You are wrong. The cast, set, and costume design are all distinctively London, and this video was produced as part of a London theatre based charity drive. Starlight Express on Broadway looked very different, and never featured Lon Satton. Plus this uses the London logo, not Broadway.

So why this is in a Christmas TV programm called Broadway Christmas? And i thought Lon Satton featured the first Broadway Cast.

@Pamukici: The programme might've been shown as "Broadway Christmas" but this footage originally comes from a "Save the Children TV Special" from the UK. The Starlight cast is the late 1988/ early 1989 London cast - I recognise a number of them individually (Drue Williams, Amanda Abbs, Beverley Braybon, Caron Cardelle, Sam Sprackling etc). Lon Satton was not featured in the first Broadway cast but was a long-time London Poppa. Broadway Poppa was played by Steve Fowler.

This was a show one Christmas many years ago. All the big west end shows had the cast singing a christmas song, so it included shows like Starlight, Miss Saigon, Les Miserable, Cats etc etc.

I have the video in storage somewhere. I always loved this version particularly...

The majority of the songs (sung by loads of different people) aren't that good, but this one is exceptional - his name is Lon Satton.
