Sang this for the second (and last D:) time at 2010's Angel's sing. Gotta say, I have always wanted to sing this song in IYC, glad I got to do it. we didn't try the double octave but it still sounded beyond epic. I wish I wasn't a senior, I would love to do this one last time next year. Truely, this is one incredible rendition of one of the most classic and memorable arrangement of O HOly Night I have ever sang or Heard ever. except no substitutes: this is the BEST version ever written.
I am upset that we (IYC) aren't singing this piece again this year for Angel's Sing. We are, however doing Oh Come, Emmanuel with a Cello that is absolutely amazing.
the chord was perfectly beautiful without the higher note. it was extraordinary and very clear. so good job anyway! splendid! this arrangement is growing on me
Idk, i agree with the accompaniant and the beginning, to me it just Doesn't fit O Holy Night, i personally like the original version of the song..... i also believe that the notes are held out WAY too long at the begining and it sounds like it is being clipped in the chorus part of the song..... "Fall On Your Knees" and i just dont like the added ending.... i guess i just dont like the arrangement
Well done by the choir.... poor arangment in my opinion
@grandpianoalex89 I dont know what you're talking about. We (Yes Im in it now) are freaking beast. And Mr. Ellis is probably the best accompanist that has ever been. He just got done touring Australia and he performed in the Sydney Opera House. Sure, the piano isnt the best, but there is a big difference between a bad piano and a bad pianist. He's our accompanist and he arranges a lot of the music we sing (but not this). Dont be so rash with the comments...

That double octave at the end was beautiful but I feel like it was ultimately uneffective in this piece. The girl's got talent, though

Hey, Martin is a much more gifted man than you will ever be. He is a concert level pianist. I would know because I'm in this choir and work with him.

ew....good...
but...you're accompanist needs to learn the music and just quit banging on the piano...that was bad...lol
and that last not is not written...
i didn't care for it at all...like whatsoever...
it was just like "I've got it, so why not sing it"...
**PICK A NOTE**...
