  • Party has gained experience! Thanks for this!

  • @makaronaldo you're welcome. glad it was helpful.

  • cool video bro but you waste a lot of water on it so you should put that water for some plants

  • @annielaneful This was a long time ago but if I remember right I believe I used it to rinse out my drains. :)

  • i like the idea that it saves power just letting the egg cook in the hot water, otherwise i would have asked what about if i have an induction stove... but i guess this works either way, but i am also a bit concerned about leaving the water running, i'm on a well so it's 'free' but you never know when it runs out...

  • Success! Thanks tin foil hat roadside egg chef man! And get a new pot, gordon ramsey would shit on your face if he saw that.

  • @MulberryMurderMafia I'll get new cookware someday when I can afford to. meanwhile I'm not too concerned how it looks, the important thing is that it works.

  • At the start was probably the worst greenscreen effects i have ever seen in my life, just sayin.

  • @thenotsew this was made two years ago when I was first figuring out how to do greenscreen right. It turns out a LOT better these days.

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom Lol im sorry :(

  • This man does everything in his power to keep people from drawing in his face

  • Wow...straight & to the POINT! :D Thanks it worked for me. Simple.

  • 1:26 There is a hair in it!

  • nice...

  • seems legit

  • thanks!

  • Thank you very much Tin Foil Chef! As a single guy who can't cook you have helped me cook great hard boiled eggs over and over again. I really appreciate it!

  • @Boredtom24 I'm glad it was helpful

  • O_O hmm yum yum #LOL

  • You put too much lighting in your room thus reflecting the greenscreen on your shadow :3

  • @PhenixReviewz actually the problem was that I did not have enough light on the greenscreen. one of the problems of operating on a shoestring budget, good lights are expensive

  • Thanks! i was looking for a good video =D

  • thank you for the video :3 egg salad here i come <3

  • It's a pot not a pan. Lol

  • You're the man.

  • Perfection, thanks for the video.

  • You owe me an egg, I didn't get it after you said "there you have it"

  • I've tried this method and the eggs were still undercooked and runny....

  • @GetTheHook - you need to step away from the kitchen and let someone else cook then.. it's as simple as water, add salt with eggs in a pot and wait for boil, turn off heat and wait about 11-15 min then rinse under cold water.. If you cannot perform this task you shouldn't cook..

  • I will try this...but my question is after you bring the water to a boil and cover it with a lid, and then transfer it to the other eye, what temperature do you continue to cook it on? low, medium, high? Thank you

  • @themrs1432 After it comes to a boil, the reason I removed it from the burner is because I don't want anymore heat in it. So I moved it to a burner that was turned off and cold. No further heat is needed, the boiling water has all the heat needed.. Continuing to add heat would overcook the eggs.

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom: Wow I would have never tried this...I will definitely try this. Thank you =]

  • hardes part is the peel . i hate making perfect eggs, then peeling the whole freaking egg off =p

  • to many idiots mocking the uploader sad! thanks for uploading keep them coming

  • @sandydogy I guarantee they're not making me sad. If anything, haters, idiots and trolls are actually good for some free laughs. They don't bother me a bit. I actually appreciate very much that they take the time to watch, comment on and rate the video. It matters not to me if they hate on me or downrate me. They're still driving the video and I genuinely appreciate that. #LOL

  • What a waste of water.

  • u need to work in your peel skills,i suggested,to check the video easy ways to peel a boiled egg in seconds

  • @crazyzerj NO

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom You peel eggs and cook them great! :D

  • Ha!....dog gonedest.....

  • why did you use so many eggs dude you must be sooo fat to eat that many eggs

  • @letsgetdrunkonbeer maybe he has a family to feed?

  • @letsgetdrunkonbeer I like to keep some on hand. If I recall correctly, this batch lasted me a couple of weeks

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom WHy would you even respond to that TROLL!???

  • @grendle1500 For the Lol's my friend, for theLol's

  • @letsgetdrunkonbeer aint no man eat 50 eggs!

  • So we don't crack them before we bowl them do we??

  • @manimaduck definitelynot

  • @h3llkiller94 Personally I think people are making a mountain out of a molehill.

  • @h3llkiller94 if people didn't have drinking water, I highly doubt they'd be sat watching youtube...or own a computer for that matter...!

  • i favorited this video nicew vid man, and a non intimidating regular guy as opposed to a chef.

my eggs are taking forever t oboi though, and i have a small pot so didnt get an inch above the eggs more like half inch lets hope

  • how to hard boil was never a question as far i am concerned. the problem was cracked eggs. then i searched and one was putting salt. i tried it but again ive got cracked egg/s. recently, i found out that one method to avoid eggs from cracking is do not cover the pot. if you cover the pot, it will add pressure to egg and crack. for several times, i never get cracked eggs. try it yourself because i am still observing this method of cooking hardboil egg...

  • thanks man, i didnt notice, but do you have a video for how to make poached eggs ?

  • I want to know how to make that hat. also do you have a recipe for fried eggs?

  • There is no such thing as "wasting water". The Earth will always have the same amount. Unless you shoot it into outer space, you can't get rid of it. Sorry AL Gore...

  • you've wasted so much water in this video..and you waste so much water every time you boil eggs..please don't do that sir

  • @MOHITMASTIWALA I'll have you know that I paid for every drop of that water, I'll use it as I please. Besides, the planet surface is 70% water, what's to waste?

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom I hate it when hippies start up with that bull crap,it's not like we're running out any time soon.

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom only 3% is fresh drinkable water just saying idc how much water you use but yea

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom Only around 10-20% of that water can be used for consumption because the rest of it is salt water. There is no way at this time to convert salt water in large quantity into drinking water.

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom

The water we get from earth must be cleaned and pasteurized. Thats a long proccess. And only 1% of water on earth is fresh and usable

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom Actually of that water on Earth, only 2.5% of it is fresh water suitable for drinking and even then 70% of that 2.5% is glacier water with the rest of the fresh water being ground or surface water... so ya there isn't really that much drinking water on Earth in perspective seeing as some countries still drink contaminated water...

  • @AOMalley05 I drink my own urine just trying to do my part!

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom it´s no matter of money. it´s a matter of respect and greatfulness. maybe once there will be a time in which you experience, how gifted and ignorant you´ve been. :)

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom 2% of that water is fresh water.

  • @MOHITMASTIWALA

I agree and what I do is put my eggs in a pan of cold water with ice and that does it perfectly without wasting water.

  • @MOHITMASTIWALA how do you waste water? It's all constantly being recycled all around you. You're fucktarded.

  • @MOHITMASTIWALA you waste so much water every time you use the restroom..and you waste so much water every time you pee or poop.. please don't do that sir.

  • christ how much fucking water do you want to waste? !!!

  • did you know that back in the day, people would make hard boiled eggs and put them in their pockets to use as handwarmers? they did so cuz they retain heat. :D

i do this every morning on the walk to school. and then i eat them for lunch! :D

  • No sire your suppose to put it on medium heat and when it comes to a boil let it sit for 10-15 minutes

  • cool video dude, thanks a bunch.

  • Whoooa this look good

  • Howdie. To save yourself a lot of time with all of that peeling, check out this vid on instant peels. search for (Tim Ferriss - How to Peel Hard-boiled Eggs without Peeling)

  • The Cold Water also helps to Release the Eggs from the inside so they will Peel a lot easier. I take mine out of the Hot Water with Tongs or a Slotted Spoon then put them into a Collander to run the Cold Water over them, You also want to Crack then Peel the Egg from the Narrow End of the Egg! If You leave them on the Full Boil for a few more minutes they will be even Harder!

  • Did you notice the water vibrates when you talk?

  • @mrgalleria nope, I never noticed that

  • ignore d12chesse's comment. this worked like a charm, however, I found that leaving them in the pot for 17 minutes instead of 15 allowed them to peal easier.

    Thanks for the tutorial

  • Ill have to try this hope it works for me I live in Illinois,,,

  • It's a good way to boil eggs - in my tests I prefer a bit harder, few minutes more wait but in principal this is a very well put together how-to. Cheers and thanks.

  • Found this video a few months ago, started suing this, and forgot to thank you. soo, um, thank you! I'm actually making eggs now. I trust they'll come out perfectly just like every other time ;j

  • Fake i tryed it and wen they come out there all saggy

  • @D12chesse not fake I assure you. Though I did say this works *almost* every time. Are you at high altitude? if so I understand that can make a difference when boiling. (though exactly what I don't know 'cause I'm NOT at high altitude)

  • A child will watch this and cut his hand open at 3:52 !!!

  • @T0rche with a butter knife? Doubtful

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom You're shit at cooking! You're poor tutorial doesn't work at all for me, i've tried several times...no success ass

  • @54acdc54 While I don't pretend to be an Iron Chef, I do ok. Sorry you've not had success with the hard boiled eggs but I really doubt that's my fault. The method I showed in this video works for me at least 90% of the time.

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom Mmmnnnnkayy. I do see your point, perhaps i'm in high altitude. I live in Pandora.

  • @54acdc54 That could easily be the problem. High altitude *Always* increases boiling times. Exactly by how much I honestly can't tell you but it seems to me that there ought to be a resource somewhere that could at least give you a clue about where to start.

  • Green Screen FAIL xD

But awesome video it really helped me thanks :)

  • @niyimm8 Heh.. back when this was made I had a lot of problems with the green screen. Glad it helped.

  • cool. thanks for the recipe

  • Thanks you for the recipe. This is the exact reason I love the internet. 1 minute I have no idea how to make something and the next I can watch a detailed video!

  • what's with the porno music?

  • wow thats how I have been cooking my eggs for years.

  • i have the same tin foil stove, i think every stove is differnt, my eggs came out perfect with this video, Thanks a bunch!

  • @gaurav1221 You're welcome! I'm glad it works for you

  • @TinFoilChefDotCom :D ty once again!

  • lol, i have to come to this vid every time i wanna make hard boiled eggs

  • @07Redstang I'm glad it's a help to you!

  • @07Redstang cough retard

  • wow... that's hard boiled eggs getting right !!!

  • the egg in the right is loosign air (check the bubble air), also it`s foalting, foalting eggs are bad

  • the right egg its loosing water check the buble air, also it`s floating, careful floating eggs are not good to eat

  • i think i saw a pub floating on your water at 1:30

  • man, everyone knows this for years. what's the point uploading such a shit? it is like you would show us how to cut a perfect slice of bread.

  • @hootini88 You'd be surprised. Perhaps where live everybody DOES know this, however judging from the comments and the fact that this has been viewed over 12,000 times as of 5/17/10 I would say that there's a whole bunch of people that didn't know it. For that matter, *I* didn't know it until about a year before I made the video!!!

  • you are awesome. thanks for the tips comes out perfect everytime

  • how long do you put the eggs to cook for?

  • @plopez0 as I said in the video, you bring them to a rolling boil and then remove from heat and cover for 15 minutes

  • if i did this every mornig for breakfast, my water bill would double

  • @flambeau9decoy The key to this is making up a lot of them at one time. If you used a larger pan you could make a couple of dozen at a time.

  • @flambeau9decoy we get free water in northen ireland =)

  • @flambeau9decoy Wow, you really should bathe more than once a week.

  • this is awesome like super kenny rogers cooking psychedelic highway zone megaboil extravaganza dudebro

  • lol, just use a knife and cut it in half, and scoop it out like avocado....with a spoon

  • so you hard boil them in a filthy bucket. gotcha

  • FIX AUDIO, and i needed this vid so badly!

  • WOW tis helps

  • Thank you! Could you use something to scoop the eggs out of the warm water if you wish to eat them warm?

  • at the start the eggs look like they have alreddy been cooked

  • I assure you that they went into the pot raw

  • @TinFoil, dylanspriddle also wants to know if you can reverse them back to the raw state.

  • @dylanspriddle, always someone like you. How did you come to that brilliant deduction, you couldn't hear the baby chick chirp inside the egg ?

  • awesome hat!..my grandmas pots look like that too haha.

  • Your Aluminum Foil hat is almost as gross as that disgusting pot you cooked the eggs on, ,sorry :(

  • Sweet aluminum foil hat XD!

  • Thanks.

Could the TinFoilChef possibly wear anything else? Lol

  • pouring cold water into a heated pan would warp the metal after a while

  • Maybe not since the cold water is running into the hot water the temperature of the pan isn't dropping that fast. The cold water running in first has to cool the water that's already there, this cools the eggs (and the pan at the same time).

Also, if you were to use a heavier stainless steel pan instead of the el-cheapo aluminum pan I was using, there's even less of a chance for warping to be an issue.

  • @ArmedSaint That's (for the most part) an old wives' tale... chefs put cold liquids into hot pans all the time, it's called deglazing, to release the fond (burnt bits) from the bottom of the pan after frying/saute to make a pan sauce or gravy.

  • Y'know, I really wish I'd thought of that. I've certainly watched enough Food Network to know about it ... Alton Brown, Emeril, & Bobby Flay just to name three that I've seen talk about it.

  • 10-4..

The trick is getting the membrane to stick to the inside of the shell rather than the outside of the egg white. I usually dunk the eggs directly into ice water after boiling to stop the cooking process (so they don't carryover and over cook), and to shrink the white. Then a 10-second dunk into hot water to expand the shell, which pulls the membrane up off the white, making it a snap to peel. Maybe 5/6 times it works haha.

  • Thanks for showing me how to make the perfect boiled eggs. When I make them usually I end up ether over cooking them or they are runny in the middle.

  • I'm glad it was helpful

  • dude that's a waste of water

  • What is? Running the water for 5 min to cool eggs? I don't think so.

  • it's funny that you say that, because water is one of the most abundant natural resources on the planet.

  • do u use cold water or hot water in the beggining ?

  • I start out covering the raw eggs with cold water

  • crazy, I like my hard boiled eggs hot, so I never cool them down, I just boil the shit out of them for 30 minutes, nothing longer though or the white will be rubbery

  • The reason for cooling them off is to stop the cooking process. That way you don't have overcooked, rubbery (or worse, believe me, I've done it.) eggs. This way you can hard boil a dozen (or more) at a time and they'll be good for several days. Then if you like 'em hot, all you need is a few seconds in the microwave oven.

  • A few seconds in the microwave oven could spell disaster, lol.

  • For a lot of things, yes but in my experience, not with hard boiled eggs.... as long as you have the sense to peel 'em first.

  • They blow up even when you pill them lol. I tried to cook a single egg yolk in a glass of water...in a matter of 2 minutes aprox. it blew up. incredible. Imagine swallowing a couple of eggs and having someone microwave you......the eggs would blow up inside you and tear our insides apart, lmao.

  • by the way, the video is on my channel, if you want to see it.

  • do you take them off right when they start boiling or let it boil for a few minutes

  • What I do is let them come to a hard rolling boil and then take them off the heat and cover them right away.

  • GO OLD MAN!!

  • OLD? I don't *DO* old. Just because there's some snow on the roof don't make the house old

  • hahaha snow on the roof, that sounds like what an old person would say! j/p though, thanks for teachin me a god way to boil eggs i love them.

  • Well, I maintain that while I may be older, I am not "old". I figure being old is a choice and it's not one that I'm interested in.

  • Glad you found it useful.. BTW- my previous response wasn't intended to come off as "attitude" sounding as it looked after I hit "post comment" I actually thought the whole "old" thing was pretty funny.

  • OH yeah haha I know you and that one guy were just jokin' about it but yeah the I have trouble hearing your videos sounds like really loud in the backround

  • I think the sound problem is mostly because my camera doesn't have a place to plug in an external mic. If it did I could use some kind of noise canceling mic to mute the background levels. Also, in older videos like this one, I had not yet learned how to adjust the sound in the video editor, which isn't a complete fix but it does help. My newer videos do sound better.

  • works great thanks mate

  • ahahah this is awesome! great video

  • hard boiled eggs are da best lol

  • Thank you so much! I will try this.

  • so you put them in the water until it starts to boil?

  • Yes. let it get a good rolling boil going and then pull them off the heat, cover and wait 15 minutes. Then run cold water on them until they're cool.

  • hey great video ,keep it up!

  • Almost every time?

  • Well, In my experience almost nothing works 100% of the time but this method works for me like 19 times out of 20

  • i'll try it
