Toronto FC has hte best fans.... only reason we were 3rd is cuz we need a larger stadium. Theirs a 3 year waiting list for TFC Seasons tickets. We have enough waiting list deposits to sell out a stadium with 40 000 +... Worth a small Premiership stadium.

Plus, we have the most expensive tickets in the league. Chicago sells for what? $250 for seasons tickets? I paid $250 from a scalper for 1 TFC ticket

First off, I'm a Galaxy fan and MLS fan for life, but it's absolutely ridiculous to make excuses for how we played against Gamba. Gamba didn't have half of their team either, so why is it ok to say that us missing half of our team is ok? Gamba faced the exact same situation. Also, having Xavier isn't exactly like having Matthew Taylor back there. Xavier is pretty mediocre to below average. Face it, we have some serious issues in LA with our defense and it won't be fixed any time soon.

Redefine, I agree in part but LA does have some excuses:

- arrived in Hawaii 2 days prior to match

- didn't have a chance to train on the pitch at all (Aloha Stadium has FieldTurf)

- was missing 3 key personnel: Landon Donovan (tendinitis in his knee), Carlos Ruiz (coming off knee surgery) and Celestine Babayaro (still awaiting his work visa)

It's true Gamba was missing their best Asian players (away at Asian Cup) BUT they had their 2 Brazilian stars (one who led the J-League in scoring).

LA's defense needs some serious work. Xavier is good but cannot carry on his own. All in allm Gamba fielded a better side which usually brings the result.

And lets be honest, the Galaxy have been atrocious the last couple years...this from a supporter. Here's hoping some of the new blood brought in can turn things around this season. I want to see Ruud's famous "sexy football" already!

Conde was a fan favorite in only a half season. I don't care how articulate his statement is, he still wants to abandon the Fire so he can hang out with JCO, who made it clear when he came to Chicago that he wanted to use MLS as a step towards Europe. Clearly Conde wants the same. All I know is now the Red Bulls will get loads of extra hate from the Fire, and Osorio and Conde are the reason why.

Very true oy thats why the Galaxy couldn't do anything against Gamba Osaka, He was the only player on the team, the rest of the talent was on the bench, its hard to win when you only send out one of your top athletes

I agree with getting rid of the playoff system Thespian stretch the season out a little longer and put those playoff games into an season long cup tournament like the FA Cup. ONe teams wins the Cup tournament and one wins the league titl by having the best record at the end of the season, You put the cup final at the same time as the current one so you still have the exciting finish to the season even if the title race was a blow-out...which is unlikely anyway.

Well the Galaxy had not played a single pre-season game yet before their Gamba fixture, and if you look at the roster they had on the field most of the big name players were not on the field for various reasons...only Becks was the real star on the field...Where was Xavier? Donovan is supposedly injured, Ruiz is fat and Babayaro hasn't gotten his Visa issues settled, so for not having half the team playing not a terrible showing...But how bout Dynamo...dominating performance by Houston

You gotta talk about what is popular, though I agree I'm tired of hearing about Becks...and I'm a Galaxy Fan, well sorta I root for the league as a whole I like the season to be exciting for everyone but if I had to choose Galaxy would be it ever since the aquired Donovan. Anyway the only thing I can see them talking about the Crew for since they aren't good and don't have any high profile players to talk about would be their horrid uniforms worst in the league hands down, they need a makeover
