I don't remember what I was talking about here, but I'm sure it was something snarky and sarcastic. The blues, you know are named from blue notes, and the blues we here today originated around the Mississippi Delta and what not. There was ragtime and all sorts of stuff before it. Pretty American stuff. But if you wanna get fancy, in a broader sense, it came out of Africa, just like Voodoo and Hoodoo and all sorts of themes from the Blues. Banjos are an African instrument also, speaking of.
