  • I almost lost a friend the other night. She was so lost and confused and just so tired of everything. I asked her to promise me that if she ever decided to just end it all that she would tell me first. She asked me what I was so afraid of. I told her I was afraid of "Losing you to you". She kept her promise. I told her to stop and she waited for me. The first time I've seen her in weeks was to spot her was next to a bridge. I ran to her. We both laid on the grass and pretended to float away.

  • post rock is my secret from this world

  • I love this song. But shit, it makes me feel so sad.

  • This is what most musicians would classify as genius.

  • I'm not even stoned but I feel I'm losing my emotional balance. Great music. Listening to it while on the lying on the bed with lights of the room turned off!

  • i'm still loling at "xLUVYGOOOKE"

  • <3

  • Thanks TwoThirds!

  • Stumbled upon Hammock by accident while listening to PANDORA..... I'm glad I did!

  • Did anyone noticed that the link says xLUVYGOOOKE?

  • why do you need drugs to get high when you have this song?

  • Truly beautiful music!............Kudos to you all!!

  • their best song IMHO

  • this is amazing

if you're a big fan of hammock then ' gabriel williams - without form ' is a must listen

  • @chiledofthekorn will check that out, thanks for sharing =)

  • this music is great for chilling and doing some art!

  • God created the world.

    Hammock created God.

  • @TrafficoinviaTorino whoa there! lol

  • continued from last post ...

But there are small moments in which you almost feel like you are close to some unknown truth about yourself. You feel it in your very being. Hammock's music gives me this feeling. The best truths cannot be spoken - only felt.

  • Do you ever feel like a very important emotional part of you is missing? For many of us we spend our entire lives searching for answers to this. Whether through money, through personal relationships, through introspective searching, through drug induced mystical experiences and so on. Really, what we are looking for is truth about ourselves, which - in this life we apparently are not supposed to understand ...

  • @philm00r That my friend is the hole in all of us that yearns to be close to our creator. But he's not just a creator that formed us as clay and watches us wreak our havoc on eachother. The only thing he desires is to be close to us, and us to him. A father, if you will. Who has given us all a choice to choose death, through our natural actions, or true life, and being alive with him. Through faith in Christ. And not turning back to what destroys us. But I don't mean to preach.

  • unveiling hammock has adjacently led to the elevated unveiling of life

  • that made me cry

  • This is great music to get stoned to. Most of my friends would disagree, but I don't care.

  • @NCla94 It lets you float on the clouds of your imagination.

  • @NCla94

when i found this i thought the same thing but i got no bud left :(

  • @NCla94 Man... Any music is great to listen to while stoned

  • @NCla94 I'm on your side dude, post-rock is one of the most emotional kinds of music and when you're stoned it just amplifies that emotion so much. It's wonderful.

  • What i really like in hammocks tracks is not only that he is a good producer .. but he always chooses the right name for the right track :)

  • I'd like to listen to this while dying in space.

  • @SelfRevolution37 most death in space that i've seen comes from suffocation or the sun burning you (unless you count sc-fi).

  • I can feel my soul reaching out to me.. I'm crying. :'') so powerful.

  • Sounds like the end of a relationship. Relaxing & depressing all at the same time.

  • Comment removed

  • Now that Ive found Hammock I can finally move on with my life

  • lol this sounds like the part of the movie where they have sex

  • @Davidarmo42415 You're right but only a good love scene would have music like this though.

  • @Davidarmo42415 Correction, the part of the movie where they make sweet, sweet love :P

  • @JDawgBlu indeed lol

  • @Davidarmo42415 lol, I was kinda thinking the same thing. not a one night stand type thing though, but when the people are truly in love and its passionate :) haha

  • Just forget the labels...

Music is like a 3D universe where we can connect any point to another one, creating new sounds and new concepts...

No boundaries, just music, some is better than most, as this one really is.

    Enjoy :-)

  • it's amazing how good music is from such a bunch of vile creatures...

  • this is amazing

if you are a big fan of hammock you will love

  • this reminds me of so many people ive lost.

  • the music so dosent go with the title of the song!!!

  • If you like Hammock, Helios, Boards of Canada, Eluvium, The Album Leaf, Sigur Ros, Unwed Sailor, and similar artists, you may like my stuff. I'd love some support! :)

  • It's like Mono, or the chilled out parts of This Will Destroy You.

    I'm a new fan - Love it.

  • @Rentazg I dont like the fact that there are people who take everything the wrong way... just cause someone says " This song is great to chiill to with a J " or something like that does NOT mean they need a fucking joint to listen to it... it concerns me that there are so many fools out there that think people mean they need drugs to like the music. Quit trying to sound smart or point out something that isnt there for fuck sakes.

  • @MsbShared Totally agree. I really don't understand why people need drugs to understand music.

  • @pimpguitar1 Those who think only drugs make music/music listenting better, are just possers trying to escape real life, and can't see nor appreciate the beautiful things of the reality.

  • @jagphsd Yeah. the sad part of all of this is that I am suicidal. Last night I literally thought out many different ways I could commit. Although my reason is childish, and inconsiderate, I cannot find out who or what my purpose is for this world. All I truly want is the compassion of a relationship. I'm 15. Please, please help me out with whatever mediation you can give me.

  • @pimpguitar1 once you have that compassion, all you'll want is to be single and 15 again. it does get better. and easier. but there'll always be those nights. you just have to have faith that it's all working as it should.

  • @pimpguitar1 I meant I don't understand why people think people are saying they need drugs to understand the music drugs just give a different experience whether it is better is up to the individual nobody has the right to say their way is better.

  • <3 Chillout ! relax ! < 3

    Beautifull !

  • I thought this was Shoegazing/Dream Pop? Not Post Rock? .. and yes this is a FANTASTIC song to listen to highing.

  • Did anyone else notice the URL for this video is "luvygooooke"? It sounds like it's describing a mushy love song. XD

  • @hazgirl22 Wow, you are right. The odds of the random youtube URL being at least somewhat readable are astronomically low! This is the only one I've ever seen that has come close to having real words in it. AND it sort of applies to the video! Mind = blown

  • amo a esta banda

  • i love this. its amazing.

  • my life is better now that I've found Hammock. unbelievably, amazing music.

  • someone know wich are the real meaning of post rock??...or...well...IM just only listen...perhaps we dont really know the meaning of signific of this kind of music its just only wonderfull

  • In theory, Post Rock is defined as music made with Rock instruments, but not beiing Rock. There's so much sounds in this definitions, Hammock's is one of the softests Post Rock bands, almost in the Ambient line.

  • @jagphsd i would definitely qualify this as the Ambient / Down-tempo genre.

  • @Buditokid But the meaning... Post Rock is what the music of 2050 should sound. A future where words are no longer needed. And Ambient Post Rock, this kind of Post Rock... That's even greater. Only an endless harmony of howling instruments... That's 2100. At least I hope that's what music in 90 years will sound like.

  • @fluence51 is the best comment i ever read in youtube thanks dude...hahahah i though i was the only guy think that...=D

  • @Buditokid I don't think anyone can understand the significance of this except for the artist. At the very least, yes, it is wonderful.

  • that is just amazing!! i'm studying right now while listening to it!!

thank you so much for the upload :)

  • wow this is so relaxing. sounds very similar to post-rock bands like Explosions in the Sky

  • In fact, this is a really soft Post Rock, with Ambient music elements. Cheers ;)

  • @desimc89

mmm, not so much. Explosions in the sky is powerful emotional music.

Thiis is much more relaxing, ambient music.

  • @desimc89 Just thinking that too!

  • @desimc89 Your comment is a year old, and yet you just introduced me to my new fav band.

  • very soothing

  • How can you not love hammock! Love it
