We can´t hear how good the quality is, because: 1. you´re probably using a crappy low frequency recorder or my speakers don´t produce tinny noises. so send me it and I´ll test it for free. You pay for postage :)
are they ever going to make a rechargable one? it doesnt need to be wireless, just have a battery. i would definitely buy one if it had a rechargable battery.
Well, as someone above suggested, Nikolai Tesla invented a similar device almost 100 years ago, I dunno about that but I do know that such things have been sold as novelty speakers at least since the 80's (poss due to the advent of the Walkman) and were advertised quite heavily when MP3 players became popular.
It has to vibrate. That is what sound is, vibrations. Put your hand on the driver (y'know, the circular thingy in your speaker) while playing music at a louder volume and feel the way it bounces. It is that which is creating the sound waves which enable you to hear your favourite songs.
That said, this won't vibrate the table in the way I believe you are wondering. It won't be noticeable, or at least only barely so.
Oh and by the way, I talked to iceTECH guys a cpl weeks ago - they said they will bring a wireless bluetooth model in by this XMas season. Ta-DA! =)))
Dude, you have no idea how strong the sound is from the iceKUBE. You would need pretty big speakers to match the audio parameters, but not the coolness factor.
And of course you can use headphones, but it is like comparing a bike with a car. Yeah, its cool and fast, but, get 3 people to transport and you are busted.
Seems like such a dopey oversight, not showing us how it sounded on different surfaces.
It does seem to be a great idea but for those of us who really appreciate music (snobs?) for more than a poppy hook or a cute singer with a high dress, I don't see it being too popular unless it can match high quality portable speakers and/or pro headphones.
And surely the idea is to listen to or share your music while out and about, so to run from an AC adapter rather than batteries seems pretty daft.
The only type of surface it would not sound good on is anything soft: pillow, blanket, sofa, etc..
It is awesome on the table, wooden floor, countertop, really anything solid.
In regards to the sound quality, sorry mr.Snob, but IT-20 beats the crap out of most of those battery-operated, or passivley powered from laptops portable speakers. It is they who has to try to catch up with iceKUBE. The degree of bass and treble fine-tuning on this thing is totally outstanding for this class.
i have many hours of tesla dokumentery you just have to dig diiper in the internet,hope you know that they tried to make us forget about tesla so you have to dig deap
Simple reason - intensive vibration may lead to shorter lifetime of an iPod. Trus us, you do not want your iPod vibrating all the time. This device it very powerful. Laying nearby on the table is a different thing - it is not firmly attached to the vibration source then (and you can still connect it like any headphone to the iceKube).
This is a Nimzy Vibro Max, developed in Singapore. Not called an iceKube. There is a whole range of Nimzy speakers from their site... which i can't remember

ThePanaftras 7 months ago
@ThePanaftras
For one, 80 Euros would be about $115
Secondly, your 5.1 surround is probably for a headset, right?
This isn't a headset.

@ThePanaftras
They do have 5.1 Surround Sound Headsets, just look at any Turtle Beaches or Trittons
And yes, the Euro is stronger than the dollar, meaning that it would cost more in dollars.
I Euro is about 1.42 US dollars. So, 80 x 1.42 is approximately 113 dollars.

does the table its on vibrate or anything?
defragen1 2 years ago
yes, it re-vibrates the sound through the surface. different surfaces indeed make different sound. best on glass, wood or granit.
