  • I got the same results. The product is great for twist outs but as someone else said -a little goes a long way. Just don't mix any other product with it or you'll have white fakes all over your hear. When the jar is finished try Ecostyler gel. Similar results for wayyyyyy less.

  • I can't believe there's someone out there that has a hair texture like mine!

  • @thatladynikki YAY! There's more of us out here!

  • the twistout was awesome

  • I love Miss Jessies Curly Pudding for my twist outs. But, it's a hit or miss at times because of the purple/white specs it leaves in my hair even when I use less product. Your twist out looks great! Please show us how it looks later in the week if you have the time.

  • @4cTwisted I did see some flakes with the Curly Pudding. So, it's just not me. . .

  • Let me go and do a product review 1st. I caught all my Miss Jessie's Products when it was BOGO at Target. That's how I got hooked on Miss Jessie's :-) I briefly talk about there products on my Nurzi Hair Show Video, check it out.

  • I bet a Shea Moisture product could do the same for cheaper and without the mineral oil/petroleum that Miss Jessie's has. BUT, I love the definition of your twist out :)

  • @curliefro Hmmmm. . . . Which product do you think I should try in the Shea Moisture line? Yes, I did love the results of the twist out though with Miss Jessie's. Thanks!

  • @curliefro Ay... good question. I have Curl & Style Milk which I blend with aloe vera gel - only I do a twist out with it. After it dries, the definition is really good - I have never done a shingling (wash and go style).

  • I liked both outcomes.

  • @CapricornQueen80 Thank you! I liked both too because I love shrunken hair. That's probably why I'll try it again and wear it "shingled" maybe in the summer since I have so much left.

  • I don't think you should glop any product like that, maybe that was part of the problem. Maybe you'll have better luck next time.

  • @trevortni07 Since I have whole jar, I'll probably use it again and try again. You know, the instructions said to apply a lid full of product all over entire damp hair, so that's why I did that. I agree & thought that was too much as well. Hopefully next time I will end up with a better result, at least on the shingling part because I loved the results of the twist out.

  • Shingling usually works best for women with majority 3C and/or 4A hair. You used a lot of product, too. A little goes a long way with Miss Jessies. Your twist out turned out nice though.

  • @PearlfectJourney Yeah, I figured I used to much, but I was following their instructions, which clearly didn't work for me. I absolutely loved the twist out. It was very defined and shiny so. . .

  • My sister packed up the curly pudding and sent it to me. I tried it and packed it up and sent it back to her. No thanks! I can get a shiny Afro for less money.

  • @twistedmetal37 LOL! Ya'll shipping it back & forth & nobody wanted it. That's hilarious. I think for the price, I can use another product to get pretty similar results.

  • cmon girl, 4b/c and shingling does not go together. Let me say you can do it but it won't give you the same results they show on the website. 4b/c curls/coils are so tiny that even defined from far away you can't see the individual curls/coils and it ends up looking like a cloud anyway. I'm with you, use it for twistouts but don't expect the shiny defined ringlets they show on the miss jessies site bc 4b/c hair does not do that without chemicals or heat

  • PS the twistout was really nice though

  • @sunnieg83 LOL!!!! Yes, girl the shingling wasn't my thing. I did really love the twist out with the product. Honestly, I don't know what I was expecting because I know my curls/coils are tight. I'm glad I tried it though because now I know.... ha!

  • Ms Jessie's is not for everybody especially not me. I think it's for a looser curl not a tight curly girl.

  • @npetty38 I think you're right. I did like the moisture level of this Miss Jessie's, so I'm still sort of on the fence. Sort of... LOL

  • yes ma'am that is the shingle, I use to use it for twistouts and it defined my twists really good, you should have let it dry

  • @napzfaya Yeah, I may do it again and let it dry fully.

  • I have used the Curly Pudding but I didn't shingle my hair the way u did your hair. But my favorite product is the Stretch Silkening Creme.

  • @tulil78 Girl, don't get me to go out & buy that! LOL! I would probably wonder & end up trying it now that you said that . . . ha!

  • I actually liked the shingling effect on your hair. You had teeny, tiny coils. The twistout looked amazing. I am liking that hair cut!

  • @NappyNFree Yes, I liked it, but for $38 I was questioning it. I loved the twist out with the product though and still LOVE my cut!!!! :-)
