I haven't listened to music in several years. Music became painful for my mind and body (due to fibromyalgia and being on pain meds) I started to listen tonight while seeking God for His Presence and healing. I have been listening for more than an hour and no pain, no nervousness, no racing heart. I have been laying in bed crying as I feel that I am being healed as I am worshipping my Father, my Savior.

"Prayer tongues" are not biblical. Anyone teaching or telling you that they come from the Holy Spirit needs to read the Bible. In the mean time, RUN from them, as this is also used in the occult.

If it's not in the Bible, it's not Christian. If you have to ask for a gift, it's not a gift. God will give you the gifts He will give you.

Read the book of Acts chapter 2.... The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a much debated subject in the church. Jesus taught do not grieve the Holy Spirit, as well as many of the Pastoral letters to the churches in the New Testament. I don't know if this helps.

The Scriptures say that all of our work will be tried as by fire. Our God is a consuming fire. God will purify us as gold refined in the furnace. The Jews had laws of purification. Some things could be purified by water. Others had to be cleansed by fire.

For me this song is a cry for purity.

Paines, ask the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh with him, and ask him to give you the gift of tongues. It's a gift he has for everyone. check out 1 cor. chap. 14. Paul points out that he wishes for everyone to speak in tongues, because it builds us up personally, strengthens us, etc. Holy Spirit is here to help us, build us up, etc. HE wants you to have it.

The Holy Spirit gives us "diverse" tongues, for his purposes, for the purpose at hand, for the purpose of the season. Paul said "I will sing in the spirit...", and that is what Misty is doing. She is (and you are) in control of exactly how tongues come out of you, but assuming you are yielding to the unction of the Holy Spirit, you are probably in a season of warfare.
