In the late 50's channel 13 had nothing but calm children's show as their was a one man show with any p.c. that was like Mr. Rogers, and he may have taken the idea for his tempo from it.
Hey, Soupy, really hope a gentleman like you does recover fully, and that you get to go to 100. Most people in the Biz should be lined up and shot, but you were a true blue Knight to many who needed a good laugh, with out perverts and hatred against our race/people.
I love you, Soupy. You got me through some of the most difficult times in my life! Sandy Becker, too. Chuck McCann, too! LOVED NYC kids TV, AND radio WABC!!!!!

Yes, but Soupy's Jewish...not Mel Gibson's favorite. Loved Soup and still enjoy watching him when I need a laugh.
Grew up in NJ; a classmate of mine dated Tony, one of Sales' sons. All I remember is that he was cute and, of course, played in a band.
