Most of the Canadiens cups were won because of unfair territory rights that instantly made the Canadiens to win the cup nearly every year. The other teams with similar rights were the Leafs(Ontario) and the RedWings(Western Canada). The scraps that were left over were given to the Rangers, Bruins and Hawks. Makes sense, the Habs, Leafs and Redwings have the most cups of the 6, while the lesser 3 have much less.
