I know the common answer is " but it brings in the tourists" cancer patients, hospitals, the homeless, the indigenous etc. If it were truly a race of humanity.. there would be no fireworks. Just a few coldis with friends and family. Great for the kids. But unban fireworks and have a few to wow the kids. They dont really care as long as theres a packet of sparklers in their hands....

I checked out London's fireworks and yes they look great, however, they only confined there fireworks to their clock, if Sydney only focused on our Sydney Harbor Bridge, London would be OWNED by a long shot. SYDNEY was heaps better.
