I am SO glad i found this.... it was on a cd that an ex of mine had but had lost the track listing.....so i didnt know who the artist was. LOve it :-)
Anyone who caught The Quireboys live 89-93 will have often seen the Red Dogs playing with them. Footage has recently been rediscovered and is now on youtube. Do a search for "Red Dogs Working Late" to bring up the video for the single or "Red Dogs Super Channel" for two live tracks and small interview. Hope it brings back memories for some of you.
Saw these on the 'Bit of what you fancy' tour back in the day. Full house in London, couldn't of fitted another person in there. Awesome. Saw them recently play a bar called Junction 7 in Notts to about 30 disinterested people.... They were still awesome. Still cared. Still did their very best... Great, professional band. I hope they never stop playing.
I dug this record in 90 and to me it's still timeless being that my influences and roots are the stones, faces - ohh lala, rod stewart, and these guys picked it right up without missing a beat. it's unfortunate that these guys were over looked as they had really crafted really good soulful down to earth songs they may have been overshadowed by cinderella and faster pussycat whom I also like as well..LQB definitely had their place in the sun... hey, that sun still shines on occasion for me\w/
i could have cried, man awsiome song, this is still one of my best bandz ever, reminedz of my late cuz darwin,he got me the cassette of this album, imiss little bro luvz ya!!!
I stand corrected on the Quireboys.I never knew they performed in 1985.This is lovely song.I listened to the other songs you sent and can see the influence from the 70s.
i always loved this song! glad to see so many people agree with me. most of the peo[le i meet never heard it before but fall in love with it when i play it! also really love seeing things by the black crows!!! sorry aint nothin to me, im gone and thats the way it must be!!!
This song was only released on record in 1990 so Poison's did come out first. However, I Don't Love You Anymore had been in The Queerboys live set since 1985 and was already a big fan favourite long before 88's Open Up and Say Ah. Anyway, I'd say you're barking up the wrong tree about these 80s bands influencing each other. Check out these more likely influences from the 1970s instead:
Sorry Khaled, but you were the love of my life, but you happend to do something that I would have never dreamed you would. You played with my heart, soul and my feelings. I see now even a littlle late but at least my eyes are opened now, and dear " I don't love you anymore. So good luck with ur lovelife, for I am sure that you will never find one that will ever love you like I did, yes Khaled like " I did" Thank God I am finally over you. bye Khaled Maggie
...oh my god...i remember like it was yesterday....my girlfriend kicked me off and a friend took me to a concert...Quire Boys played this song......I wont forget that night....lots of beer & other stuff...
life can be a bitch some times...but hey if someones says that to me i wouldnt care...only for one person that makes a difference...i never want to loose my precious

The sad fact is that the only second generation band to make any money at this genre were the Crowes (and even they haven't faired so well in recent years) You have to find your own voice. You cant hardly find this song anywhere for Download or anything.
I put a VHS tape on to record Headbangers Ball one night in 1989 and let it record till it ran out of tape.
Caught this song on it. Had never heard of it before then.
Still have the tape and considered locking it in the Safe. LOL
Thanks For Posting,
