  • Would be cooler if you could actually move it, always wanted to drive a bike on the bottom of a pool. (Filled with Water) Although physics might keep that from happening....

  • for some people with joint or bone problems, it would be easier to excersize underwater because it lessens the pain

  • the effects of spongebob

  • i like the bike... psych

  • Alright! now I can bike with spongebob and patrick!

  • whats the point of training underwater. you know they have that on dry land already. its a stationary bicycle.

  • Well if somebody invented that .....I'll invent underwater "PORN" and make a world record...NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.. :)

  • @timmybaber007 i think its been done already lol

  • @dumaznbum Agree with U....I think i've already invented that... :P

  • if u try this in the real sea it's fucking funny, i mean not attached to anything

  • ..... stationary bikes people wake up

  • "so you do a mile without actually having to move"

Yeah, except You can already do that on an exercise bike Genius

  • great training for when you actually have to bike underwater

  • omg take the rollers our of the water............

  • i think tat would cost more with all those gears than goin to the gym

  • you need some weights so you can stay down

  • it costs money? how bout i bring a bike from dump to the local pool

  • Yeah cuz making the wheel turn and getting tired is what riding a bike is all about. Screw cool scenery or wind blowing through my hair.

  • Why didn't they put it in 4 feet of water so your chest and head are above the water??

  • I wonder if you can get sweaty underwater...

  • @Nitros124 you actually do sweat. Swimmers in a training session need to rehydrate every so often for a reason

  • @Nitros124 you can, it just gets rinsed off tho. If you didnt it wouldnt be exercise.

  • i think swimming normally will burn a lot more calories.

maybe this could increase your cycling power though by adding resistance

  • If you thought wetsuits chafed before...

  • It should be noted in all this that the point was to raise money for Sport Relief as well as have a bit of a laugh! The event overall raised nearly £8000.00.

  • THATS FUCKING RETARTED

  • So in a news story, you have who, what, where, when and how. That's great. They forgot to answer the one question that came to my mind while watching this. Why.

  • if they were to race who would win

  • wa.. its cool.. bath while cycling :D.

  • wow this is what happens when ppl have to much time on their hands

  • why not just get a tredmeal and run a mile

  • ya i know rite?

  • No fun with air tanks. How about a record he can pedal farthest while holding his breath.

  • die armen lager...

  • so overall , it's harder to cycle underwater

  • I actually think it's a very good idea! Under water, you burn calories just to keep the body temperature, breathing is more difficult because of water pressure, it's much more difficult to pedal because of the increased viscosity. I'm really interested in trying that sometimes!

  • what the heck?!

  • fail

  • under water weight only plays a very small factor... its all about the power you put in

  • wont it be harder to pedal, better exercise?

  • it's acctually a lot easyer to pedal

try lifting a rock that is underwater and try lifting the same rock out of water

you'll see that it's much easier in water

  • Weight actually makes it difficult. When riding a bike, you turn the pedals by putting weight on each one alternately. If you don't weigh anything, you won't be able to pedal. Also, air is much harder to move out of the way than water, so quick pedaling is nigh impossible.

  • Ummm...actually water is much harder to move out of the way then water. Weight isn't that important, it's the enegry you can apply to the pedal that is important.

  • That energy is applied through your own weight pushing down on each pedal. If it were a hand-cranked bicycle, or if you were strapped to the seat, it wouldn't make a difference.

  • 1). air is easier to displace then water

2). you apply force into the pedal, not weight

3). If water were easier to move then air, how would quick pedaling be impossible?

You put force into th pedal against resistance. If you merely put your weight onto the pedal, you would not exert energy nor force.

  • weight is force.

  • @jhecker123

It kinda sounds like you're saying weight isn't force.

Let me teach you a little something, weight is indeed force. Weight = Mass X Acceleration due to gravity. Force = Mass X acceleration. Do you see the connection? They're essentially the same thing, though weight is a force that has a set acceleration. Don't lecture people over a subject you apparently know little to nothing about, or you'll confuse people. Thanks.

  • weight is a force f=mg

    your thinking of mass.

  • LOL its so pointless

  • police academy 4 :D

  • able to do a mile without moving, other then pedalling... O__O

dont they alrdy have something like that at the gyms?

  • what's the use of thicker mountain bike tires? would be much easier with road bike wheels/tires.

  • Yes, but the tread increases the resistance of the tires in the water. Plus, road bikes are generally much more expensive.

  • @jmerridew124 very true, but ... they should have a singlespeed or a fixed gear at least because the bike's not gonna go anywhere and i don't see any gear shifters.

  • It's a fixed bike on a frame that allows the wheels to spin but keeps them off the ground and it should have gear shifters for an adjustable level of resistance.

  • What's the song?

  • I wonder how though it is to cycle under water

The bike exercise is nice but moving underwater makes it a little bit more tiering

  • I love how you got a +4 rating for this haha

  • People appreciate me for finally having the courage to tell the truth.

  • HAHA YES!! I LOVE THIS.

    jk idk

  • That's retarded.

  • they did it for the lulz. there. point found.

  • were all searching for lulz

  • ... are we that bored with life?

  • what a waste of time.... do something useful like saving lives in Chile or Haiti.

  • Lol look at you trying to be a samaritan.

Muppet, stop criticising what everyone elses use of time when your just siting there on youtube commanding others to help Haiti or Chile.

  • I am actually in Chile at the moment.

  • fucking hell no body cares about haiti

  • @Xarieus ???

  • @Xarieus Another Troll on the move.

  • HERES what i would do.

put the fucking bike in a tank so ur still out of the water :/

    idiotsssss

  • wow calm down there, Mr.

  • @Brute55Valentine im not mad haha

i was just saying it very brutley

  • £100!>!>?!?1?! for that much you could buy a paddle pool and a bike!

  • y not use the same thing on land, if you want to go a mile with more resistance just up the resistance....

  • maybe because your underwater!?

  • this things is fucking stupid

  • @upurhoe12321

so what like we care wat u think

  • @upurhoe12321 It's great exercise. The resistance of the water multiplies the amount of calories burned. I just walk in my pool sometimes for exercise. Ever hear of water aerobics?

  • why you ask? they're preparing for when all the arctic ice melts ;) these people see ahead

  • when 2012 comes :))))

  • this would make to be a great cycling practice tool.

  • Ahahaa yess

  • LOL wtf...stupid english

  • this is kind of smart, actually

if you want a stupid way to exercise look up the "treadmobile"

  • you guys are wasting oxygen... you guys could have just lower the pools water to chin level.

  • @Vza004 LOL forreals.

  • yeah.. you can also bike without having to move on the ground too smart ones.

  • but in water there is more resistance and is harder to move the wheels etc.

  • 0:30 LSD WFT THATS A DRUG !

  • i find it useful in two ways...well

    - w/o suit, hold your breath good. [good training]

    - Inside the water movement become heavy, cycling might be harder, thats good train. correct me if im wrong.

  • you a can sweat underwater u just cant feel or see it because your covered in water...

  • they should make it moveable

  • actually this is like a great invention

    1. swimming is known to be the best excersise methode

    2. combining a bicycle with swimming would be some great excersise

3.overall one of the greatest ways to excersise.

  • @AznBallin21

erm i don't see any swimming while cycling under water, rendered your point, pointless.

  • @ChrisRokers it still takes biking (which is one of the greatest exesizes of all makes it harder but u nevr have to move... and you dont over heat or sweat so you can go longer

  • @patpat122 You seriously think that you do not sweat while in water? ask your biology teacher and learn something.

  • @AznBallin21 swimming is wear you swim not bike

  • @mack583659 It never said they were swimming. Besides, SCUBA and swimming are different things.

  • @AznBallin21 actual swiming uses almost all muscles this is just cycling at least you wont need to cool down xD

  • @lilcheevous lol its still somewhat swimming cuz of the movement but ya cool down is no problem :P

  • @AznBallin21 might be good for old people you know joint relief and extra resistance

  • @AznBallin21 Except he's not really swimming o_o

  • 1 word FAIL!

  • revolotionary

  • the discription is stupid to say the least... either every sport is pointless or none is, this is not pointless why would it be? If this is indeed pointless then all sports are...

  • ur missing the point becuz ur trying to sound smart.... the point is, wtf would you need a bike in the pool for... that likes having a snorkel in the desert... theres no need for it.

  • i've seen divers with a snorkel in the desert.

    and going to McDonald's!

    watch?v=G-ct3mw6UEw

  • aah papapapaaa not true i live in the desert (middle east) (Dubai) and i go snorkeling tons of times

  • well duh... your a coastal city... i ment in the middle of the desert with NO body of water..... but funny tho.

  • @ blackhole522

    Grammer fail!

  • @ frazzizle88 - Spelling fail!

  • Spelling fail!

  • cause it's badass

  • why don't they just have a pool that goes like lets say to your chest or tummy or something that way you don't need all the scuba gear? idk but sounds cool

  • it is because it is harder to do it under water, so you get more of a workout

  • Try buying an exercise bike - it's cheaper and also adjustable!

  • and you don't need diver tools and stuff. And you don't need to waste a lot of resources...

  • cycle fail lol

  • Im pretty sure you can just use a cycling machine and cycle 'without moving, apart prom peddling'

  • this offers great resistence exercise, but they really they dont need to put the bike that deep into the water. the rider's head should be above water while cycling, to get the benefit of fluid resistence exercise and to cut unnecessary costs of having a O2 tank.

  • Whoever developed that... Should kill himself.

  • @R3DxWarri0r fuck you

  • Q_Q

  • fail cycle

  • no its cycle fail

  • I meant it like instead of bicycle it's failcycle.

  • Lol.. i think thats no point of doing that cuz you won't sweat in there :(

  • @denisbarinovx

    You are gonna sweat :/

  • @321e

How can you sweat underwater ? :/

  • @denisbarinovx

You can alright. If you diddn't sweat you would look like a freaking water balloon after just a couple of .. days p:

  • Ahahah snd ;)

  • @OlyJeebus you can't sweat underwater dumbass, because sweating is a way the body colds itself, you can' chill underwater cuz you are already chilled...

  • @andresote182

    Trust me, you can.

You would start to look like the staypuff marshmallow man from Ghostbusters after a few days p:

  • 13th

  • That takes fluid resistance to a whole new level

  • Thats not first, I saw 1 in Estonia

  • i need to bring my bike to the pool...

  • only in England baby!

  • Hehh :D:D!

  • lol

  • lol

  • LOL!

  • cool...

  • There is also underwater hockey,

    I guess..

  • awesome!

  • woah
