  • what was your husband pouring in the background? at 13:47?

  • Your husband is so sweet! He seems like he would be a big help!! What a sweet man. Way to go on home-birthing!! You make it look so easy! You don't look like you're in pain at all! Great job! :]

  • @purplezebra1422 Thankyou! My husband was a very big help, couldn't have done it without him :)

  • I'm 9 weeks pregnant right now.. with my first child my friend Elizabeth had a Unassisted Birth I'm not entirely sure if Iam yet watching videos defiantly makes me want a home birth.

  • @Lori10111 You should go for it! You could try a homebirth with a midwife, that might make it a bit easier being your first and and you dont know how your body will react in labour. I recommend hypnobirthing too, as it helps you get the right mindset while your in labour and dealing with the strength of the contractions.

  • @summerchic21 Hypnobirthing hmm I'll look into them thanks for replying.

  • Awww your hubby is so caring....great video !

  • "are you excited?"

    Austin "no."

Haha, he is so adorable! beautiful family :)

  • @gtslly123 oh he was actually talking to his daddy in the next room coz he said "happy birthday" then Austin said "no, Happy baby night" lol

  • @summerchic21 My friend really wanted to have a home water birth and she got me pretty interested, luckily she did go to the hospital because she ended up having complications and was in labor for 36 hours.. But they're both great now. =) I wanted to have a waterbirth with my daughter but the tub at the hospital wasnt working.. Was the water you were in heated at all? Or was it cold? Thanks =) Im way too much of a wimp for a home birth lol but Im considering a waterbirth in the future. =)

  • @michellenn93 The water was heated to body temp, it was pretty warm in the air too so it kept the pool warm for a good amount of time. Water births are so great I hope u get to have one next time :)

  • what brand of iron did you take?

  • @creamsodaistasty floradix

  • Ooops sorry! I thought it didn't post the first time! Haha :/

  • Wow! You really are amazing! You should become a doula ;) Can't wait for part 2..

  • did the water help you not to tear?

  • @SidneySkywalker777 It probly helped but then i didn't tear with my first either and that wasn't a water birth. I think its a combination of good elastic skin and the water helping to soften it.

  • You seem so calm. Your husband is a great assistant. :) Looking forward to part 2.

  • the first part u dont even look like u are in labor!

  • im waiting for part 2 :-)

  • So beautiful...so very, very beautiful.:)

  • Can't wait to see part 2!!

  • Thank you for sharing this moment with all of us. You seem so calm through out the video. Looking forward to part 2!

  • Beautiful! Your husband seems very at ease with the whole thing.. that made a huge difference to me during my labour.. I also found having that pressure on my lower back AMAZING while I was labouring at home. I can't wait for part 2!

  • This is amazing!!! You were so calm and looked so relaxed. Soo strong.

  • You are so calm and beautiful! What music did you have playing? It was so peaceful. Can't wait for part 2.

  • @WithGodsGrace its called chakra suite by steven halpern :)

  • I love how amazing your husband is...So happy to see this video in my feeds! xoxo!

  • It is a beautiful video. Thank you so much for sharing. Your husband is amazing and attentive.

  • beautiful video Emma! so glad everything went well for you! excited to see part 2!!!

  • @yourpeanutsshell I had a birth pool too and we were able to hook the hose up to the kitchen sink. it looks as though that's what Emma did.

  • cant wait for part 2, you seem so calm and in control. Very cool.

  • If your using a hose, isnt the water freezing???

  • @yourpeanutsshell we had it hooked up to the hot tap but had to change it over to the cold tap every so often to get the right temp.

  • i was so in to this clip! my little girl was screaming and i said "sshhh riley a baby" haha! oops.

  • I envy you so much... Your entire labour experience... You make it look so incredibly easy and calm! I was crying and protesting like a child! I wanted a natural, med free VBAC but i was completely overcome with the pain, i dont know how you kept so quite! I was in honesty, quite ridiculous with how i reacted!!! I love how your hubby is there and helping so much (cont)

  • @AussieMummySince07 especially when you are both leaning on the pool and you look at him- so beautiful, i had none of that and my experience was far from special :( I wanted so desperately to feel supported and encouraged to do it natural but i didnt get that at all unfortunately. In the end my daughter was coming face first and got stuck so i ended up with another c-section :'( Id like another baby in the distant future but that will depend on many things... We shall see. Cant wait for part 2!

  • @AussieMummySince07 @AussieMummySince07 Everyone is soo different. I did much better with my first than my second.....at least that's how I picture it in my head. I thought I had the ability to remain under control but in the end I was screaming for them to "put me out of my misery". Then I vomited all over my husband. In my opinion any woman that gives birth is a hero. But yes, summerchic seems extra good at it :)

  • @azgrl12345 LOL i apparently threw up all over my daughters father too (he ended the relationship halfway through my pregnancy)! I remember throwing up, it was right after they gave me the stomache acid neutraliser :/ It didnt taste so good and i couldnt hold it in LOL

  • @AussieMummySince07 Do you think that's the reason why you vomited? I hear of some ladies vomiting during labor and it makes me paranoid! i get super anxious about it.

  • @creamsodaistasty Definately- i wasnt feeling sick until i was told to drink that disgusting liquid :/

  • @AussieMummySince07 Oh that is a shame you didn't get the birth you wanted, everyone handles pain differently though, i think the key is learning how to manage it. I am a big believer in mind power so if you really want something then if you beleive in yourself and your ability you should be able to achieve it, hopefully with your next one!!

  • Your other half hehe (sorry doing night shift) :)

  • You are amazing . Having control even with the bleeding that is brave . Well done to all of the people around you especially our other half :)

  • Can't wait for part 2! :)

  • We have a home birth planned for our little one (who was due on January 17th). I am so inspired by peaceful births. Hoping I can find that much peace while I am in labor. What are you thinking while you go through each contraction? Can't wait for part 2 :)

  • @MakingLifeSimple i hope you can too! I was concentrationg on my breathing at the start and trying to relax my body and not fight the contractions, when i got to transition stage it helped for me to visualise opening up and the baby descending.

  • @MakingLifeSimple Any luck yet?

  • You did such an amazing job and your husband was such a good help! He also did a great job :)

  • @mummybee88 thankyou

  • is there a prt 2?

  • @Thejaypierce69 yes i am still working on it.

  • holy, you are the most calm person i have ever seen in labour!!!! well done i cant wait for part 2! randon question what star sign are you?

  • @summerleem thanks, i am sagittarius

  • Such a beautiful video you look beautiful. You and your husband are so calm and in sync!

  • cant wait for part 2. thank you for sharing this with us!!! you are such a strong woman and your husband seems wonderful!

  • ur great

  • What an amazing birth reminds me a lot of my births apart from they were not at home, if I ever did it again I would be going for something like this what an empowering and wonderful way to bring your baby into the world.

  • You're so wonderfully calm and in control - I hope I can be like that! Congrats on a lovely birth - I'm looking forward to part 2!

  • In your final stages of labor did you have bad low back pain? Mine was so painful. I think a tub would have helped. I was in hospital for preclampsia and had an epidural but felt everything. I don't think the epidural really did anything. I'd like to do a water birth next time around and after seeing your good experiences with it, it's more of an option for me. I want to thank you for posting this! It seemed like a peaceful, loving experience with your family there!

  • @gillian927 my first birth was the same when it came the epidural... It didn't work! So I planned a waterbirth for my next pregnancy. However I also developed preeclampsia and had to be induced at 35 weeks. I was not able to do a waterbirth and was hooked up to so many devices, so I couldn't cope with the pain. I ended up getting the epidural again and my god did it work this time! I was so happy I got it! The birth was so painfree and pleasant. We pretty much talked and joked while I pushed!

  • @gillian927 I didnt feel it so much in my back this time, there was a great deal of pressure but it was more painful in my birth with Hazel. Water birth is definately a great way of easing the pain and helping you relax more :)

  • Love this your husband seems amazing! Can't wait to watch the second part
