Yes very, i think it was just a rushed "filler" series, you know just to get more views and money and attention and yota yota. But still a great series. All the other series had their own problems, as in how quickly someone died, or became a great pilot, or using the same fight scene over and over. Etc.

Having said that, what I meant was that 08th MS Team is more realistic than most other Gundam shows. Infact, I think Gundam is at its best when it embraces its more realistic (not necessarily fully realistic) elements and at its worst when it embraces the ones that are less so.

@spitzmachine this show was made 1985, mobile suit gundam was 1979 (notice the years in the show and in real life, U.C 0085 and U.C. 0079 respectively). Only Gundam show before this one was the original. This is what got Gundam popular in Japan, like how Gundam wing got it popular in the US. they made a spinoff/prequil gundam 0083 stardust memory like in the 90's. Also, sum1 mentioned 8th ms team, that was 1995, same year as gundam wing.
