  • look the guy there that jon stewart interviews gets all the blame, give him some credit jon for going on the show and try to expose the corupt system

  • its kinda funny...if you try to go to the videos that say "so and so owns Jon Stewart", commenting and disliking is DISABLED. hmm..... i wonder why that is? oh wait, its because the people posting those videos are right-winged nut jobs who think hes a newscaster first. the fact that he can be a great journalist but not have it be his top priority is amazing.

  • Two capitalistic pawns

  • For once, I would love to see Mr.Stewart go after the real powerhouses of mis-information like Rush Limbaugh or WallStreet crooks like Llyod Blankfein who brought down the economy. Beating up easy targets like Jim cramer or Tucker carlson doesnt cut it. There is an unspoken line which this "most trusted man of America" wont cross. Most people wont notice his intellectual dishonesty along with that phony humility and his ludicrous social commentary. I have a lot more respect for Colbert than him.

  • @daarkmatter i completely agree with you... but unfortunately people like limbaugh or blankfein would never agree to go on this kind of show because they might be forced to answer some real questions that would paint their views in a negative light... my dad and i argue a lot about where a good place to get unbiased news is... obviously its not FOX or MSNBC... CNN even tends to sway a bit liberal... its pathetic that we have to go to comedy central to get realistic and unbiased journalism

  • An honest financial reporter? Talk about conflicting interests....

The very word Jim Cramer speaks can make people a ton of money or lose people a ton of money. To consider his job as one of integrity is about as rediculous as sending your personal banking information to the African prince...

  • Stewart is awesome

  • I almost feel bad for Cramer because you can hear the shakiness in his voice, like he's about to cry. But, then you have to remember that a lot of people probably lost a lot of money because of what he's done.

  • @teenprenuer Do understand that the financial market their are a risks? No you are retarded.

  • @TheDukeljk I'm the retard, but you don't even have proper grammar. If you actually watched the video you'll see clips of Kramer encouraging people to screw other people over.

  • Man...I wish I was in the audience that day!

  • The whole idea of Cramer being on Stewarts show should have been obvious, like the shoeshine boy telling you the next hot tip, that this was the bottom and it was time to buy. It was almost the EXACT bottom, it was within days as I recall. Stewart chewing out Cramer cause he's lost so much money and he's freaking out.

  • You tell us Jon. Your brother is the head of the SEC

  • @ready2roll That makes Jon's views even more honorable, he comes from a wealthy background but chooses to fight for people who aren't that fortunate.

  • Jon Stewart never watched Cramer's show, that was obvious.

  • I like Stewart, but he is playing Cramer up like some kind of bad guy when Cramer isn't the one to blame. Maybe its a lack of understanding of the financial crisis, or maybe its just an easy target because most people don't really know how the financial crisis came to be, and want a face to blame, but Cramer is just a guy who has had alot of success investing and wants to share his knowledge. His advice has helped me, and lots of friends, in our planning and investments.

  • @JudokaJames If you saw the whole interview, you'd know that Jon appoligizes to Cramer, saying that he doesn't mean to single him out, it's just that Cramer was the only one brave enough to make a comment and come on the show (following Stewart's ORIGINAL bit re a wall street guy saying he didn't want to bail out his neighbours' mortgages- right after the big Wall Street bailout.) That context is left out of this short clip.

  • How about ANR at $48 bucks? He made a huge spectacle about it, even reinforcing that "it's government backed!" It was $28 less than a month later. Less than 2 months later it was just over $15.

He did the same thing for Janus Capital, JNS, on that same episode.

  • Kramer is a shill for the corporate media. If you research guru ratings then you will find Cramer's stock picks are no more accurate than a coin toss. He is all hype...basically entertainment for the layman investor.

  • @damienrockaterror True story. A lot of the calls he made were just flat out wrong. TZOO fell 30% (hitting most investors stops) Bear Sterns, NFLX, the list goes on. But somehow the guy is still touted on CNBC as some genius because what, he ran a hedge fund and did well? Individual investors need to do (and I know it sounds crazy) their OWN research, because most of these guys are just pushing their own positions (Dick Bove is a perfect example, bank sector is down 20% for the year)

  • @HKUser92 Actually he ran the most successful hedge fund ever. For over ten years, 24% return. He graduated magna-cum laude at Harvard College and Harvard Law, but he is dumb? OK. Stewart takes his worst pick and highlights it. Nobody's perfect. Has Warren Buffet made a profit on every trade? No. But if you only brought up his missteps he would look like a moron. The fact that you idolize a guy who just has a TV who reads jokes written by his writers is funny. A monkey could do that.

  • @dwt0004 Are you really this stupid. Where did I say that I like John Stewart? I think he's a joke actually, and most of my friends get angry at me for not liking him. As for Jim, I never called him dumb, but I called into question his advice on stocks. I gave a handful of examples of his mistakes, NFLX was a huge mistake, Bear was another, but there are more than that. My point is stop listening to these entertainers and do YOUR OWN RESEARCH. That would require too much work though.

  • I almost felt bad for Kramer

  • Ironic that FOX news shows this clip, so they are on his side now?

  • "Where are the indictments for AIG??"

Great quote. Criminals run the Attorney Generals office.

  • CANT FIND THE FULL INTERVEW!! ANYONE??

  • Rick Perry wants to appeal all wall street regulations and make it so wall street pays no capital gain tax.....

    Go f**k yourself GOP

  • @Goontrader2 I think you mean REpeal, and we should repeal some GOVERNMENT regulations and replace them with FREE MARKET regulations. There is a big difference: government regulations just get in the way and prevent growth, while market regulations protect the interests of consumers. If you mess up, rip people off and take advantage of people in the free market, you go Bankrupt. In a Crony Capitalist society, the criminals get bailed out while the middle class get screwed.

  • This isn't the whole interview. It's been edited. Find the full version

  • I'm so glad Jon Stewart is looking out for people. You can lead a horse to water, he's willing to splash a little in our face.

  • @jowen034 i'm curious. who's Larry Leibowitz

  • @alvisc2002

HOLY FUCK!!! how.... did I not know this..... its everywhere... no one is untainted

  • NO ONE WITH SENSE

    PUTS MONEY IN A 401K

401K = CASH DONATION TO WALL ST

    YOU GET TAKEN

NOW - TODAY - ARE YOU GLAD TO GAVE TO YOUR 401K vs. Precious Metals?

  • @Masterdebater747 AKA bad dude. He doesn't have to stroke a cat and laugh maniacally to announce it.

  • this snake oil man like all other dumbass wannabe financial advisors on tv are scammers. like this idiot cramer that does a proven technique called "pump and dump stocks". from what i know this shit is illegal yet it shows you how far greed in the goverment can go and not give a damn. as long as they profit.mabe not directly but to there associates

  • Jon Stewart is being unfair towards Kramer.

The guy just wants to give financial advice, he's not a journalist.

  • @ronimacarroni

My farts smell like Herr's BBQ chips.

  • @1981busch Stick to Canadian politics because you have no clue what in the hell you're talking about.

  • I said this before, I live in Canada, Jon Stewart is probably one of the rare journalists with any integrity in your emerging tyranny, the fact that he is a comedian is ironic, and makes me nervous,a serious comedian, and a joke of a media is a bad mix for a neighbor who is armed to the teeth and waving guns around the entire world, not to mention thermonuclear warheads. I actually considered moving away from anywhere that the us can influence, but I dont speak Chinese. Your a fucking hero Jon!

  • @1981busch I like Jon, but sometimes he can be a bully.I don't blame him, its his crafty way of getting people to listen and think. In any experience their is bad that comes with the good, but it's important to recognize both these men broadcast some valuable ideas,

  • @ibarrettall @coplepk04 Like it or not, this is by far a better interview than you're likely to find in recent memory in any of the mainstream American news media. The fact that it the interviewer is running a comedy show is indeed ironic and worrisome.

  • @1981busch Dude, if you hockey stick loving, maple syrup sucking, flappy head, beady eyed Northerners really want a nuclear warhead, but one on the black market. Duh!

  • @1981busch He's a comedian. Not a journalist. He said himself that its ironic that people trust his comedy show more than they trust mainstream media.

  • @1981busch Even if u were, I think u'd be better off with democracy and freedom...

  • @1981busch Come to Aus, only one us base with only one D.U.M.B. of theres. In the Northern territory bum fuck no where. Aussie Dollar is going strong too get it while its hot USD will fuck up 85% of trading markets around the world.

    Good luck in this year.

  • When Jon Stewart has rosecolored glasses on. Until the liberals Jimmy Carter's CRA and the Freddie /Fannie Maye debacle caused this mess we will never get out of this mess.

  • @1981busch look out, Canada! All our thermonuclear warheads are aimed at Toronto, and you know us, we love to launch those bastards everywhere.

  • only way to get indictments is if the people get out onto the streets in the millions and riot like they did in Egypt. Americans are too lazy and the fact that they have not gone out onto streets means that things are not yet all that bad for them. Had the market completely carshed and the country had gone into depression you would have seen the desperation on the streets and only then would we have gotten the indictments.

  • Nah Stewart was just looking for someone to yell at. The market is so complex that the easiest way to seem like a hero was to put the most recognizable face associated with our market on TV and blame him for everything. Anyone who takes Cramer's advice at face value is a fool to begin with.

  • seriously, where the hell is al qaeda when we need them :(

  • @necessaryevil101 Well, where you don't need them... They fight against america, not for it ;)

  • Economic institutions are corrupt, they have found ways to game the system. From fiat currency and interest to hostile takeovers and economic bubbles.

Then we charge the government with the task of protecting us from their shenanigans. Unfortunately, the government thinks that their task is to maintain the stability of the market, so all their policies go to try and hold up the economic institutions. So it becomes this endless cycle of busts. It's like we're running a money buffet for the rich.

  • This is the reason i like Stewart than the other guy Steve colbert

  • Just so we're all clear - Jon Stewart is the fraud...he pretends to play for the little guy and has taken it on himself to take down Wall St, but what's funny is his brother is the #2 guy at NYSE Euronext Lawrence Leibowitz. So, am I right to say his segments called "these F**king guys" are about his brother?

  • @PVC919 If you have seen the entire video he goes on to say that it gave people the wrong view of wall street unfairly, and that he knows many of the people and most of them who work their are working their ass off and trying to do the right thing but are getting fucked in it as well. Just another example of how FoxNews can swing a story one way or the other

  • @nickg028 Wait - you said "another example of how foxnews can swing a story"...isn't that exactly what Stewart is doing? Why doesnt he invite his brother on? After all, the NYSE facilitates and profits on all these transactions. Cramer doesnt hide who he is - he's a stock picker and an educator, and admits when he makes bad calls...what has Jon Stewart contributed to society?

  • @PVC919 good jokes and a purifying media

  • @PVC919 You have a strange infatuation with Jon Stewart and his brother.

  • @PVC919 if my sister was a prostitute, then by your logic I too get fucked in the ass because of my kin? Just because his brother works at Euronext doesn't mean Stewart is part of anything. Exposed.

  • @LordKaisen Exposed? not quite. If it were that simple, yes I agree. But, if it was your job to crack down on prostitution, and put a spotlight on all the women engaged in it, but never mentioned you sister, then you would not be doing your job. Do yourselves a favor, look for a video of good 'ol Larry speaking at a trader's gathering back in '07...forecasting the financial crisis, but saying "don't fear, we will profit greatly on it"

All i'm saying, if he's gonna go after one, go after all.

  • Why does it take a comedian to do some real fucking journalism?

  • @boricuamm707 Thumbs up sir, thumbs up. I've asked myself the same damn question everyday for the last few years.

  • @boricuamm707 Because comedians are the most serious people on this earth. They really are. They get paid to say things nobody else has the courage to say. Stewart is a hero.

  • listen to PETER SCHIFF FOR FUCK SAKE HE HAVE BEEN WARNING ABOUT THIS YEARS AGO.

  • @tk291100 there is always somebody warning about anything. If you are going to listen to *everydoby* warning, you'll have to hide in your basement with a tin foil hat. Even a broken watch is right twice a day.

  • @Eikinkloster so just ignore all the warnings? i think it makes much more sense to listen to the warnings, do your research, and observe what's going on in the world and decide for yourself what's going on. it makes little sense to intentionally remain ignorant.

  • @PrideComethB4theFall or skip most warnings and just do your research regardless, and raise your own warnings.

  • @Eikinkloster if you assume that warnings should equate to panic. that's not what i'm saying at all. i'm not the type to panic because panic usually results in irrationality. oftentimes, people who warn us are doing so because information has been repressed or lies are being perpetuated. in the case of the housing bubble, many people did their "research" on all the keynesian models involved. it's the same model taught in universities, so many keynesians economists did not have seen it coming.

  • See thats the problem with john stewart when hes a comedian hes basically like a sleeping tiger, once he turns serious he will eat ur family and still have time to shit on the remains

  • @hhmspotatohead2 Jon is all form, no content. He has a perfect command of pauses, of smug eyebrow raising, of strong words... but he has no real idea whatsoever to convey. He is a fool, but a masterful fool at that.

  • People are so ignorant about Cramer, they're all caught up in the cliche of government corruption and Wall Street capitalist pigs.. it's true sometimes, but far from always

  • @iPwnedUnigga You're an idiot

  • @iPwnedUnigga what's that suposed to mean??

  • We need more of Americas people to get involve in politics and start making changes to the government... Changes that would really benefit the people are needed... Greed rules us and everything is about money... I am truly sad that this great nation might have to see more suffering of its people and continue it's path on receiving a negative reputation... to start changing it's greedy habits and direction...

Is the United States just to big (powerful) to rule itself any longer?

  • Jon Stewart is an expert in all areas! He knows much more than a Harvard educated financial expert that ran a successful hedge fund for years!

How dare you try to "show" the great Jon Stewart the "shenanigans" of the financial sector!

He'll tell you about finance bitch!

  • @Joefest99 He didn't even study economics or finance at Harvard, he's a cowboy if there ever was one as the clip of his comments regarding his practices as a hedge-fund manager highlight.

  • @Joefest99 Were you even watching? He was not at all saying he knew more than Jim Cramer at all. Rather that harvard educated financial expert Jim Cramer uses his very real knowledge to GAME THE SYSTEM and screw people out of their money. For fucks sake, Cramer even said it himself.

  • lawl...Jim makes people money...bottom line.

  • PREPARE...FOR THERE WILL BE A SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE IN SEVERAL COUNTRIES WORLDWIDE.

  • Hi guys, can anyone tell me who Jim Kramer is and whats the problem?

  • @MelekBetul

    Google it.

  • @someguy459, wow, thanks.

  • there are better edits of this exchange out there

  • I like Jon Stewart, but I honestly don't think he was fair to Jim Cramer in this interview. It's obvious that all the information is stuff he's fed from all his writers. He's not done the homework himself, so he doesn't realize what he's doing. Jim is one of the few people on financials that will go out of his way to help the little guy by elucidating the nonsense the big guys do. He calls out bad financial practices all the time. But Stewart's writers aren't gonna mention the "hall of shame".

  • @ndividuall stewart is one of the writers, what carmer did was dumb he knew what he was doing

  • @ndividuall Are you serious? Jon Stewart is an intelligent informed individual It sounds like you're saying that everything he says is thought up by his "writers." That's ridiculous. He has who own ideas and writes his own stuff. The only thing he would have access to are some people to research topics for him. He's to busy to watch days worth of video to get a relevant clip, but he also could have already seen it. But NO ONE tells Jon Stewart what to say or forms opinions for him.

  • @ndividuall Son, I am dissapoint.

  • WHY CAN'T I FIND THE FULL INTERVIEW

  • @TH3B1TT3RP1LL

The full interview is on Jon Stewart's website. Go to thedailyshowDOTcom and search for "cramer". Look for the parts that have "extended" in the title as these are longer and unedited versions of the interview.

  • Believe it..This is not Cramer's fault...We have a right to check our own business finances. I would never trust just one person...I need to take responsibility for my own decisions, and not blame someone else, because they just give an opinion. The stock market is not a sure thing. People make money, because they take risks, and with risks comes uncertaint situations, and with that people are not 100% right.

  • this country is a loke, this cramer guy still has a show and an audience.

  • I'm gonna pistol whip the next guy that says shenanigans.

    Oh, and Kramer got pwnd.

  • @bsnxenogear shenaningans.

  • cramer sounds like josh lyman from the west wing. anybody?

  • 1:08

Cramer: "What else Can I do I mean, Last nights show.."

Jhon: "No no no no no... I want...Desperately for that, But I feel thats not what we are getting, what were getting is, Listen,

The interview then carrys on at 1:09

untill 1:14 when the video is edited again..

John: "....The entire network was..." was left out.

Not surprised theres allot of mystery out there. SEARCH:

"8/9 - Wall Street Whistleblower Proves That Money Never Sleeps - Full Movie, Not Official Trailer" 5:08mins in.

  • starting at 1:01

Jhon: "I understand you want to make finance entertaining, but its not a ****ing game.....And I...When I watch that...I get...I can't tell you how angry that makes me..Because what is says to me is....You all KNOW."

    Jim: Buh

Jhon: "You all Know whats going on. You can draw a straight line from those shenanigans to the stuff that was being pulled at Behr and at AIG...and all this derivative market stuff is a weird wall street side bet."

Then picks up at 1:05 with response.

  • John is scary good when he gets serious. He owned Cramer.

  • Jon Stewart is an employee of Comedy Central, who is wholly owned by Viacom, who does not own a single share of News Corp (the parent company of Fox). Get it straight before you accuse Stewart of doing Fox's biding.

  • Jon Stewart is really biased because he works for FOXXXXXXXXXX.FOX IS RACIST AND BIASED.

  • @lacongerasambera he doesn't work for fox

  • @glass509 yeah he works for the best network ever. comedy central lol south park bitcheS!

  • @lacongerasambera what? Jon Stewart works for Comedy Central and is staunchly anit-FOX.

  • @lacongerasambera Jon Stewart does not work for Fox.

  • Wow look at that unprofessional Breaking news bulletin produced by Fox News .They're calling Joe Kramer a" 2 faced Business Con" the guy is shit, but you wouldn't think a news media outlet would just cheap shot like that

  • oh did the name calling hurt your feelings? Break it down, john stewart claims he coned everyone. 2 faced because he apparently knew what the banks were doing. So shud up saying fox news took a cheap shot.

  • If you work for Fox News OK maybe your defending the network makes sense but if not gobble my sack stupid.

  • @Deepstarr7020 Its true though.

  • gotta love that fair and balanced graphic that fox news has up

  • It seriously was hard to watch, as Jon said. You can't blame it all on Kramer, but he took advantage just as all of these fucks did.

  • I have never seen Steward so mad, haha, wow Jim Cramer face was priceless lol i love it

  • jon stewart's serious, and he owned jim cramer..
