  • The hate against Pitchfork is unbelievable. So what if people found it through Pitchfork? What difference does it make?

  • #2 was more worthy of #1 than #1

  • So drunk in the August sun, and you're the kind of girl I like

  • Pitchfork voted this song as the greatest track of the 90's. Idiotic, this is some pretty bland stuff.

  • @Ylviste

C'mon, the guitar is so...velvety! Argh. 'Bland' is the wrong word, methinks.

  • wade & richard @ aisin.....................?

  • Been listening to Pavement for years now but this is one of my faves.

  • Really?sure!

  • yo this is great thans thats/11d bkah /l 90

  • I do not understand why people want to cause arguments or friction between eachother. If someone doesn't like this music, why would they waste their time searching for the artist, song, and title just to cast negativity online. Don't respond to them because that's what they want youto do. Just listen and enjoy, isn't that why we take the time to find these songs to begin with?

  • I have a hard time looking over the z on the end of "sound".

  • this is some gay ass shit said my the slutter mac daddy ryan

  • thumbs up if pitchfork sent you here

  • @FAVATA8 shut up.

  • @FAVATA8 that is the worst way to find pavement.

  • @Technodominance Agreed, Pitchfork fucking idolized Crooked Rain wayyy too much. Wowee Zowee's my fav personally.

Whatever, I fucking hate Pitchfork. Who the fuck gives the first Mars Volta album a low score.

    Bastards.

  • Pitchfork listed this as the number one song of the 90's. It's an indiecentric website...I dont think its number one.

  • @Nugugerube

I agree with you that this is not the best of the 90's, but it's still a damn great song

  • If this song does not make you happy, you should start questioning your humanity, or at least your taste in music.

  • i can't wait to see them at coachella.

  • @MCTremble luckyyyy. how were they?

  • Pavement is my bible. And Built to Spill is awesome. Who else has a sounds resembling this?

  • Archers of Loaf

    Dinosaur Jr

Treepeople (Doug Martch's band before Built to Spill, though he only sings backing vocals)

    Superchunk

  • Preston School of Industry , The Silver Jews

  • pixies, sebadoh

  • where we this music hiding i love it

  • it was hiding in The Long Fogotten Inide Rock Bands of the 1990s. =P

  • @foreverWHOfan

Long forgotten? You're a fucking retard.

  • @crazymiles if you look at the post it was a statement made two years ago, well before pitchfork re-released pavement to the masses, in a time when they were sort of a "long-forgotten indie band". anyway, i wouldn't go calling the person who uploaded the song/ created the video any names...

great song, great band, thanks for uploading @foreverWHOfan !

  • these guys are way ahead of there time , im just catching up.

  • quality m8 quality.

  • yepp true. =))

  • Ooooh... How I love this band. The anthems of days long past. Getting high with old friends who are long gone and elsewhere these days, listening to their albums on constant repeat. *sigh* '95 seems so distant. I miss those carefree days. This song has and always will give me shivers.... "So drunk in the August sun and you're the kind of girl I like because you're empty and I'm empty..." Brilliant. Godspeed SM.

  • You could come over and sit on my couch anytime. There'll be more carefree days, just keep lookin. This is musician's music.
