@guero82287 I believe before his father did die, he was speaking spiritually alive. Like in the Christian faith people say without the Lord, your not really 'alive', and you're spiritually dead. But when his father did die, he kind of changed it from faith in God, to asking his father if he ever had a real life. That's the way Cody (Vocalist) explained this in an interview.
The raw emotion is so heartfelt... I can't help but love this song.
