I do not understand why people want to cause arguments or friction between eachother. If someone doesn't like this music, why would they waste their time searching for the artist,song, and title just to cast negativity online. Don't respond to them because that's what they want youto do. Just listen and enjoy, isn't that why we take the time to find these songs to begin with?
@crazymiles if you look at the post it was a statement made two years ago, well before pitchfork re-released pavement to the masses, in a time when they were sort of a "long-forgotten indie band". anyway, i wouldn't go calling the person who uploaded the song/ created the video any names...
great song, great band, thanks for uploading @foreverWHOfan !
great pics & perfect song to put with them, one of my favorites. Brings back a lot of great memories.. I still find myself listening to Pavement on a regular basis, their sound never gets old.
Ooooh... How I love this band. The anthems of days long past. Getting high with old friends who are long gone and elsewhere these days, listening to their albums on constant repeat. *sigh* '95 seems so distant. I miss those carefree days. This song has and always will give me shivers.... "So drunk in the August sun and you're the kind of girl I like because you're empty and I'm empty..." Brilliant. Godspeed SM.
Ah Pavement, one of my fave american lo-fi-indie bands. Seen them many times live. Slanted and Enchanted and Crooked Rain rule. Nice post and Happy Holidays to you my busy bee(who can keep up with it all!)
hey everyone. plz check out my other videos. i have 1 for the Velvet Underground, the Kinks, THE WHO, and one for their drummer: Keith Moon! id appreciate it
The hate against Pitchfork is unbelievable. So what if people found it through Pitchfork? What difference does it make?

Pitchfork voted this song as the greatest track of the 90's. Idiotic, this is some pretty bland stuff.
Ylviste 6 months ago
@Ylviste
C'mon, the guitar is so...velvety! Argh. 'Bland' is the wrong word, methinks.

@Technodominance Agreed, Pitchfork fucking idolized Crooked Rain wayyy too much. Wowee Zowee's my fav personally.
Whatever, I fucking hate Pitchfork. Who the fuck gives the first Mars Volta album a low score.
Bastards.

Pitchfork listed this as the number one song of the 90's. It's an indiecentric website...I dont think its number one.
Nugugerube 1 year ago
@Nugugerube
I agree with you that this is not the best of the 90's, but it's still a damn great song

If this song does not make you happy, you should start questioning your humanity, or at least your taste in music.
