@pittresident People like you are such a disappointment. Your insecuruty is painful to witness. This man is a legend, he is a true gentleman. He has given his whole life to studying, and popularising astronomy, and all you care about is his hair...
You're one of those judemental wasters who care only about how white peoples teeth are, and how much hair gel someone uses. Shallow mindedness at its finest. I suggest you try to fix these negative traits in your personality.
He said in this weeks episode, that he thought he might be one of the few people alive who met not only the wright brothers, but yuri gagarin and neil armstrong as well.
@blastarrbollaxIII A damned shame they stopped updating the website and instead just put the episodes on shitty BBCi for a week after, the sky at night was a great record to look back on.
Still thank god for digital recording, least I can personally keep the record up to date.
ohh and the SAN site is a good record of how digital video has progress over the years too lol.....soo blocky back then :P
@blastarrbollaxIII I am a socialist and have never liked Patrick Moore's politics. That is one thing. In all his time, the Sky at Night has been straightforward popular astronomy, with never a whiff of Moore's politics. That says something about him - something nice.
I wish there were more clips of Patrick Moore; when I was living in the UK in the 60's and 70's I used to watch his weekly programme' the Sky at night' as often as possible. He's got a real gift for explaining things simply and his enthusiasm for his subject is infectious. He brought astronomy into millions of homes and made it interesting.
Brilliant. 'WILL YOU PLEASE, CLOSE ONE EYE?!'

Hurrah for Sir Patrick. And also to my fellow Cornishmen Anthony Hewish. Who is to date the only Cornishmen to win a Noble prize in the Sciences.

The BBC got a bit mardy with Patrick and his UKIP leanings.
Being the liebour brainwashed automatons that they are, the Sky at Night website has not been updated for nearly 2 years.
I've noticed in a lot of petty ways they have started to get a bit nasty with him, this is after well over 50 years of service to the beeb.
It's the higher ups that are doing it, who with a change of govt may well get blown away.
