@321611Sam The correct term is actually Mexica not Aztecs and there are many different Indigenous ethnicities in Mexico. The Majority of Mexicans are not half half at least 30% are pure Indigenous it could be more. And 60% have mixed however the grand majority of that 60% has more Indigenous blood than anything else. Mexico at heart is still an Indigenous nation however years of colonization has made us not see that. I'm glad you enjoyed the speech. :)

There were obviously many others but these are the main group of indigenous people that inhabited Central and South America.

@JReyes123 Yep, most of us are. Instead of calling us indigenous or Native Americans, just use the words, Nican tlaca (knee-khAn, tlAcA), which is the language of the Mexica (aka Aztecs) tribe. It means "we the people here".

mexicos demographics bureau did a study in 2008 that showed when it comes to dna 80% are mostly of the red man indigenous race. most mexicans are the descendants of the aztecs everything from our flag to our name (mexican) comes from the main aztec tribe the mexicatl!! spanish or full WHITE europeans are a minority and mestizos are called mestizos cos their at least HALF indigenous. when it comes to full bloods there are more indigenous than whites.
