Ring around the rosie refers to the rings the plague put on your rosy skin, pocket full of posy=they used to think good smellums would ward off the evil of the plague, ashes ashes we all fall down=we die and we're cremated. Every single one of them that I have investigated are gruesome. I'd be more worried about Americans than French people.
