Also, you must realize that a public option would be cheaper than continuing to pay for those ER visits, right?

Plus, you do ALSO realize this is not single payer, meaning those who opt into it will still have to pay, just less money, right?

So, the burden on the American tax payer would be LESS with it than without it.

It's not really "opting out" when you'll pay $1900/year in penalties for doing so. It's basically MAKING you opt-in.

That doesn't have anything to do with the Public Option, It's legislation in the bill that gives an individual mandate for COVERAGE, and if there is no public option you will HAVE to buy a private plan for more money, or the public one for less.

That IS an option.
