  • I am SO glad i found this.... it was on a cd that an ex of mine had but had lost the track listing.....so i didnt know who the artist was. LOve it :-)

  • One of my fave 90's

  • love!!!!

  • Rod and the Faces i love u!

  • its so werid, watching videos of them so young in thier 20s and acatully seeing them live in thier 50s theyre amazing <3

  • Everyone's got their opinions about the bands from this time period, but if you don't think this is a well written song, you're lying.

  • NOOOOOOOO i dont

  • My song to my x menge any way romanys rule!!!

  • Old favorite. // emsjo.com

  • Love the Quireboys :-)

  • Love and hate because Its the real life!

  • Anyone who caught The Quireboys live 89-93 will have often seen the Red Dogs playing with them. Footage has recently been rediscovered and is now on youtube. Do a search for "Red Dogs Working Late" to bring up the video for the single or "Red Dogs Super Channel" for two live tracks and small interview. Hope it brings back memories for some of you.

  • Saw these on the 'Bit of what you fancy' tour back in the day. Full house in London, couldn't of fitted another person in there. Awesome. Saw them recently play a bar called Junction 7 in Notts to about 30 disinterested people.... They were still awesome. Still cared. Still did their very best... Great, professional band. I hope they never stop playing.

  • Seeing them tomorrow night, Yardbirds Grimsby.

  • /watch?v=1DZcix5J5LY with lyrics!!!

  • What is this album called...I want it so badd hard to find

  • @missjessmeliss A Bit of What you Fancy I think... I have it on LP, easy to get.

  • still makes me sad/happy at the same time.....great track

  • tour again........please

  • I dug this record in 90 and to me it's still timeless being that my influences and roots are the stones, faces - ohh lala, rod stewart, and these guys picked it right up without missing a beat. it's unfortunate that these guys were over looked as they had really crafted really good soulful down to earth songs they may have been overshadowed by cinderella and faster pussycat whom I also like as well..LQB definitely had their place in the sun... hey, that sun still shines on occasion for me\w/

  • this song is so fu.. good! brings so many memories, its just ridiculous!

    <3<3

  • I remember this song. Been a long time since i heard this

  • yup ,, still a good song

  • PLAY LONDON AGAIN!

  • 22248014 gg. jeśli jest ktoś kto ma płytę z tą piosenką pisać-pilne.

  • An incredibly unappreciated band. We live in a world where people know Warrant, but not these guys. Shame.

  • What a great fukn song. Classic.

  • what can i say?

  • Such a unique voice.

  • Rod Stewart influences all over here.

  • Awesome gig at the royal court. Got put on my arse by a bouncer for trying to get to Spike afterwards, I was so wound up. Brilliant set.

  • @davenebraski see my other post on youtube I made a space in your name

  • @dave nebraski

I stand corrected on the Quireboys.I never knew they performed in 1985.This is lovely song.I listened to the other songs you sent and can see the influence from the 70s.

  • i always loved this song! glad to see so many people agree with me. most of the peo[le i meet never heard it before but fall in love with it when i play it! also really love seeing things by the black crows!!! sorry aint nothin to me, im gone and thats the way it must be!!!

  • But Every Rose has a Thorn came first. So this song may have been inspired by Poison's.

  • @liddlelaurie

This song was only released on record in 1990 so Poison's did come out first. However, I Don't Love You Anymore had been in The Queerboys live set since 1985 and was already a big fan favourite long before 88's Open Up and Say Ah. Anyway, I'd say you're barking up the wrong tree about these 80s bands influencing each other. Check out these more likely influences from the 1970s instead:

    youtube/KZ8-XGGgEoo

    youtube/YG8hbzgEPLI

    youtube/AB0FyMq_Urg

  • Now I know where "Every Rose has a Thorn" was inspired from.

  • The memories ... they will Always be the best... Music Has Always Been A Remedy Of Sorts For Me....

  • @MCBarada Hi ya thankyou so much for your reply. I wasnt sure that they were a band in the uk and would have liked to have gone to Donnington Park. I will keep my eyes and ears open for them. Enjoy brussels and once again thankyou.

  • ahhhh, i love this song and it brings back soooo many memories, These guys were great and i wonder if they are still around. I used to have this song but lost it on the way. now i have found it on you-tube and im so pleased. love rock ballads

  • Man I miss these guys, cruisin my 64 GTO jambin hard to their rhythm. I'm real sorry they never made it big, they could have been as big as Guns N Roses with a full orchestra behind them and with the right handling. I'm just glad that I was alive at the same time they where and heard them play. Awesome!!

  • great band!!

  • its been a while since i heard this one r.i.p. kevin this was your song.

  • Saw these guys in a club called Slammers in Martinsburg,WV opening for L.A. Guns. One of the best live bands I've ever seen.

  • This song is very true, and honest. Going through the exact same thing right now.

  • Punk forever! ;-))

  • The sad fact is that the only second generation band to make any money at this genre were the Crowes (and even they haven't faired so well in recent years) You have to find your own voice. Anything that smacks of a tribute to the Faces or the Stones tends to come off as a retread. Even if you're talented.

  • shit, when my buddy said his dad was in a rock band lol, i didnt expect there band to be this big lol.

  • Really beautiful ...

  • mp3iiiiify now lets you grab cd-quality VEVO videos and HD YouTube videos to convert into mp3s. AWESOME> google mp3iiiiify.

  • Used to listen to this in 1989...

    Twenty years gone by...

    It's hard to believe it

  • This my other halfs favourite song of all time, i think its quite good too!

  • In my All Time Favorites List.

You cant hardly find this song anywhere for Download or anything.

I put a VHS tape on to record Headbangers Ball one night in 1989 and let it record till it ran out of tape.

Caught this song on it. Had never heard of it before then.

Still have the tape and considered locking it in the Safe. LOL

    Thanks For Posting,

  • That VHS tape has a couple of hard to find videos on it that I caught that night.

One on there I cant even find on YT, it is Jani Lane (Warrant) sitting by the RR Tracks singing Heaven (just him and an acoustic guitar).

But they listen to rap cause thats what is consider cool.

  • @leiefilm meh i supose your right but personaly i dont care lol, when you grow up with the dad i have, all you listen to is this kinda stuff so its normal for me cuz i grew up with it ^_^ but stuff like ...dizzee rascal... needs to be put down in all honesty...i cannot stand music like that :/ an i often think what the music world is coming to xD
