  • WTF IS WRONG WITH THAT BOY PUCKING ALL THE FEATHERS FROM THAT POOR BIRD???!!!

  • Poor Bird! :(

  • *puts refrain in google translate*

    Lark, lovely lark,

    Lark, I pluck you.

    Lark, lovely lark,

    Lark, I pluck you.

    I pluck you the head.

    I pluck you the head.

And the head! And the head!

  • @DamianCarvaLho that's so cool. so did my mom haha wow how convenient . but now its kinda weird cuz do u know the meaning of this song, it creps me out but 4 sum rsn i listen 2 it on my ipod wen im sleeping

  • @BieberMagnet The meaning doesn't creep me out. You have to pluck a lark in all those places before you can even think about cooking it. It's pretty much just busy music to hum to while plucking I would think.

  • @DamianCarvaLho lol ur rt i gess its just how i herd it. i got the meaning from ghost whisperer and that episode ws rly creeeeepy haha

  • i love the random cow at 0:29

  • the french are even teaching thier kids this eww

  • Poor bird, the kid is going to eat it. :(

  • Vai sobrar nada da porcaria da pomba desse jeito...kkkkkkkk

  • my french teacher showed us this song. we were creeped out at the fact that the boy is so happy to make the bird naked. SO MEAN!

  • @broskette143 he's preparing it to be cooked, you can't cook a bird that still has it's feathers.

  • 8=====D

  • why is this child brutally murdering a bird while a cow runs faster than Michael Phelps swims?

  • Its really funny to learn what this song is about, especially when my mom's name is alouette XD

  • pluck ur head then pluck ur beck

  • i love this, when i sing this i want to turd my diaper

  • My mother used to sing this to me all the time.. Ahh memories.

  • 2 minutes and 24 seconds ago, I thought Alouette was about dancing. I stand both corrected and horrified.

  • @darwinmacwiz And that's all the more to learn French. ;) Apprendre français, c'est simple comme «bonjour»! :)

Lol.

  • The awkward moment when the song is really saying that the kid is plucking EVERYTHING from that birds body.

  • Animal Cruelty.

  • this is a violent song, really... they are talking about catching a bird, plucking its feathers, head and such. though they have some happy kid and sunshine and all XD

  • This is such a violent song... XD

  • Guys what the hell.

The song is French-Canadian of origin. Alouette means lark. Back in old days the children would deplume the larks to prepare for dinner. It was an extremely tedious task so they sang a song. The song's about them depluming the different parts of the lark; the head, the beak, the eyes, the neck, the wings, the torso, and the back.

  • @RadicalSoundWaves Strike that; not the torso, the tail.

  • we sang this song in our last years french assembly

now we are trying to find a song as good as this, but I am not getting any

    any suggestions, any 1?

  • @MrCodini123 Almost right; you've got to remember that to say age you use "J'ai (age) ans"

So it'd be "J'ai onze ans"

  • Lol i am in french class and we learned this but its stuck in my head

  • I like the dinosaur thingie one better...

  • Well, canadian song. What did you expect

  • Pauvre alouette...

  • Go to hell

  • @shupettes n'importe quoi vraiment !!!!

Inoffensif. Je peux imaginer

  • He's testing the new feather regrowth shot

  • 2:10 run sheep run.

  • Am I the only one who thought this way a sweet children's song? O.o

  • he's playing he love's me he love's me not :))

  • Does anyone notice no matter how many feathers the kid pulls out the bird never seems to lose any of them?

  • I'm pretty sure the "Aaaaaaaahhhhh" part is the bird screaming in pain.

  • Anyone notice the sun flashing the whole time? WE-IRD!

  • He looks so happy as he's plucking a bird =(

  • ANIMAL ABUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mon DIEU !!!!! QUELLE CHANSON HORRIBLE !!!

  • @LaMouleQuiCoule bien dit, well said!

  • N

    I

    C

    E

  • wow

  • c violent!!!! XD et il lfais tout en souriant... XD

  • and this is a childrens song? wtf? So violent!

  • @Anthz1997 In actuality, our nursery rhymes are much worse than this. Take for instance Ring Around the Rosie. It's about the plague. Ring around the rosie refers to the rings the plague put on your rosy skin, pocket full of posy=they used to think good smellums would ward off the evil of the plague, ashes ashes we all fall down=we die and we're cremated. Every single one of them that I have investigated are gruesome. I'd be more worried about Americans than French people.

  • this song is about plucking a bird

Because thats a great song to teach a kid

  • Moral: If you're gentile, a kid is going to take all of your feathers away :(

  • Shoud be better to kill the bird for the first . That cut off the pain.

  • Wow i saw this in French class it is so catchy

  • the fact that the boy in the video is smiling while plucking the bird is disturbing....lol, but i <3 this song

  • Tadim, porque sera que ele fica tirando as peninhas do passarinho?

  • @missmendez2010 Francês é assim mesmo : fica feliz fazendo besteira !

  • what is he doing to that poor bird?

  • @miceskin Plucking it to death. that's what the songs about.

  • @miceskin plucking its feathers :O

  • I like how the bird is just sitting there taking it, when in real life it would probably be excruciating to have that many feathers plucked at the same time.

  • Just like American children songs?

And then people wonder why their children are so violent...

  • this wasn't as gory as i thought it would be...

  • Alouette, gentille alouette.

  • Where the heck is this Kid's parents???

  • @cartergirl3of3 do u know the true meaning to this song? they used to tar and feather people and pluck a feather for touture, this is what this song means, i just realized it and im in my 7th year at a full french school

  • @TheBloodyAvenger i am also in 7th grade :)

  • @cartergirl3of3 Driving off in the little red car in the beginning because they realized their punk-rocking mohawk kid was a mass-bird-murdering weirdo and were afraid they were next.

  • @cartergirl3of3 hahahahahahahahaahahhaaa :D I actually never knew its meaning until just this moment :D!! I used to love it as a kid (Just the song)

  • @Kool92cv yeah I used to love it too, This and "Ring around the Rosie" THAT turned out well (NO) TURNS out a lot of beloved children songs and movies are completely demented lol

  • alouette tu estás LOCO

  • lol didnt know all thru my childhood this song was about torture and animal cruelty.

  • @ibhotsauce

I know the feeling. My mother used to sing this to me to put me to sleep! And it's not like she can claim ignorance...she took several years of French. Unlike me. So I've spent 21 years thinking it was a lovely, gentle children's song. XD

  • saw this in french :D everyone was enjoying it

  • uMad, alouette?

  • and people say gangsta rap is violent.

  • @caderoger je te plumerai la tete means exactly that:P

  • A great way to introduce children to the notion that chickens, hens, ducks, larks, and other fowl need to be plucked, cleaned, etc. before they are eaten.

  • I'm obsessed with this song. Omg.

  • Oh my gosh it's a kids song. Get over yourselves and enjoy being a kid again for once.

  • i remembered listening to this song when i was young gosh i miss the good times!!

  • Why do they teach little French children this song?! It sort of reminds of Ring around the Rosy in of that they're both kind of morbid yet children sing them anyway. At least in English we didn't know the meaning of it until we were older. This song scares me for the fact that it's so blunt!

  • here is the english translation

little melelarck im going to pluck you little melelarck im going to luck

then tete means head cou means neck bec means beac

  • wow i have learned some french from this song :))

  • It's sick.

  • This cute little children's song is sooo messed up!

  • I'm slack-jawed with stupefaction, at the imagery here.

  • scary

  • The poor bird has this look of absolute misery when you zoom up on it. xDD Poor guy.

  • the bird is terrified and the boy is just happy as hell

  • Thats cause the song all abt plucking a skylark apart. Sick song.

  • Ah, now people learn what the song translates to. I love it. I want to teach this to my kids. Call me morbid, but it's a good way for children to learn the body parts of a bird in French.

  • my face throughout the entire video:

    o_o

  • Who wants chicken after watching this? lol

  • Anyone else disturbed by the fact that the boy is simply ecstatic at plucking that bird?
