  • its cool but u are kiding, right??? right???? i bought 5.1 suround with 80euros and u are saying for just 1 speacker 140 USD. U have to be kidding

  • @ThePanaftras

For one, 80 Euros would be about $115

Secondly, your 5.1 surround is probably for a headset, right?

    This isn't a headset.

  • @TraumaTrae 1)Creative Inspire T6100 for 80euros 1 woofer 2 main with twiters 1 in center 2 in the back 6total suround-ing u 2) i really did get what u meant by headset (sorry) isnt headsets a 2 piece only things? there is a headset 5.1??? cause i said 5.1 3)80euros is 56 dollars euro is currently stronger tha dollar

    thank u for ur time

  • @ThePanaftras

They do have 5.1 Surround Sound Headsets, just look at any Turtle Beaches or Trittons

And yes, the Euro is stronger than the dollar, meaning that it would cost more in dollars.

I Euro is about 1.42 US dollars. So, 80 x 1.42 is approximately 113 dollars.

  • @Katsumaru Ah, thanks for the info, it's a bit out of my price range right now though.

  • Great, now I wanna play Bayonetta.

  • This sounds AMAZING on my roof :D

  • I just realized that this would be awesome if it were built into the bottom of laptops.

  • Does anyone know any sites that sell this in the UK? My searching has brought up nothing, I hate it that we rarely get the truly cool gadgets!

  • @henryguitarhero so they can learn how to spell paragraph

  • That is so cool.

  • why does everyone type paragreph comments

  • kewl

  • "it is like magic" lol your a funny dude, cool speaker though but whats the point if there aint no bass.

  • there is surprisingly strong bass actually. the setting for bass and treble is very accomodating for various tastes.

  • I FUCKIN WANT IT!!

i've never seen something like that in my country (italy), neither now 2010! do you think i can find it? or i need to order it?

  • its fucking cool man i want it ~

  • We can´t hear how good the quality is, because: 1. you´re probably using a crappy low frequency recorder or my speakers don´t produce tinny noises. so send me it and I´ll test it for free. You pay for postage :)

  • ya but why no battery if only it had built in battery this thing would be so practical but if it has to be plugged in its not portable

  • thanks for posting this i couldnt decide to buy it thanx a lot

  • nice

  • wtf cnet has no review and only one user review, you'd think they'd be on top of awesome shit like this.

  • yep, you'd think so. =) Lets give them some benefit of the doubt, maybe they will catch up a bit later on this year.

  • are they ever going to make a rechargable one? it doesnt need to be wireless, just have a battery. i would definitely buy one if it had a rechargable battery.

  • !@!@ MUST BUY!@ thx for this vid! ^__^

  • is there any other such speaker in the market today?

  • Plenty. It isn't a particularly new idea.

Well, as someone above suggested, Nikolai Tesla invented a similar device almost 100 years ago, I dunno about that but I do know that such things have been sold as novelty speakers at least since the 80's (poss due to the advent of the Walkman) and were advertised quite heavily when MP3 players became popular.

  • yes there is. the nimzy vibro max.

  • does the table its on vibrate or anything?

  • yes, it re-vibrates the sound through the surface. different surfaces indeed make different sound. best on glass, wood or granit.

  • It has to vibrate. That is what sound is, vibrations. Put your hand on the driver (y'know, the circular thingy in your speaker) while playing music at a louder volume and feel the way it bounces. It is that which is creating the sound waves which enable you to hear your favourite songs.

That said, this won't vibrate the table in the way I believe you are wondering. It won't be noticeable, or at least only barely so.

  • Oh and by the way, I talked to iceTECH guys a cpl weeks ago - they said they will bring a wireless bluetooth model in by this XMas season. Ta-DA! =)))

  • Good for a cool trick but wouldn't a pair of headphones or just portable speakers(they have rather small ones) work better.

  • Dude, you have no idea how strong the sound is from the iceKUBE. You would need pretty big speakers to match the audio parameters, but not the coolness factor.

And of course you can use headphones, but it is like comparing a bike with a car. Yeah, its cool and fast, but, get 3 people to transport and you are busted.

  • Seems like such a dopey oversight, not showing us how it sounded on different surfaces.

It does seem to be a great idea but for those of us who really appreciate music (snobs?) for more than a poppy hook or a cute singer with a high dress, I don't see it being too popular unless it can match high quality portable speakers and/or pro headphones.

And surely the idea is to listen to or share your music while out and about, so to run from an AC adapter rather than batteries seems pretty daft.

  • The only type of surface it would not sound good on is anything soft: pillow, blanket, sofa, etc..

It is awesome on the table, wooden floor, countertop, really anything solid.

In regards to the sound quality, sorry mr.Snob, but IT-20 beats the crap out of most of those battery-operated, or passivley powered from laptops portable speakers. It is they who has to try to catch up with iceKUBE. The degree of bass and treble fine-tuning on this thing is totally outstanding for this class.

  • thats one amazing piece of work..

    i need one!

  • The name of the song is hold my hand originally performed by Frank Sinatra

  • You're ridiculous!

  • what's that song playing

  • Julie London "Fly Me To The Moon"

  • i hope you al know that this speker was made for over 100 years agou by nikolai tesla

  • tesla was quite the genius

  • Interesting. Did he really develop this technology? Do you happen to have any reference?

  • i have many hours of tesla dokumentery you just have to dig diiper in the internet, hope you know that they tried to make us forget about tesla so you have to dig deap

  • have you heard od TESTASTIKA

  • interesting concept. have you ever got a chance to really witness a working one?

  • this would work awesomely on a solid wood table

    i love the idea

  • How much did you get yours for? in US dollars

  • $99 and free shipping

  • You should have used the Frank Sinatra Version of that song

  • So..can you hear music from the entire surface, or does the music only come from the "kube"

  • From the surface and the Kube, both.

  • you are very good boy!!!!!!!:p in this video you are a bear men i like so much

  • lol, i hope this was a girl writing

  • Why no apple dock connector?

  • Simple reason - intensive vibration may lead to shorter lifetime of an iPod. Trus us, you do not want your iPod vibrating all the time. This device it very powerful. Laying nearby on the table is a different thing - it is not firmly attached to the vibration source then (and you can still connect it like any headphone to the iceKube).

  • amzin

  • This is a Nimzy Vibro Max, developed in Singapore. Not called an iceKube. There is a whole range of Nimzy speakers from their site... which i can't remember

  • HK company is selling their knock off. iceTECH has patents for USA, but it is hard to control those copy-cats from asia.

  • Awesome device... Is it out in stores or available to order yet? if so for how much?

  • CooL

  • Thats so cool.

  • sorry for the multi post

  • $89.99 on J&R

    $99.95 on B&H with a $15 Mail-in-rebate

  • No, Nimzy is a HK knock-off of iceKUBE

  • AWESOME!! i love gadgets like this does it run on batteries
