WOW.

  • I uploaded an NFL films video on Sanders, check it out.

  • woo!

  • u can debate on who was the greatest running back of all time. barry was a special back..someone tht everyone wanted to watch. he could score at any time anywhere on the field. he was simply electrifying. if he played couple more seasons no doubt he would be the all time leading rusher. since he had no history of major injuries because of the fact his elusiveness avoided many hits he would have played most of those games.

  • barry could still come back today, but wouldnt be as good

  • u can debate on who was the greatest running back of all time but barry sanders was one of a kind as far as his style and the ability to score a TD at any time. if he played couple more seasons..no doubt he would be the all time leading rusher. and plus he had no history of any major injuries which means he would have played most of those games.

  • barry was injured in 1993 with a leg injury or somthing like that and missed 5 games.

but still had 1115 yards on 243 carries.

    but only 3 tds.

so thats his only bad year

  • The injury affected his running style. But he came back the next season to rush for 1800 plus (should have been 2000).

  • he looks more like walter payton on that play

  • The Barry vs. Emmitt debate can be solved like this and only this.

How would the careers of each running back have turned out stat wise/ring wise if Barry played for Dallas and Emmitt played for Detroit.

    Personally

anyone who suggests the Lions would have won the superbowl is smoking dope... Barry would rushed for 2500 yards in a single season behind the 92'-93' Dallas O-line.

  • Absolutely right. Barry would have had multiple 2,000 yard seasons with Dallas. A 2,500 yard season was certainly possible. The Cowboys still win 3 Superbowls maybe a 4th and there would be no debate as to who was the greatest football player ever. Remember the first time the Lions gave him a blocking fullback he exploded for 2,053 yards and a 6.3 avg.

  • Emmitt with Detroit would still have had a fine career, but the Lions would certainly not have gone to the playoffs as many times as they did under Barry. Sanders would have had twice as many rushing yards as Emmitt finished with if they switched teams. Even with the Lions, Barry still averaged more yards per carry, per game and per season.

  • theyoutube says that the nfl deleted my video

  • He's pretty good.

  • Imagine what Barry would have done with them great dallas teams of emmitt's. 3000yds?YES. 30+ td? Yes. 20000+ career rushing yards? YES. He averaged 6.3 yds per carry until you factor in the 1500 yds negative. Unheard of. I like all of the good and great backs. None of them "suck". But barry was a breed apart.

  • haa emmitt is great but not good enough to b in the same room as barry, barry is the greatest runningback ever even walter payton sed he was better barry was averaging over 1500 yards ever season and still had about 5 left tell me hes not the greatest

  • yeah great college back lists....but tell me where the only two time heisman trophy winner ranks with any of you???????????all archie enough said....dayne..ricky williams...bush????....please

  • My top 5 college RB's:

    1. Barry Sanders

    2. Herschel Walker

    3. OJ Simpson

    4. Bo Jackson

    5. Earl Campbell

  • In his Junior Season:

-Sanders rushed for 2,628 yards, an NCAA record.

-He had 3,249 total yards, an NCAA record.

-Sanders scored 39 TDs (37 rushing, 1 kick return, 1 punt return), an NCAA record.

-He averaged 7.6 yards per carry.

-He rushed for 300+ yards in four games.

This was all during an 11-game regular season and him many times sitting out for whole 4th quarters! Unreal.

  • Damn lol

  • yah, you hear all this talk about how guys like Darren McFadden are so good. His ypc avg is 2 yards less than barry's was and barry played tuffer teams!

  • according to the nfl network top 3 is

    1 Barry Sanders

    2 Gale Sayers

    3 Marshall Faulk

  • how about real good running backs who played great in college.

    1. walter payton

    2. ladanian tomlinson

    3. ricky williams

    4. ron dayne

    5. reggie bush

  • Barry had better numbers in college than all of them... lol and better number in the NFL than all except walter... although he averaged almost 2 yared more a carry than Walter.

  • haha to correct you walter had more than him and so did emmit , but dont get me wrong barry sanders is my fav. player i wish he would have the record

  • Barry retired when he was 31.... How old was Emmit when he retired 37.... LMFAO. If sanders kept playing as long as emmit did all rushing records would be on lock under Barry Sanders.

  • IF he kept playing....People can not deffend barry sanders based off what COULD have been because that is non existant. Emmitt was able to keep playing and break the record while barry watched from his sofa in his beach house

  • Barry was able to keep playing. Emmitt, on the other hand, overstayed his welcome in the NFL.

  • 5 best college backs

    1 barry sanders

    2 OJ simpson

    3 reggie bush

    4 hershel walker

5 darren mcfadden (if he keeps it up)

  • heres how it goes

    1 barry sanders

    2 bo jackson(bo knows,bo knows)

    3 archie griffin

    4 walter payton

    5 OJ simpson

  • amazing...Walter Payton..Barry Sanders..Bo Jackson..Jim Brown..Franco Harris

  • REggie Bush you are already putting him in the best of all time. He hasnt ever been the lone star runing back on his team yet. We will see what he does when he has to carry the full load.

  • barry got so good at dodging peaple by playing pick up games when he was a kid with 20 kids on each team

  • 1)Walter Payton

    2)Barry Sanders

    3)Jim Brown

    4)Marcus Allen

  • 1) Walter Payton

    2) Barry Sanders

    3) Jim Brown

    4) Earl Campbell

    5) Gale Sayers

  • Good list.

  • Wlater Payton, Barry Sanders, and Jim Brown best running backs ever, along with LT and hopefully Reggie Bush and others too lol.

  • yes...when Bary was on the Detroit Lions he was number 20...in college he was # 21

  • i thought barry sanders was #20?

  • he hes so amazing, i dont even see how you could compare him with reggie.

i also have an authentic barry sanders jersey and its way nice

  • seems like all the great running backs have the number 21 maybe its some goodluck number or somthing

  • PS: LT the Greatest RUNNING BACK OF ALL TIME!!!!

  • Most EXCITING Running Back of All Time! B.Sanders!

Greatest Football Player of ALL TIME! Walter Payton!

  • Thankz for uploading it..

  • There might be somebody better than him someday, but there will never be another Barry Sanders.

  • You just cant run like that, try it without breaking your ankles.

  • No way Reggie will be as strong as Barry Sanders. Have you ever seen Barry's legs? Reggie will not be as durable, and won't have the leg power to be an every down back like Barry. Nobody will EVER be Barry.

  • co sign, there will only be 1 Barry.

  • How do you know nobody will be better than him?

  • Alot of people compare Barry and Reggie togeather. I think Reggie is the next Sanders..Barry is no doubt the best to ever to play the game but Reggie will be making his mark in the next few years..I really do think the main reason Reggie played the way he did in college was because of how good the Trojans were at the time and how sucky their schedule was..nobody on a sucky team could have cought him (4.33)

  • he didnt even play in the 4th quarter

  • I wish I could run like that

  • best ever

  • Green Bay Packers draft OL Tony Mandrich instead of Barry Sanders, who goes to the Lions with the next pick. Wish we would have been able to see Brett Favre and Barry Sanders in the same backfield...

  • if it wasnt for the fact that he was playing for the lions, he should have a super bowl ring and the leading rushing record

  • I was a senior in high school for this season. We all knew THEN that he was the best ever. Let's face it, still is!!! Noone has really come close so far.

  • unfuckingbelieveable

  • Thank you fro uploading this man

  • Amazing!

  • no doubt the greatest of all time
