they should change change the "fire lanes" to emergeny vehicals or public sevices vehicals lane then people like this would not have something to bitch about. This is irrelevent because while on duty and even if this is a break yes a cop on a break is not off duty and if need he would have to cut his break short or allowed to park in no parking zones
Usually cops park in firelanes when there is small problems... such as a suspicious person or something. Some cops are out of line, but my guess is this guy was on duty, and he was parking close bcuz he left his car running. Another good example is, when a cop passes you at a high rate of speed... usually this happens on a open highway and they are undercover on their way to a scene. Honestly i dont care where he parks, cuz you better be happy when your in trouble he will be there to protect.

My friend went up to one and said, "I'd like to report someone parking illegally." The cop got all interested and started to go out with her. But when he said, "where is it?" And she said, "right there, the police car." He got pissy and said, "Don't you have anything more important to do than waste my time?"
