Dinah is my favorite female vocalist, but Jack Jones's version of this song, I think is still the best. I've never heard a singer do this one better than jack Jones!
Dinah has a big voice and requires this big band sound behind her. Her voice truly has a magical ring to it and what perfect diction. You need to lay back, close your eyes and listen to really trip out on her vocals. When it comes to sentiment no one can express emotions as well as her.
thanks for the comment yes erroll garner was good but duke ellington and oscer peterson took some beeting mind you i just love jazz thanks again nick cox

@450984 I agree that Jack Jones has a great voice, but Dinah has sooo much soul!! Jack is just another guy with a dreamy voice and eyes!

There can be only one: for jazz piano - Erroll Garner. For guitar blues & virtuosity - Feliciano. For Torch songs - DINAH WASHINGTON!!! LOVE 'EM ALL.

Sexy? Beautiful? Just a few months at the beginning or her career. But immediately she became more fatty than an obese elephant or hippopotamus
