Frank Joyce you old stick up the butt, there are things that are only qualified when spoken by someone else, one cannot call oneself a patriot in the same way one cannot call oneself a good parent. Those judgments are genuine only through the eyes of a second party.
In light of videos showing UFO\s gathering around electrical storms in the earths atmosphere it wouldn't be much of a stretch to think maybe one of those experienced d malfucnton and crashed.
why would they launch a balloon in this kind of weather (thunder storms) anyway? plus mac brazel was use to balloons he picked up dozens of em on his ranch so he would have noticed the difference and why did it take the military all these years to explain the so called bodies were crash dummies.. er or anthropomorphic dummies lol O.O ..I..
@gentle7ways7 Thanks. Yes, I'm not sure why either. I don't think they had microphones intelligent enough to distinguish between a blast from Russia or car exhaust from downtown Tucson, AZ. - If they were really serious about a balloon, they would have flown it over Alaska, not Southwestern U.S.- even then they wouldn't have to because they were still in the continental U.S., so there would no need for it. Also, you're not "allowed" to fly ANYTHING near a military base without permission.
@flapjack9999 again another good point or two, always wondered why they conducted radar tests trying to detect soviet atomic explosions from such a distance maybe the altitude was higher and less electrical interference in a less populated area although alaska would have been more appropiate like you rightly said..Hmm strange O.0 and right again about balloon especially if the 509th wasn't in the know how? it wasn't even logged yet every top secret test was logged ?
@gentle7ways7 Thanks. If they wanted to spy on the Soviets they could have done so from Japan, since there are military bases there- no need to do it from the States at all.
In recent years the military claimed to come clean and that it was a classified spying project, a set of sensors mounted on a set of balloons to detect nuclear weapons launches out of Russia, but the guy that made that press release was a lecture in psychological operations. Most likely disinformation.,

It was a top secret military vehicle that crashed. That is why they covered it up.
