  • Very pretty :)

  • One hint for those using the soda cans...rinse them well after use and set them aside to dry out. That way you have a clean can to work with and won't get sticky while cutting it apart. Try using the cans for die cuts, too. Snowflakes are great on cans, and you can use the color of the can to work for your project.

  • Hello, Can u tell me ...is there a way to smooth the aluminum edges on arts and crafts so that they wont cut or be sharp? Thanks

  • @HipHopcheerleader Hello, Sorry for the delay in response. After the aluminum is run through the Big Shot and cut with the dies, the edges are no longer sharp. Prior to that, the edges are sharp and care needs to be taken when handling. I have yet to draw blood, but I am very careful.

  • cksmith-I'm sorry, I don't know enough about the Sizzix Texture Boutique to really answer your question. After doing an internet search, it looks like the Boutique includes embossing folders. The thing I'm not sure about is whether you can run a piece of aluminum through the machine. My suggestion is that you contact Sizzix Customer Service and see what they suggest. Thanks. Anne

  • I really like this - but I don't have a Big Shot. Will it work with the Sizzix Texture Boutique?

  • @cksmith7798 It should...the two machines work the same way; the only real difference is the size.

  • Clever idea to recycle aluminium cans. Very effective as well.

  • how simple .... great idea Thanks

  • great idea for upcycling!
