I had a huge crush on Adam Ant when in HS but years later got to meet him in person as well as Grace Jones and James Hong (Asian guy who was in Blade Runner..u know whom I'm talking about) anyway, Adam Ant flirted with me when improvising but that ended up on the cutting room floor (darn!) but u can see me in dance scene w/ guy wearing dark shades and my hair was spikey on top like Tina Turner in Road Warrior.

I got to see them live in Arizona - in '81 (ish)....They were AWESOME - and Adam...when he danced, could move places most people don't even know they have. He was BEAUTIFUL!! Great Era - so glad I got I got to be a part of. Anyone remember the Spit Enz?....

I saw the Ants once - December 21st 1981 at the Dominion Theatre in London - and it was like a "year zero" in music for me. Why this band aren't remembered with the reverence they deserve is anyone's guess. Adam was extraordinarily creative! Hope he's in good health now.

ummm you do know that Colin Thurston is from same area of england as Adam ant right? hence similar voices and sound. also a lot of music during the 80's had a similar sound cause everyone was using synthizers by the same company. also a lot of the production was done by that guy who did the song she blinded me with science. he still does producing for a lot of big bands today.

I'm so lucky to have seen him twice - once in the late 70's when I was VERY young, and in the early 80's, still a teenager. Both absoultely fantastic, can't say enough how fabulous the band, and esp Adam. were.....sigh!

Considering Adam Ant was still recording into the mid '90s, it's really not weird for people born in the '80s to be on that front. We truly grew up with him playing on the stereo. And particularly those of us with young parents who listened to the earlier eras when they were in their teens, we were exposed to that on top of it all.
