I like how over in Europe these cars are cheaper, and have less 'luxury' features. And over here, they;re 2x as much, and are rarely seen with cloth, hubcaps.

i bought 200 kompressor, but can not regulate the rear suspension - i do not know how to do it - i was told that it is under the rear trunk - can anyone give me any tip, what to do?

the w123 and the w124 were the most ´´overengineered´´ e-klasses ever made! the w210 was when Mercedes started to save money on the makings of their cars.. and in comparison to ´ordernary´ cars the w210 was still superior! we had a -00 270cdi and with 377000kms the transmission and engine was still smoother than the -06 Subaru 85000kms we traded it for.. still when you passed the 300000km barrier the expensive repairs came. but we also owned a -94 E320 w124, never had problems with it! Best cars

Bought one of these, 320 CDI post-facelift. Its 11 years old now, its done 300TK of which I did 80TK. Dude, this car doesnt squek, starts every time, and feels and drives better than a whole range of new cars you can get now. Try buying a comfy car for 7000 Euros - good luck... Merc 4 Ever, always!

I have 169 A class 170 CDI and its a perfect car :D I payed 6 thousand euros and its from 2001. Probably you are asking why A class? Well even tho E class is much confy but its expensive to drive for me. Repairing are very expensive and A class suits me with my salary.

I've always loved station wagons, and Mercedes-Benz have made some of the best out there. I also like the 4-Matic all wheel drive offered on Mercedes-Benz cars. For some reason, however, 4-Matic and Diesel don't seem to be offered at the same time. You can get one with a 4-Matic, but you can't get a 4-Matic with a diesel engine. That's too bad, since the diesel gets better fuel economy.

naah the W210's are junk, the early ones are not that safe, the electronics are a disaster and the overall quality is way down from the previous standards.

There where some electrical problems, i give u that, but an w210 with a 200CDI is way ahead of any w124 diesel.

in both cars the seats are rubbish

The diesel engines particularly the common rail CDI ones may sound quieter and go faster, but they have many times more complicated equipment on them. They are harder to do work on your self. Even the W124 diesels are a pain in the ass, thank God you don't have th adjust the valves on the 606, it takes a while to get the intake cross pipe off, then the plastic valve cover-cover then the valve cover. Then there would be 24 valves to adjust. The more technology "advances" the worse it gets.

i agree, but the best mercedes is (IMO) not the one that is the most easiest to give a service. The w210 is more comferteble and smoother then the w124. And just as an w124 very relaiable.

In your favor: I onw a w123 and an w115, i love the simple engine and the fact that i can do every thing my self with an jack an some spanners
