KATHERINE I WOULD LIKE TO BE APART OF YOUR MISSION. I HAVE BEEN SPREADING THE WORD FOR YEARS ABOUT THE RFID CHIP AND JUST LIKE YOU HAVE THE SAME MISSION STOP THIS BEFORE HUMANS LOOSE THEIR SOUL AND GET IMPLANTED WITH THE CHIP. PLEASE EMAIL ME WHERE MY FAMILY AND I CAN PROTEST WITH YOU. I HAVE FOLLOWERS AND WOULD LOVE TO JOIN IN THIS MISSION. PLEASE EMAIL ME AT PETEMAN000@YAHOO.COM AND LEAVE ME DETAIL INFORMATION THANKS.
Please watch my story "TIFFANY LEBOUEF SEEKS JUSTICE" They hid my only evidence and lied about it then they made me "TAKE THE DEAL" or go to Prison for 9 + yrs. This is crazy stuff. They have given me 2 strikes and one more brush with the law of any kind will send me to "PRISON FOR LIFE"..... HELP MEEEEEEEE!
I have documents to PROVE my innocence but no one will even look at it. What is going on with this country???
Who wants to be tracked period? You'd have to be daft to want these tracking chips on everything you own. There are factories that are producing these by the billions!
Just so every1 knows, i am scared shitless, this RFID is the apocolypse, the antichrist is comming, unless if we can stop this, pray that OBAMA can stop this.
Half-truths + paranoia-induced hype. Albrecht seems pretty proud of herself; unfortunately she doesn't seem to fully understand the nature of the technology. RFID tags for retail use include 96 bits of data. That's only enough data to store UPC information about the product you purchased. It doesn't include your personal information -- just the information about the product. If that bothers you, be sure to also freak out when you see a bar code on the next pair of jeans you buy.
Are you kidding me with that bullcrap? You are one of two things: ignorant (which i hope to be the case), or already owned by the corporations and/or are a disinformant for them (which you probably are - but would never admit it anyways). Either way - what you're doing is messed up and you dont have intelligence or integrity.
Bar codes can be removed with a tag. An embedded RFID chip cannot easily be removed without damaging the item. Also a barcode is only unique to the type of item, while the RFID # is unique to the item itself. Finally barcodes cant be read from a distance, RFID can.
Think the # cant be traced to you. Look at the proliferation of "shopper cards" which coerce people with 2-tiered pricing. They record your every purchase.
Tags need not be embedded, you know. Furthermore, they can also be easily deactivated at time of purchase.
The number of course can be traced to you, read my comment below. But that requires a LOT of work -- and a conspiracy among POS system manufacturers, credit card companies, and retailers. Those are the people you should be protesting. Manufacturers don't control that.
A few of your issues are valid, but you have to be wary of becoming conspiracy theorists. Don't be scared of technology.
The only way a "link" can be made is if credit card companies record a product ID and link it to credit card records. But this has nothing to do with the "RFID in Fashion" conference.
The real problem with RFID is remote reading of the chip without your knowledge, reading loops can be fitted to doorways and into the sidewalks so you could be tracked in real time, I know this sounds crazy and it is unlikely to ever happen but better to know about it now rather than later.
I can understand RFID being used in security tags to stop shop lifting but I can't understand what use an RFID chip permanently woven into clothing would be legitimately used for once you had left the store
Good showing of protest and some media coverage to boot ! If more people do these kinds of things more often, then we will see more protests - hopefully theses protests will lead to more activism and reduction of the big fat nefarious government , who fooled us into beleeiving that we walked on the moon !
I have no problem letting the manufacturers know your position that you will not be purchasing their products if they implement this, but I can see as why a business would absolutely want to do this. The real problem is the government involvement with databases.
It's a bit like serial numbers on guns. I have no problem with that for loss prevention or theft recovery purposes. It's only a problem that government keeps the database. So I agree with some of the business guys on this one.
It's amazing that you guys have to actually explain this to people. I feel this way when I try to explain how rediculous it is just to be forced to show a card for a lower price. (Reward cards) "Freedom is not showing a card when buying bread"
