@iluvrnb1......im a professional truck driver over 3 million safe miles the truck that hit those cars in the tunnel u don't know what happened .....if he was coming around a curb how is he suppose to know stop vehicles r there ....of course slow down but it still wont stop the weight of his trucks forward momentum ......now believe. me being here in flat traveling all over a bad driver is a bad driver this wasn't his fault....but my god at least 90-95 of these accidents were preventable.

And someone has to pry the contraption (that was once a car) from someone (who was greatly loved), and return home to his/her love ones and pretend nothing happened today. God bless them and their family.
sucks that all of these accidents could have been avoided. if idiotic and stupid drivers just followed the rules, didn't drive distracted or drunk, and didn't speed, there wouldn't be any crashes of this magnitude. its unfortunate that governments let people like this get licenses. living in Miami I wonder many times how people got their licenses, let alone pass a test. 95% of all drivers in Miami don't even deserve to put their foot on the gas.
i had a pretty wicked accident a few years ago.. rolled 4 times took out a telephone pole, then another pole for a school zone. that was after i jumped the camel humps in my hometown... about 60ish feet, with a chevy equinox. only had a small scratch on my arm and neck, from the air bags, and dirt and glass flying around the car. And that's why i dont drink and drive anymore.

Truck VS Car, the car has NO CHANCE. I hate impatient prideful truck drivers who SPEED and TAIL GATE. Truck drives who do this will surely cause deaths, and most times they walk away. That truck driver in the tunnel just slammed into all 3 vehicles, there always in a hurry to make their next delivery.
8:11 STUPID Car is more like it. All other car damage visible is very survivable. 8:47 is amazing that only 8 died. Looks like the semi driver decided to die that day and take 7 others with him/her. These gruesome shots are a good reminder to drive defensively.
When I was in Italy for a vacation I was surprised (and really glad) that we never saw a wreck. I am not sure why, though. They drive scary fast and close. Riders on motorbikes leaned against the tour bus when we were stopped in traffic.

Looks like the editor(s) simply included the most gruesome of all in order to persade people...but indeed, some of these crashes comes from people who were not caring too much about dying in the road turned into a human pizza.

And I feel for the first responders that have to pull whats left of a person from these accendents. Firefighters have a nasty job. At least 5 seconds after it was green, 2 cars go right through the light! It was nearly a 5 car pileup. Idiots who run red lights. And they thought they had the right away.

99.9% of the population will watch this and think, "Oh, this could never happen to me!" Those are the folks that, before they get a license, should have to ride with an ambulance crew for a month or work in a hospital ER for a month. Unless and until you hear the screams of the injured, hear the moans of the dying, and see and smell the blood, it won't hit home. I will also tell you that you never get used to it.
Not only would this idea put an end to traffic casualties but also save people money, improve law enforcement, save peoples lives (driving while intoxicated) and also even people who come here to drive from different countries that dont even have a license (illeagal immigrants) and cant seem to drive worth a crap!!!! They'd even be able to drive safely and so could kids!!! as a matter fact, there wouldn't even be a need for a license any longer.. only ID's for identification purpose's.
I'd set it up in away that it would be under the cities control when it came to stopping at redlights, yielding to oncoming traffic etc... kinda like what they have with certain railroad sys's but set up in away that would work with traffic. Also, if the cops ever needed to pull someone over, all they'd have to do is type in your car's "code" and shut it down automatically and also lock criminals in so they cant escape then pull them over and un-lock (under their control)
This just shows that idiots need to PAY MORE ATTENTION on the roads and DRIVE MORE SAFELY!!!!!! I think they need to come up with car's that travel by magnetic force in a way that you can program (like a gps navigator) tell it your destinations and sit back and allow it to do the driving for you..

As John94263 said; this video should be in the driver's ed course. If you fall asleep during class, you get paddled, then punched in the face, then forced to watch it with your eyes peeled open with tape. That might be a little much, but i think many can agree, when watching most of the dumb crap that happens on this video, that I am justified in saying that. Am I right? 99.9% of the population will watch this and think, "Oh, this could never happen to me!" Those are the folks that, before they get a license, should have to ride with an ambulance crew for a month or work in a hospital ER for a month. Unless and until you hear the screams of the injured, hear the moans of the dying, and see and smell the blood, it won't hit home. I will also tell you that you never get used to it.

Not only would this idea put an end to traffic casualties but also save people money, improve law enforcement, save peoples lives (driving while intoxicated) and also even people who come here to drive from different countries that dont even have a license (illeagal immigrants) and cant seem to drive worth a crap!!!! They'd even be able to drive safely and so could kids!!! as a matter fact, there wouldn't even be a need for a license any longer.. only ID's for identification purpose's.

I'd set it up in away that it would be under the cities control when it came to stopping at redlights, yielding to oncoming traffic etc... kinda like what they have with certain railroad sys's but set up in away that would work with traffic. Also, if the cops ever needed to pull someone over, all they'd have to do is type in your car's "code" and shut it down automatically and also lock criminals in so they cant escape then pull them over and un-lock (under their control)

This just shows that idiots need to PAY MORE ATTENTION on the roads and DRIVE MORE SAFELY!!!!!! I think they need to come up with car's that travel by magnetic force in a way that you can program (like a gps navigator) tell it your destinations and sit back and allow it to do the driving for you..
