I totally agree. The flexibility of language should be respected. No Oxford snob has the right to tell me or anybody which words are and aren't 'real words'. Still, I think the issue is a little different when you're talking about names. I guess the correct pronunciation is the one the person themselves chooses to adopt.

Well noticed. The 'Kintobor' bit of the name is deliberately Robotnik backwards. It comes from the Sonic the Hedgehog comics I used to read. In one of them it explains that Sonic and Robotnik used to be friends until an experiment went wrong, reversing Dr Kintobor's personality... and his name.
