Hello Yu Ling ! Actually, most Americans know NOTHING about China and its people. What they DO hear are abstract soundbites, such "emerging economic super-power" and so on. It is absolutely crucial for people to understand, that there are PEOPLE in China, aside from the emerging economic elites there. Compassion for others is KEY to a more peaceful world, because it will not come about otherwise. Your first vlog was fantastic - thank you! Faved for sure !

China is beyond the reach of compassion. All the compassion in the world could not make up for what is wrong with China. It needs relentless unyielding dedication, and I believe China has that.

North America does not. People here get home, press a button and vegetate. They drive from place to place thinking what, I wonder some times. They do their jobs, most of them as poorly as they can get away with. And then they complain about it and wonder why their society is failing.

Unbelievably sad story Ling. Thanks you for sharing. I am just amazed and saddened and angry. What that girl went through, and sacrificed to try to make things better for other people, when there was no other avenue to take. It really puts into perspective the word "sacrifice" and how little we are doing, even when we think we are doing a lot, to make our reality better.
