  • change the way the sping is fixed car springs work in the other way

  • hah. just few secs before that thing blew up. i said that wiring that thing looks pretty dangerous.

  • tutorail please!!!!!!!!!!!!thanks subed friended!

  • Now your ready for Junkyard wars

  • whats the pounds?

  • what makes me laugh is by the time he loads his weapon, I would have killed the little shit

  • He took an arrow to the knee at 0:31

  • how do you make that because it is so awesome man so just f###en make a turtorial

  • Be careful, you don't want to take an arrow to the knee now :/

  • @mauro12345402 Wow, horribly unoriginal joke.

  • Where is the tutorial

  • I imagined that string breaking about 3 seconds before it did. That doesn't happen often.

  • I think your losing lots of power using that basic string. get a nice elastic workout band I think it would give you more power IMO

  • @SurvivalGrounds

    did you say ELASTIC ?

no... just NO - that is not how it works.

  • before u can cock that thing the enemy killed you with his crossbow needles...

  • Why not use piano wires with TWO leaf springs ?

  • @kimchijeegeah2 LOL

  • hey man i got to see how you made that its badass

  • could you check out mine i'm 12

  • please show us how its made

  • If anyone is planning on making something like this, be very, VERY careful. Leaf springs from cars and trucks are often asymmetrical for handling reasons. Even if they LOOK symmetrical, they can still have more rate, or "flex" on one end than the other. This can send a bolt spinning out of control, or even twist your stock and break it. The safest springs to use are from small utility trailers like you might buy at Sears. They're almost always perfectly symmetrical.

  • @daltonultra Also, forget rope. Use steel cable, passed through the eyes at the end of the springs and then crimped back to itself with cable crimps. Messing with rope or thin cable is just asking to get yourself hurt.

  • @daltonultra Oh, and you want the cable to have a bit of tension on it when the bow isn't cocked, otherwise, the total release of tension while firing will cause the bolt to wobble badly in flight.

  • holy shit awsome dude

  • hi dear.when u will add next show to learn how its made?

  • Yes

  • not the best reloaded time

solder: sir I've reloaded the crossbow!

King: well that would have been grate a month ago during the siege.

    solder:(under breath) Jerk!

  • olny thing i can do is... hahahaahahhahahahahaha

  • shit fucking idiot shit shit shit

  • first of all what is a leaf spring and how do you get it.

  • @ShepardMartialArts it's part of a car's suspension

  • @meanman1992 yeah, I realized that because I looked it up after I saw the video and thought "maybe I shouldn't have posted that"

  • @ShepardMartialArts yeah I don't mind answering questions but I think google should always be asked first :)

  • @meanman1992 I know what you mean. As soon as I clicked "post' I was thinking, "what in the world, why did I just do that" it's one of those accidental things when your mind goes blank for a second

  • @ShepardMartialArts leaf springs are very hard to get......you need to gather thousands of leaves from your lawn in the fall and pressurize them into a bow form by a mold that you can buy at most hunting outlets. Once the leaves are pressurized, you then add a black compound to harden the exterior, then you fire it in a furnace at over 900 degrees for an hour, after cooled....then you have to add a friction temper for the curve...or you can go to any auto wreckers and take one off any axle, haha

  • @ShepardMartialArts im a leaf spring, and first you need to by me a drink

  • you really suck man!!! hahaha

you're so slow and even if you're ready for the shooting you fail even harder!!!

  • I am not in a big hurry, I have been thinking about making a cross bow for years so I can wait a little longer to get it done right. It varies from state to state on cross bow laws and regulations. Here in WA state no permint is needed to posses a cross bow unless you are a felon. It isn't illegal to hunt game with a cross bow hear but I think it is west vagina that it is legal they had footage of a man deer hunting with one. I do have a concealed weapons permit to carry a hand gun hidden on me

  • @toogawnjawn fair enough, when I do something about it ill be sure to upload on this channel

  • Need a recoil pad on the front of that thing soes not to hurt the deer

  • I have wanted to make an accurate cross bow for decades and I am searchin for plans to make one plus what parts that I ned.

  • @toogawnjawn well firstly I wouldn't consider this an accurate cross-bow, iv dedicated my channel to making how to make videos and ever since making this crossbow I have wanted to make another one with a tutorial but I want to do it well and I want to do it legally, because you need a special permit here in Australia to own a crossbow so that will not be for a while but I have got a take down bow tutorial uploaded if that interests you. obviously they have a lot of similarities

  • That's wicked shit I'm into hunting Rabbits in residential areas and use a compound bow but it's to big that's perfect size

  • Haha, that's all holdens are good for, ripping apart for scrap to make better things. But even then they break lol

  • @BloodNinja7 haha

  • 0:32 for the epic fail :)

  • arrow material?

  • @marcialrms solid steel haha

  • the oldest and simpless weapon .. there the bow and arow that is simple but the crossbow is whoaaaa ...

  • I saw you asked about anybody getting shot with a crossbow. I did hear on the news about a guy that was killed, murdered, with a crossbow. The guy who did it got caught right away because he ran across the parking lot, where the murder took place, with the cross bow in his hands. If he had dropped the bow behind a car and walked toward the scene he might have gotten away with it.

  • please make a tutorial on how to make it::)

  • how did u make it ? i need one for hunting

  • I have a couple of questions, the first being what type of string/robe did you use. My second question is how did you string your crossbow? This is something i have been struggling with on my own crossbows, i can never seem to get my string to have tension. Finally how dd you make your trigger? I am currently experimenting with different designs but i cant quite figure out a reliable and efficient trigger design. Great crossbow, and a tutorial on how to make one like it would be awesome!

  • @attackofthehog *rope

  • Tutorial :D :D

  • if you get a better string youl get more power out of it

  • i like my inferno wildfire better lol

  • What sort of trees do the spring leafs grow on?

  • @callmeshane303 are you trolling?

  • @meanman1992

    Naa it's purely logical.

If apples grow on apple trees.

And boxes grow on box trees.

Then leaf springs must grow on spring leaf trees.

I mean it's obvious - but there are no leafs on any trees in wikipedia that looks anything that.

  • @callmeshane303 ic, well they grow on book trees, random IKR, but I thought it was common knowledge

  • @meanman1992

You could use extra leaves... same thickness or less but 2/3rds length - behind the main spring, then 1/2 length behind that.

When you cut the springs - use an abrasive cut off saw to make the straight cuts and then make the springs ends into very stretched 1/2 elipse's to flow the stress better, rather than concentrating it on a straight edge.

It's better to flow stress with curves and blends - through materials that can work harden and crack - under stress concentrators.

  • @callmeshane303 I really don't think this spring needs to be any stiffer

  • @meanman1992

One can never have it stiff enough.

  • @callmeshane303 box tree? wat box tree

  • @callmeshane303 Either you're stupid or trying to be funny. If it's the second one that good job lol

  • @callmeshane303 its not wood its the suspension on a car :p

  • @MrMastro19

No it's a leaf spring, from a leaf spring tree - grows in India.

  • @callmeshane303 it's nice when people answer questions for me, means I don't have to so thankyou

  • @callmeshane303 i have been told that the oak tree offers the best leaves.

  • @callmeshane303 hahahah! you made my day man!

  • @callmeshane303 You look in wrong place for these trees. Wikipedia no have. You must look in Ironwood Forest in country of Metalania. You must pluck from tree just after winter has concluded . This where name come from.

  • strong but takes too long to load....even dangerous to load i still wouldnt get this cuz what if u hunt and u shoot a deer and miss...it might not go away but by the time u load it the deers gone :I

  • Just found a website were they have The all NEW! 2011 Barnett Ghost 400FPS just for $839.99 with free shipping Retails for $999.99.

    OutdoorHuntingProducts(dot)com

  • you should just make a takedown bow tutorial instead!!

  • FAIL

  • 00:31 fail 0.o

  • nice ranger lvl?

  • hey ,next time cut the slow mo !!!

  • Killuhmike also check out vehicle salvage yards and also ask for the scrap pile, cost is up to the proprietor, a few might haggle with you on price

  • try n go to war with that thing...lol...takes forever to cock a bolt (n oh yeah...don't ruine it in battle ;) )

  • Damn this think could kill

  • tortraoil

  • I WANT ONE =D

  • epic fail

  • were do u think i can get a leaf spring for cheap and how much would i cost me?

  • @killuhmike99 ur best bet is to go to any trailer places and ask if they are throwing any out and if not ask if they mind you checking their metal bin every now and again (normally outside) and the price would be $0.00 :)

  • @meanman1992 and how did u get yours so flat, isnt there like a thick layer of metal on the middle section?

  • Respond to this video... wow! every weapons video i see can relate to Cod!

  • can you make a tutorial?

  • @hoebaboeba sooon

  • very nice man....to much power...

  • Holly shit that thing has got some power. I bet it could easily shoot straight through medieval knight armour, and come out the other side.

  • It's more a ballista than a crossbow! Cool!

  • if you want stronger string, try to find thin aircraft cable. it weight limits are in the 1000s lbs range, it will hold up to the draw weight. nice work :)

  • @metallicaholic43088 what ever it is i dont wanna be its target!

  • try with a truck leaf spring, and with some steel cables. Put steel cables anyway not to snap like that.

Use a manual winch to cock it.

  • what a horrible piece of shit

  • by the time he reloads the zombies will get him

  • @karpovonfire no becuse it' quite you can kill them without them knowing... (if you got smart zombies your dead anyways...)

  • thats a pretty cool crossbow. you should make a tutorial.

  • i want one

  • Turn the car spring around and it would work much better, It is designed to work the other war round.

  • @TheIvanyoung Yeah, that might make it weaker though; but easier to to cock.

  • looks like all you really need is an actual bowstring!

  • tutorial!!!

  • TUTORIAL!!!! plz!!!!!!

  • this video is fucking funny :D

  • Death BY STRING IT IS!!

  • Horse cock

  • Damn good man!

  • Bring out the gimp.

  • fail!!!!!

  • make tutorial

  • You're gonna lose a fucking eye...

  • Try wire rope friend. Steel cable for a string on that thing. You won't have to worry about breakage, and you can serve it at the nock contact point as well with something.

  • In England during the Middle Ages, owniing a crossbow was illegal. The only time you could possess one was in preparation for a Crusade to the Holy Land, which suggests the authorities sanctioned it's use on non-Christains :o)

  • Not even my Meatshield Nick could stop that behemoth.

  • nice crossbow mate!!!

  • i an on the verge of finishing mine... i took one leaf spring and sliced it down into two, which was not easy at all... i am now finalizing the balance and strength. what was your trigger mechanism, if you dont mind me asking. thanks and i have to say yours is simply awesome

  • Tutorial please

  • wow its bad ass

  • greatest vid ever every one subscribe

  • cool but needs a explosive tip.

  • should of forged a lever or something for that reload.

  • More zombies...

  • TUT!!!!!

  • make a tutorial please

  • TUTORIAL!!!

  • men we are waiting for the "how to" video

  • Take wooden darts with metal tip, they are lighter so the speed can increase, thats better for crossbows

  • I want a tutorial

  • thats awsome but can the reload be shorter =]

  • I want a Tutorial....hopefully I'm not the only one.

  • - -

    0 0 o

  • it looks more like a ballista

  • the crossbows from a leaf spring aren't so good.. i made one about 6 years ago.. i use metal wire for the cin and reload it by to hands and feets.. all the hard power is only ofr few meters.. then the arrows didnt flew so far.. its just a ilusion of strong power.. because the leaf spring is working to minimalize the road holes and hevy track over it.. It doesn't good material for cross bow..

  • your cleaver but be very careful with it.

  • its obviously extremely powerful, but i can help you invent a more convienent method of cocking (if you care to read this comment in the first place, which i find highly unlikely).

  • howitzer crossbow

  • By the time you'd reloaded you'd of been eaten by a bear

  • get a crank for reloading

  • i would have cussed so much if it broke on me like that.... -.-"

  • Can you show us how you made it?

  • watch?v=XlYsUwbMn8A

  • @xj650rj lmao

  • bless you

  • needs sleight of hand..

  • @TheGameEdit FUCK CoD

  • @TheGameEdit are you referring to my other video?

  • @meanman1992 no he means in cod, the perk.

  • What was the draw-weight of the crossbow? And the draw-length?

  • i damn well need one

  • Yeah, that looks safe.

  • Steel rope cable rated at 350 pounds will not break. Plus, it will allow you to use the full power of the automobile leaf spring. You also need a better winching method. I use a modified boat trailer winch to cock my medieval German crossbow.

  • i think you need to turn the spring the other way round, it will have more tension and speed.
