  • Everything is consumer driven. U wanted factory farms u got em. Now u don't want that either. Then u go and feed all the turkeys in the country pies and luscious dishes and pay for it and see where it gets u. Cute video about turkeys but unrealistic and do they do this every day????? According to your ideals they should

  • I'm not a vegetarian but for the turkeys, I'll give up eating them on Thanksgiving :)

  • I need to get my butt up there so I can experience these wonderful creatures in person. Now that's a Thanksgiving I'd love to be a part of.

  • @batcountryrabid

I object to your comment about turkey being "dried out". if cooked right, it can be really awesome :)

  • looks like i need to get some friends together and go liberate some turkeys 8}

  • LOVE IT :D. im gonna have a birthday party for my rooster, Rambo when he turns a year old. (He was rescued at a week old)

  • Awesome! Compassion in action. "you can judge the moral progress of a country by the way it treats it's animals. " - Gandhi

  • @jjhunter916 what would you expect a cow worshiper to say?

  • Those are good, compassionate turkeys. They behave very well.

  • what ever happened to feeding the homeless? give that food to a human

  • @samnaps1 To quote Martin Luther King "An injustice everywhere, is a threat to justice everywhere". This food used here to feed turkeys is not being taken away from those who are without homes or food. And we as a country spend more money and food resources on feeding our cows, chickens, turkeys, pigs, etc grain that they wouldn't naturally eat anyway to fatten them up for human consumption, that if we stopped making animals for human consumption we could feed all those humans in need.

  • very true!! ..but that doesnt apply here. its too vague

  • Vegeterianism rules !!!!

  • i have just rescued some turkeys from they awaited murder, thankyou for people like you guys to show the world that they are a few of us that do care

  • Im glad we dont have thanksgiving here because of the turkey issue... but Christmas time involves a lot of slaughter of chickens and pigs, its a shame

  • This is going to be my first Turkey free Christmas......

  • Oh I forgot to add this in my last comment. Watch Man getting his eyebrows waxed. It should be the second video down posted by NitroChimchar.

  • Farm Sanctuaries, you guys are awsome for doing this. After seeing this, I am definatly going to get the word around about what's happening to the turkeys. It's just not fair.

  • I sponsored a turkey this year!

  • This is so sweet, farm sanctuaries made me want to become a guardian for these animals as well, so I hope to soon do so! Happy veg ThanksGIVING!

  • HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Thanks for being compassionate to all animals. <3

  • awwww, so sweet :) the turkeys looked so happy tucking into thier thanksgiving meal. i will be forwarding this message to my friends so that maybe they can spare a turkeys life too!

  • Yay! Don't eat the turkeys! :D

  • LOVE THIS!!!

  • This make me proud to be veg!

This thanksgiving we are having home-made stuffing, mashed potatoes, home made gravy, salad, whole grain buns and veggie patties :) Its going to be delish AND it doesn't take all day to cook AND its cruelty free! :)

  • The turkeys look so happy! I'm glad I went vegetarian. I like my mock turkey FAR better! <3

  • Who could dislike this?

This is the REAL spirit of Thanksgiving

I, for one, will enjoy my Tofurkey

  • @Sarahrosebello

    Cowards. All cowards.

Anyways, I will eat plain old tofu probably. : D I had vegan 'fish' today, IT WAS SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

  • @SerenityShootingStar

I love tofu sauteed with garlic and olive oil :D

I actually ended up getting a Field Roast hazelnut cranberry roast en croute. It looks amazing!

  • Aww @ 1:53 what a little baby!. x. I'm English but if I had the luxury of owning Turkeys I would make thanksgiving ''Christmas Day for Turkeys & Chickens'' and I would let them have whatever they like, all day,

  • This is so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. God bless all of you.

  • YUMMMM

  • 0:43 was the best part, When the Turkey took it out of the little boys hand..This how thanksgiving should be celebrated. Being Thankful for All Life, Not just your own.

  • So nice!!!! Thank you

  • Turkey factories are sad and disgusting. So are chicken factories and beef slaughter factories.

If you have it, please spend the extra money for ORGANIC poultry and beef. At least the animals have a decent life before slaughtering.

  • While it IS disgusting, it's actually a sad truth that organic isn't much better. Neither is free range. Organic and free-range have nothing to do with the treatment of the animals. Free-range just means they have to have SOME way outside, which means someone could simply cut a hole in the side of the barn/(factory)farm and put a fence around a few-yard section of land that the animals can get to. Done. Free-range label achieved. It's horrible, but the best thing to do is avoid meat altogether.

  • Kerrville, I don't think it's about the quality of life of the animals that makes it wrong in my mind, but the harvesting of sentient beings for consumption and profit. That's a terrible way to treat life, though of course less suffering is better. I disagree that organic animals treated like products are living "decent" lives.

  • this is wonderful everyone should see this!!!

  • This is the greatest video ever, I've watched it like a million times. Better than prozac!

  • At about 0:30 - 0:35 is that a chicken pretending to be a turkey?

  • Haha, I was wondering that too! He probably wanted to get in on the action!

  • this was wonderful to watch! We have two slate blue turkeys and they will never be cooked. They are part of the farm, along with goats, chickens a turtle and a dog. Thanks for sharing what you do.

  • aww... How sweet! I don't get how anyone would want to eat turkey or any other meat after seeing this. I'm gonna have a nice tofurky meal instead, like I did last year. :) GO VEGETARIANISM!

  • Honestly, there is better food made of plants for people than something made to seem like meat. I feel like if less vegetarians relied so much on poor food substitutes, more people would see the benefits of vegetarianism. Though I am glad you aren't eating meat, I don't think Tofurky is a good choice. I've tried it and couldn't digest it.

  • @saintsalive1234 I just eat the 'side dishes'. maple roasted brussels sprouts, candied yams, garlic mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce--those are delicious enough, if not more, than dry, cruelly farmed dead animal.

  • @batcountryrabid Not all meat is factory farmed nor dry. I don't believe in factory farms but I also don't think people should push for total vegan as that causes more back lash. Basically you can't change a person's diet but you can change their source, give the animal a good life before butchering is a lot better then the current factory farmed animals.

  • @wanttoseemysnake Us animal activists are not pushing for what's better for the animals, we're pushing for what's best! Although we are against factory farms, they aren't the main issue. The issue is animal rights! Think of it this way: if you wouldn't eat your dog, who is smart, loyal and loving, why would you eat a pig who is just as loyal and even smarter? No one wants to die, we all dream that same dream of life...so why not let everyone live it? Im going for animal rights.

  • @ThePittieluver I would eat my dog if we eat dogs. I eat rabbits I raise for meat. The difference between a pet rabbit and a meat rabbit is a name, we don't name our food. Humans were designed to eat meat, try telling me that we aren't and I'll tell you about my grain/flax seed allergies. Vegans go over the top sometimes...

  • @wanttoseemysnake Actually a lot of research has pointed to humans being herbivores. Think about it, if we evolved from monkeys...and monkeys are herbivores...then how are we omnivores? We also have a long digestive system, which all herbivores have, and carni/omnivores do not. And if we are omnivores we should be able to catch and kill our food with no tools or help. And you don't have to eat grain/flax seed. It has nothing to do with veganism. I'm just sharing what I know...

  • @ThePittieluver Monkeys are omnivores, they will eat meat though we are humans and not monkeys. We can kill and eat what we catch raw and w/o tools but why would we want to?

  • @wanttoseemysnake We supposedly evolved from apes, which are herbivores. You can tell if a food is natural for your species if you can gather it yourself only using your body. I highly doubt you would be able to run down a rabbit and kill it; and could you catch a cow using no traps, then jump on its back and bite through its muscle, bone and flesh? I highly, highly doubt it. Meat and dairy have also been known to cause tons of diseases for our species, like heart disease.

  • Holy hell that was SO CUTE! I'm going to adopt a turkey for Thanksgiving this year.

  • Aww, that is so sweet.

  • How Lovely :)

  • thank you for yours?

  • Um, we're not avoiding eating turkeys because we don't like how they taste. Thanks for the testimonial, though.

  • so sweet! I am having vegan lasagne for Thanksgiving in honor of the turkeys! Thanks for all you do for animals!!

  • Ahh, that just makes you think doesn't it?

So thankful and hungry, like anyone.

What a dream for the sweethearts.

  • I loved the little tyke falling asleep at the end - full belly and being stroked by kind and gentle hands. Life doesn't get much better than that.

I wish that were the case for all the wonderful creatures out there.

  • Such a heartwarming video :) Farm Sanctuary is the best!

  • Excellent video with one exception! Why don't you encourage people to have VEGAN meals? The cows don't want to be property either.

  • They do promote vegan meals.

  • All they do is vegan meals.

  • @TheRealEda Farmsanctuary promotes a 100% vegan diet but they just use the term "vegetarian" because its less confusing for people that aren't as educated about animal rights as we are. And I totally agree I LOVE farmsanctuary :)

  • you guys do such an amazing job...keep up the good work

  • you do an amazing job guys, keep it up!

  • LOL, sneaky chickens trying to blend in with the turkeys for free food. Is that why the chickens hang around the turkey barn all year long? :)

This looks so much fun; I wish my family could get up there this year. Everyone reading this who's going; give Whisper the most pumpkin pie!!!

  • lol I know, so cute! "Hey, we want some pie too!" I'm gonna go soon too. I can't wait to see the precious little animals there!

  • I went... I loved it! The Turkeys are so cute...

  • Awesome! Thank you for rescuing these beautiful creatures! The one being petted at the very end is so precious and looks so happy. All beings want to be loved. :)
